On their wedding night, Chu Xinglin had long anticipated the approaching heat period of Gu Huan, so after the bridal chamber, they naturally spent several nights together before finally resting.
It wasn’t until three days after Gu Huan’s heat period ended that he leaned against the bedhead, his body marked with traces, strands of hair sliding down from his shoulder, partially concealing the aftermath of their intimacy.
Chu Xinglin emerged from the bathroom, wrapped only in a towel around his waist. He reached out and put his hand on Gu Huan’s waist, massaging him, and affectionately kissing his jet-black hair. As he continued to nuzzle, his lips were about to meet Gu Huan’s, but Gu Huan stopped him, saying lightly, “I haven’t brushed my teeth yet.”
Gu Huan’s obsession with cleanliness couldn’t tolerate kissing someone before brushing his teeth, disappointing Chu Xinglin, who ended the kiss.
“Where’s my optical brain?”
“You’re resting. Don’t think about military affairs,” Chu Xinglin said, rubbing Gu Huan’s forehead.
“We’ve been resting for three whole days… and haven’t done anything,” Gu Huan retorted.
“Who said that? We’ve been doing plenty for three whole days.”
Gu Huan rubbed his ears, trying to suppress the heat rising in them, then threw Chu Xinglin onto the bed, put on a white bathrobe, and walked away. The holographic screen automatically lit up, allowing him to find his position. Gu Huan picked up the optical brain.
It wasn’t his imagination. Except for the first day, the sound of the optical brain never stopped during the following two days, and the backlog of messages exceeded his imagination. Gu Huan sighed helplessly, rubbing his temples.
Heat periods really led people astray.
Sitting back on the edge of the bed, Gu Huan looked down at the messages. Many of them were from Mo Xiao.
She was now a commander, in charge of several military districts, including Nie Chuan’s Jialin military district. She had the authority to act first and report later, so most of the messages she sent were the results after handling them.
He saw one particularly troublesome message.
“Chu Fengyuan has escaped.”
Sitting beside Gu Huan, Chu Xinglin hooked his shoulder, frowning upon hearing this.
“Letting Chu Fengyuan escape… the Interstellar Court has seriously neglected its duty. I must settle accounts with them.”

He had long wanted to carry out a major purge against them. This was the perfect opportunity.

“Hmm, he must have been driven desperate to run away… It must be very boring for him to be alone in prison.”
He smirked. “I never thought that after all these years of imprisonment, abstinence would be his greatest punishment.”
Gu Huan lightly bit his lip. “He has done so many unforgivable things, we must make him atone for them for the rest of his life.”
Chu Xinglin soothingly stroked Gu Huan’s neck, lightly kissing his neck.
“Let’s not talk about this now. Let’s go see the doctor first.”
Chu Xinglin’s hand reached Gu Huan’s lower abdomen.
“Here, we’ve been doing it for three days. I’m a little worried.”
This time it wasn’t just his ears, the marshal’s entire body flushed red. Despite trying to rub his ears to cover up his embarrassment, he could not hide his embarrassment and weakly murmured “Hmm”.
“The Empress still can’t conceive,” Ford Joe looked at the test report and informed the most important couple in the empire.
The entire empire was still in celebration.
The interstellar netizens had almost accepted the fact. They had thought that with the Emperor and the Marshal together, the empire would surely be ruined, but they didn’t expect that their Marshal was actually an omega, breaking new ground for the empire, standing at the highest position in the imperial army as an omega.
It was truly a joyous ending for everyone.
True love triumphs, and they could finally have a little prince of their own.
But only he knew… whether the Marshal was an omega or an alpha, it didn’t matter. Besides having an uncontrollable heat period, the Marshal was no different from a typical alpha.
“That’s not important… I just want to ask if entering his womb will have any impact on him?”
During these days of Gu Huan’s heat period, due to their honeymoon excitement, Chu Xinglin couldn’t help but penetrate Gu Huan’s womb, something he had never done in the past few years. So, he was a little worried that this action might have an impact on Gu Huan’s body.
“Cough, cough, cough.”
Although he was an expert in this field, Ford Joe blushed a bit when he heard about the private life of the emperor and empress, which perhaps only he knew.
“You can rest assured about that. There won’t be any problems.”
“As long as you don’t be as rough as the first time, there won’t be any problems.”
Suddenly hearing someone mention what could definitely be considered the most humiliating first time, Chu Xinglin clenched his fists tightly, enduring and threatening, “Dr. Ford, do you have to bring up my youthful indiscretions? Do you feel like you’ve lived too long?”
“I certainly wouldn’t dare. I just… happened to remember it,” Ford Joe wiped the cold sweat from his forehead and knelt on the ground.
Chu Xinglin’s voice became stern with annoyance. “Get out.”
Ford Joe scrambled to escape.
Once Ford Joe was far away, Gu Huan’s lips, which had been flat all along, couldn’t help but curve up slightly.
“Why are you angry with him?”
“I’m angry with myself for being so stupid back then.”
“But my infertility has nothing to do with you.”
Chu Xinglin tightly held Gu Huan’s hand. “I know, but I want them to think it’s related to that incident.”
That way, no one would blame Gu Huan for not being able to have children.
They didn’t know it now, but they would definitely know in the future. If a marshal like him was blamed by the people for not being able to have children, he felt stifled just thinking about it.
“The future of the empire has nothing to do with whether we have children or not.”
“Even if we pass the throne to Nie Chuan, the empire won’t continue to rely on bloodline inheritance as it did before,” Gu Huan said lightly.
“I see. Those two little ones are a pair,” Chu Xinglin said, intertwining his fingers with Gu Huan’s.
“He’s capable of triggering a mental riot for He Qixing.”
There is definitely a strong bond between them.
“So they won’t have children either.”
Gu Huan’s clear and cold voice softened a bit as he reminisced.
“I once saw a world where their leader didn’t become the leader through bloodline inheritance.”
“How did they do it?” Chu Xinglin asked.
“By ability and the love of the people.”
“Wasn’t that how the Empire Alliance started in the first place?”
“Between Chu Tiange and I, everyone has elected a new leader. Now we are just returning to our roots.”
So the two of them must complete a revolution.
“Then the time I estimated before was underestimated.” Chu Xinglin was a little troubled. “Paving this road… is probably going to take a lot of time.”
“At least I’ll be with you in the palace.”
I wonder if the OG ml will find someone he loves… Like Nie Chuan and Qingxing is living happily but what about him…? Even though it was mentioned to be like that it was only one of the possible outcomes, in this universe Nie Chuan picked Qingxing and I hope OG ml can also have someone to look after him
my other novel, Pheromone Recognition Disorder has a military shou and they get kids in the ending, be sure to check it out~
I actually have seen that novel flash across my screen quite a few times… I like the synopsis but I’m still hesitating on reading… cuz from the synopsis… I think it’s gong perspective… there’s nothing wrong with that I know a lot of people actually enjoy’s gong POV but, I’m more of a shou POV person so I prefer if reading from the shou’s perspective… a big reason why I skip gong POV novels even though they’re good and lots of reader gives it a good rating 😅
It’s gong POV. Personally, I like those better, but I say go read a little bit before you decide not to because it’s really good
Ah, I see 😂
Maybe gong POVs just aren’t for you then lol
Pheromone recognition disorder has a tsundere ML that’s a bit violent, at least that’s my impression but I have bad reading comprehension
lol, I think it’s better if I just stick to shou mc, but honestly, I know it’s a big treasure that I’m missing not reading gong POV, though if there is a fair share of the shou POV I would like to read the novel, maybe one day I’ll grow to be able to tolerate gong and switch switch mc POV novels, when I do I’ll definitely go back to find “Pheromone Recognition Disorder” the synopsis does interest me…
Lol I mean it’s just a novel to read for fun, so don’t worry about missing out and just read what you like reading
nahhh but the guilt hit me real good when I realize how many novels I’ve bookmarked and then all the notifications come in but since I didn’t keep up with them at the start there are like 156 chapters now xD I feel so guilty whenever I see them on my notifications but at the same time I’m too lazy to start reading since I’m binge-reading other novels that I promised to keep up with so I feel like a novel scumbag now 😢
Lmaoo I get the same thing. My novel updates app has like 20+ novels on my main reading with 100-500 chapters and I’m just like I don’t have enough time in a day to finish 😂 annnnnd then I end up waiting/adding more so it’s ever increasing 😂😂😂😭
xD But it’s not our fault, there are just so many interesting novels!!! (Literally, the reason I’m binge-reading right now is to stop myself from adding more to the list, also I still have 85 notifications to get through on chrysanthemumgarden 🤡) I’m currently binge-reading “The Days I Clear Escape Games Pretending To Be An NPC” hope that keeps me away from more novels 🤞🤣…
Lmao well there’s really no end, I’ve got about 8k+ on my reading lists on novel updates (sorted by genre) and I’ve only finished 80 that I kept track of😭
And then when I open chrysanthemum garden to read one of them, I end up finding at least 2 more novels to read in the recommended carousel 😂
omg- 8K??? Sheeeshhhh, you a true fan sis/bro 😭 I guessed it’s because I’m so picky and I only read Chinese novel but 8K is actually so crazy… I’m not judging I guess you’re just exposed to a lot of good novels (any good novel rec to me please, I’m not looking for anything specifically but I do hope for a strong/smart mc pls!!!) lol I only started reading bl genre 3 years ago (before I only read manhwas/manhuas) MDZS live action The Untamed was actually the one who brought me into the world of bl years ago, all hail MXTX 🙏🛐🙇♀️
I just have been camping on novel updates front page for a few years and saving every danmei that shows up (it’s the only genre that shows up on my page) and that combined with saving stuff from a bunch of other peoples reading lists just adds up over time 😂
lmao no wonder xD, you literally squat at novels update and pick up novels during the years it’s only reasonable that you have 8K 😂 😂 😂, I wonder if we’ll get another side couple in the story, I always knew Nie Chuan and Qixing would look good together! I also got the same instinct for General Mo and Andrew they sound like a good enemy(ish) to subordinates to lovers trope!!! We got AO (main cp), AB (Dog Nie and Qixing) so we should also get AA (General Mo and Andrew is an A right? He the captain of a team right?)
ikr, I shipped those two couples too, I’m glad that the ships sailed. I wish the novel went on for another hundred chapters lol
Wait really? I’ve seen quite a few that end up with kids, I think I might have some on my finished reading list (my nu user is .Lance ans same pfp if you wanna go look for them)
OMG yes thank you I’ll go look for it 🥹❤︎ I guess I can’t stumble across them because I specifically search up bl ABO with strong mc not ABO mpreg lol, but it’s sad how a lot of them don’t end up with children, like continue your lineage- but it’s okay if mc and ml really don’t want I’ll just direct my hatred toward the author-
Oh wait- I forgot to say I’m still kinda new to NU since I don’t use it that often (I only use it to find novels so I don’t know the rec list functions) so I might need some directions to get there 😅
and heres the series finder in case you don’t know how to get to it since the website is kinda confusing https://www.novelupdates.com/series-finder/?sf=1&gi=1692,560&mgi=or&rl=20&mrl=min&tgi=20139,14574&mtgi=and&sort=sreview&order=asc
well apparently my comment got flagged or something for a link idk if it’ll be approved or not but you can use the series finder to search for multiple tags instead of just one and that should solve the problem lol
would you believe me if I told you I didn’t know about the tags before and only used the ones with box beside it, e.g. fantasy ☐ yaoi ☐ shounen ai ☐ 💀 (I only discovered it recently 🥲)
Thanks for the chapter
