it has a happy ending! the reading experience is like an emotional roller coaster. the happy parts are profoundly sweet, and the sad parts just tears you up inside.
the reason i’m translating it is because i’m absolutely charmed by the protagonist, who’s trying his best to survive in a world that’s inherently cruel to him, despite his many shortcomings. i don’t think i’ve read many characters like him in danmei, if ever.
I’m actually crying my heart out right now not because of how pitiful the world is treating Fu Jia but because of how determined he is. He is so precious I just want to put him in my pocket and treat him like a treasure away from this harsh world. 😭
