on this work by accident and it has stolen my heart. I was at first skeptical,
because I’ve only read some BL-novels written by Chinese authors before. But
then… This novel was holding me tight from the beginning to last chapters.
I love your
world, I love your intriguing plot dynamics and all emotional stuff it awakes. I
love that this story is hot, but not ‘confined to bed’. I love that there’re strong
female characters, that is not a ‘saint, but dead mother’. I mean, Shen Pei and
granny Empress are awesome. I love that there’re plenty of relatives, and
characters’ childhood isn’t typically sad and oh-so tragic.
I loved omega
Li Changyu, he’s so wild, and free, full of energy and so smart. His character
is undeniably strong and nothing like ‘I only know how to be clumsy and to faint
into my alpha’s embrace’. In Arc 2 he shows his true potential, and I was in
awe watching him make decisions on this and that and many things in between. Such
a strategist gem shouldn’t be shackled by harem rules. He’s blooming in alpha’s
body.
And Jin
Xiyan is not that simple. I was frustrating during whole Arc 1, I was like ‘Changyu,
tell him to f. off! He’s not worth it!’, I couldn’t imagine what possibly could
redeem Xiyan’s attitude and I didn’t believe I could stop despising him for
that. Gee, I was wrong. Well, not entirely, Xiyan still needs to make amends, but
he earned my sympathy. He deserved a hug, yeah.
