As a present for all of you being so patient and kind, here is something that many of you have asked me about: music!
I have been asked repeatedly about what sort of music I listen to when I write, and I confess that I sort of make an OST in my head for my stories. Here is a link to the youtube compilation I made. Below is simply a cheat sheet of where I feel the songs fit the most, but please feel free to just listen. Notes are in the [ ] brackets. They are not listed by chapter/chronological order, and depending on when you read this, some things haven’t happened yet! 😉
A note on some translations for Chinese songs: some are official, or fan made. These videos are the ones that are the most convenient to find and the translations that I find particularly poetic. I encourage everyone to look for multiple sources for a song translation, because it is very hard to encompass the complexities of the beautiful lyrics. You may find multiples of the same song in the youtube list because I have pulled a few different translations.
A note on songs listed but not on the youtube list: I simply can’t find a youtube clip of the song! They may be available on Apple iTunes or elsewhere, please feel free to hunt around.
