Synopsis

Ha Joyoon, a war correspondent for TPA, a foreign news agency, has been in a coma for five years after being involved in an accident in a civil war zone. Miraculously, he returns home and visits his ex-lover, but he was already with someone else … They were friends from birth, and lovers after they grew up. A man who never thought of breaking up with his lover and did not imagine himself with another person in his life, found his lover with someone other than him.

The world blames all the consequences on his selfishness and irresponsibility. It took time and different ways to end, but Ha Joyoon, who never experienced such a thing, falls helplessly and clings to an old lover who is trying to forget him. But then another man came into his life. This new man doesn’t need affection and just wants to enjoy carnal desires. It is the first time that Ha Joyoon has experienced separation and the responsibility of love in his 31 years of life.

  1. Oohh this premise sounds so interesting! It’s very angsty though so i might actually wait until the near end to read it… angsty cliffhangers are the worst :’)

Do you by any chance know exactly howuch chapters there are in the 4 volumes? 👀

Ty for the translation!!!! Hope you find an editor soon💜💜💜💜💜

    • haha that might take a while but the angsty cliffhangers are what keeps you wanting more, right?? XD

and i’m sorry, i don’t :(( i divide the chapters by word count since the volume itself only has ‘arcs’

  2. Ahhhh!! I’ve seen the manhwa but I really much prefer novel ones, so…. Thank you for thisssss!!! And goodluck! (๑˃̵ᴗ˂̵)و

  3. OH MY GODDD!!! i nearly missed this! i bought and mtl-ed the novel like 2 years (the translation was quite decent and i could understand most of the story) and fell in love with amarillia’s writing. this novel changed me in ways that no other novels/danmeis could, and i doubt ever would. it’s so beautiful and poignant, the story is captivating, the plot was realistic enough in terms of relationships and human emotions, and every character have their own charms and flaws that really bring them to life. i don’t want to spoil anymore but if anyone’s reading this comment, please do give this novel a try. it’s more than worth your while, i promise.

and to the translator, thank you! you beautiful, kind soul. thanks for picking this up. i hope you have the same joy translating this as i had reading it. much love <3

    • aaa wish i could pin this ;] but tysm for the review bc i truly agree, the writing is what made me pick it up since it managed to convey complex emotions so beautifully hehe

  5. Camping omggg I’ve always wanted to read the novel! tysm for picking this up 🥺❤️ I’ll start once the 1st volume is complete

  6. I was literally just reading the manhwa and I saw this! The manhwa made me feel a lot of emotions, I cried in some parts so I’m looking forward to this one. Thank you for picking it up! 💗

  7. Oh my god the Manwha version of this has me in literal tears every tuesday. I am ready for it to hurt all over again, but maybe i’ll start reading once every completed volume. Or i might just buy a lifetime supply of waterproof mascara.

  8. I read this as a manga and thought this is very emotionally mature and would make a good book. I’m pleased to see it is one. I hope it overcomes some of the gaps in the manga. This is not going to be for emotionally weak people.

  9. I liked the manhwa! The romantic feelings on the three were well managed, no dramatic and annoying drama, makes you feel, and the theme of war photography was interesting to see (with different character viewing it differently).

Not in the mood to re-experience a soty but I definitely will check out the last chapters in search of more content than the ones in the manhwa (I need a bit more 🥺). Happy it’s being fan-translated, thank you!

    — and for those wondering, the new guy isn’t a jerk. He is actually very nice even at the start

  10. I finished reading the manhua before knowing this novel. It was so sad I don’t want to read this again but..the temptation is so strong.

  11. Is this novel dropped? I’ve been following it but it seems to be stopped at chapter 52. I hope you finish, thanks for the hard work!

  12. Is this novel dropped? I check in once in awhile to see if there are any new chapters and I get notified on Discord but I’m really sad when I think that this story is dropped. 😭 Please say it aint so!!
