Lu Qinyi and Fei Li stood on opposite sides of the war, destined to be enemies and nothing more. However, things get complicated after Fei Li is ambushed, sustaining a significant head injury that renders him temporarily amnesiac.
Lu Qinyi had only intended to hold the enemy general hostage to buy his army some time. But he got more than he bargained for when the mental state of the confused and injured Fei Li is far worse than predicted and he becomes the only one capable of treating him.
Fei Li however finds himself at the mercy of the enemy but he is surprisingly treated rather un-enemy-like. Despite this, he often felt it would have been better if they never met at all, remaining enemies who were perfect strangers.
This is lightly fantasy with a Ancient China inspired setting. I’m relatively new to the world of danmei, this is my first proper novel and I take creative liberties, so I can only imagine how painful some of the inaccuracies may be. If anything in particular bothers you, feel free to message me and I’ll do my best to adjust.
Warnings: Violence and blood, because that’s always the answer. Suicide and drugs, but that’s never the answer. The slowest of slow burn romances.

It’s a tragedy and ending really affected me…It wasn’t that kind of sadness which comes like a storm and you become really devastated but recover after a while…It came and spread slowly and painfully and stayed as a thorn in my heart, never going away…It’s plotline had some similarities with the setting of your novel that’s why I asked…Thank god it’s not going to be a BE…I’m really glad to hear that…Good Luck with your novel…
