Synopsis

Gui Yin, a talented editor of a webnovel agency, is transported into his client’s unfinished story.

Getting thrown into a world of cultivation, given three little potential protagonists to raise, and suddenly becoming one of Quanjing Continent’s most venerated lord immortals was enough to make any normal person lose their minds! However, to Gui Yin it was no big deal. His life in the 21st century had been way worse. Compared to long work hours, low pay, and a dingy apartment, as well as bickering parents and a sticky (already married) ex-boyfriend, he much preferred this! Say goodbye to a life of isolation and stress–he’s finally found a place he could fit in!

But, as Gui Yin spends more time in this world, he realizes a few things are off. For example, how come every little detail of Lord Ninglan’s life already felt so familiar? Why did these martial siblings of his seem more like family than his own birth parents? How come he already knew the habits of his little disciples? Of course, these questions could be easily answered. Perhaps Lord Immortal Ninglan had been Gui Yin’s past life! Maybe their memories just merged that well! Life was still good!

It wasn’t until Gui Yin met a mysterious man in his travels that everything came crashing down. Suddenly, he was faced with malicious plots, secrets buried in his own memories, and an odd ball of a man, who claimed to be able to “read the stars”.

Despite all this Gui Yin could still smile: “It’s fine. I’ll just take care of the idiots who are trying to disturb my peace.”

CW; abuse, manipulation, implied sexual abuse, implied child abuse, gore, body horror

  1. 🏕 Camping to protect Gui Yin peace.

He was transported into his client’s unfinished work and it might actually be his previous life. So, was he actually a fictional character that reincarnated into reality as a person? I’m thinking too deeply. But I am also excited for when more chapters drop and I’ll read this story.

  2. Are the trigger warnings between the main character and love interest? I really like tragedy but it’s always a bit of a guessing game with trigger warnings lmao. I’m glad I decided to break my rules and read Legend of Yu Lan though

    • no, the TWs are not between the MC and the love interest! there’s some playful mind games, but nothing that would harm or hurt the other party.

SPOILER most of the TWs are actually about the relationship between MC and his ex, but there’s few scenes of them and it’s mainly flashbacks END SPOILER

      • Great, then i’ll definitely start reading this soon 🙂 Btw you’re like the first authir that has responded to me asking about the trigger warnings😭 But anyway, it’s a bit late for me rn so i’ll start reading tomorrow :)💕

          • LMAOSDFJSALGH i’m sorry this part of the reply sent me– YAY I HOPE YOU ENJOY THE READ! there are also…per chapter TWs at the very beginning of triggering chapters, so you can probably skim through those chapters if it makes you uncomfy. (also remember i will never be upset if you drop the story bc of the TWs so read at your leisure LOL)

HOPE YOU HAVE A GOOD REST and a good tomorrow!

  3. I finished this story in 3-4 days, and it’s simply superb! Everything from the plot, the twists, the characters and development, it was just super well-written and beautiful.

  4. Small note to the author: in this story, you provide the Chinese characters for the different names. I just want to express how much I appreciate that. In so many stories, especially translated stories, there are nuances referring to the meaning of names. With just the Pinyin, and the same Pinyin word meaning so many drastically different things, it is really difficult to understand the intended meaning. A lot of subtle reference is lost as a result. Having the characters (and a bookmarked Chinese to English dictionary!) is a refreshing bonus. Not to mention that the story is quite interesting and well written in… the fourteen chapters I’ve read thus far.
    • AA thank you! i’m glad ;v; sometimes I’m not sure if it’s worth it but since i’ve come up with the names in chinese already, i figured i might as well put them LOL i’m glad you like the story so far :’D

  5. This was a great read and a rare gem. I really appreciated the authors ability to write characters with mature emotions and mature approaches to relationships and sex. Their emotional evolution was as interesting as the story. The ML & MC were adorable, their relationship and its development sweet. I may have wished for a steamy scene or two, but I really liked being able to read a mature novel without crying near non-con sex scenes where the ML has to practically rape the MC into compliance and neither seems to have ever been educated in sex.

The idea behind the transmigration was new and refreshing as well! So many interesting twists.
