Just because the ML had an anmesia, you’ll take advantage of the situation and not go through with the divorce application? He could have started it, explain to ML what has transpired over the years and draw the line — he could have said — you have amnesia and I’ll take care of you until you regain your memory then we’ll go on our separate way after that — see, it’s that easy. I’ll drop this one, it’d be best to go look for a spin-off (or similar novel) of this one where they actually divorced for good and never look back/got back together — that’s just how I want this story to end — well what to do, i’m a sucker for this kind of ending.🤣😝
    • I guess he’s really fickle-minded? He doesn’t stick to his decisions, and he has conflicting thoughts. He was so ready to obtain that application, even sparing effort to go to the office and talk with the staff, but in the end he was easily convinced by the lady and he decided that ‘he’ll think about it’. Really not a firm person.

      But maybe that’s what love did to him? He stayed in their marriage for 7 years despite the neglect, changed even though no one seemed to appreciate it, and remained loyal to Lu Tao. He was easily persuaded maybe because he still has expectations? Maybe because he loves Lu Tao so much that’s why even though he’s emotionally abused, he’s still willing to stay? Or maybe because he’s also guilty of his past deeds thats why he stayed? Or maybe because of his situation that’s why he didn’t go through with it? Lots of reasons to consider. It’s not that easy to cut off someone in your life just like that especially if it’s someone you love so much. Just like how in some abusive relationships, despite the pain both physically and emotionally, you’d still stay because deep inside, you’re expecting that maybe, something might change one day, or that maybe things will get better in the future. Feelings, relationships, etc. they’re all complicated stuff. It’s not something you can easily discard, forget and never look back.

      And with the amnesia happening, Lu Tao’s attitude towards him completely changed, which conflicted him even more. Because the change was something he’d been wanting for his whole life. Idk how to better explain Cheng Jin, because he’s really a contradictory character. But you would understand things better if you knew what he’d been through, the things he did, the past him, and the Cheng Jin now.

      As for the divorce, you would know if he did go through it or not if you stay. But ofc I won’t force you, since ig his character isn’t your cup of tea. I hope you find the novel you’re looking for. Thank you for taking your time reading this one!

45. I will tell you my own opinion and perspective in this story. So, I’m now in chapter 94 where the ml and mc talk to each other about their feelings and try to be together again and to tell you the truth, I don’t like it at all. There will be a spoiler here so I will warned you. In the last chapter it was told that it was not an amnesia but a two personalities. Not that kind of two personalities that you read where the ml has already have it since birth. The two personalities is only temporary because of the gerd or something i kind of forgot what it was called and it resulted for the ml to have that kind personality. I will not tell the rest. Anyway, the second personality is already gone and in this chapter and have many different kinds of opinion and feelings about it. Is it me or I don’t accept the original ml to be the ml. I like this story bit i don’t like the part here where the mc accept the og ml. I can say that because of the concept where the person who the mc have been in those past month is the second personality and not the true guy. The person who gives him the love, affection, care and respect he wants in that marriage is not the original guy. So the original guy comeback after 75+ chapter and you can think of common sense where 3/4 of the story, the ml is the second guy and you can say that since they are still the same, NO, they are not. After the og guy came he still treat the mc cold and not make him feel love. He is just jealous that it was not him but when the part where they did IT it was still the same treatment he did with the mc. And at this chapter 94! He accept him immediately!! And I was like NO! You should make him regret it! Even though the mc force him ge change but he still not accept him! Like what! The mc bear all the consequence and the problem he had in his family in those time. He completely change and the ml knows it but even though he knew he still didn’t change the things he did with the mc. And the mc easily like him again. You should think the sense where at the time where he already planned to divorce the guy he already accepted the fact that the guy doesn’t love or like or care for him, he already decided. But after the amnesia part and the mc change but later on tell that it is not that mc but the second personality who love, and care for him during those time! He is there and give him what he wants and make him happy! Not the original body! Not him! I know that the mc know it but he should atleast make the ml suffer a little because at this time and chapter, the ml doesn’t still show and emotions very much except for his anger and jealousy! Ghadd! I accepted the part that he will still be the end game but bro, give him a little loss, I don’t like the original body ml in this time because he doesn’t really have much screen time and 3/4 of the story the one who is the ml is the second body. Hayy 😫

But due to an accident gong lost his memory. After losing his memory he started treating shou as his actual lover. Shou wants to hide the original contract so that gong will not know about it but the contract was kept in a safe and shou did not know the password. But one day the gong opened the safe and found the contract and questioned the shoulder about his love for him.
