Blue crystal ore was not only valuable, but it was also rare because it came from a distant abandoned planet. Some explorers went in search of riches and returned with only a piece of blue crystal ore. One of them handed it over to the government. After appraisal, the crystal ore was of no use except for decorative purposes. The explorer found someone to make it into beads of the same size, totaling less than a thousand, and then sell them for a high price. PUCoXv

Miss Qi had a total of 148, but now, one had fallen off.

Cheng Jin and Andy panicked, turning over the spots where they had just encountered Lian Wu, eagerly lying down on the ground searching inch by inch, but they still couldn’t see the bead’s shadow.

“What do we do?” Andy was sweating profusely on his brow. “How can we compensate for the loss of such an important crystal?”

Cheng Jin was also worried; his face grew pale, and he said, “Let’s search for it again, maybe it’s scattered over the roadside.” He was ready to go when Andy grabbed his arm and exclaimed, “It’s impossible! We basically checked everywhere for it and didn’t find it, unless you misplaced it and brought it in on purpose to pretend it wasn’t you who lost it.” B1gbAR

Cheng Jin was taken aback and quickly clarified, “No, when I arrived, it was still there; I also checked again, and I have preserved it carefully along the way; it’s unthinkable that it’ll be lost halfway.” A startling possibility dawned to him. “Could it be Lian Wu? He just touched this outfit,” he speculated.

In comparison to the young master, who was not as astute, Andy had thought of this a long time before. “Perhaps it’s him, then you go to him and ask?” he suggested.

Cheng Jin was startled once more. “If it’s truly him, he did it on purpose, and even if I ask him, how can he return it?” he murmured gently after a long time.

“Go apologize and beg him, he might be willing to give it back! Besides, if it wasn’t you safeguarding the outfit yourself, he wouldn’t take this chance.” Andy clenched his teeth. “If we don’t get it back, Miss Qi, with her entitled personality, will throw a fit, and if it reaches my boss, we’ll both be troubled!”

“Lian Wu would absolutely not return it to me,” Cheng Jin replied solemnly. “As for Miss Qi… simply see her and explain. Won’t she understand?”

“Understand? ” Andy hissed, “Young Master Cheng, whatever temper you had previously is what Miss Qi has. Will you be understanding if someone misplaces your belongings based on your previous personality?” He was probably quite upset, his tone thick with an infernal grump. “I once heard that if your maids make a mistake, you will verbally insult them.”

“I…” Cheng Jin wanted to clarify that, while he used to lose his temper, he never verbally abused them; the words were on the tip of his tongue, but he couldn’t utter them.

According to the news, there were 891 beads, one of which was kept by the explorer himself, and a total of 890 beads were sold at auction.

In response to his brother’s protest, the older brother smiled compassionately, patted his head, and said, “I’m sorry, I arrived late, so I just bought these back. When we meet again later, I’ll bring it all back to you, okay?”

That box of beads was Cheng Jin’s treasure. Even when he was in dire straits, it was the last thing he took out to sell, because his father had to have a second operation, and he needed to have a lot of money. P1O0m

Andy didn’t understand. “What?”

Cheng Jin whispered, “I used to have a box of these beads.”

He understood now. Andy’s eyes glowed. “Where is it now? Has it been sold? Can you still find the buyer?”

“I have to ask…” Cheng Jin actually wasn’t sure. “I-I’ll ask first. If I can’t find it, I’ll go apologize to Lian Wu. I hope he can return the beads to me. If he doesn’t admit it, I will apologize to Miss Qi…” w NPQB

Andy was relieved to see that he was taking all the blame on himself, but he was also a little embarrassed, which he immediately concealed. “Go ahead,” he said. “You’d better be able to get one exactly like it,” he said, adding, “and if you don’t have enough money, you may ask me for a salary advance.”

“Okay.”

Cheng Jin was still hesitant to seek for the location where he had the last disagreement after leaving the back door. The route was secluded, with few people passing through and little to no debris on the road.

Even if the beads were small, they would be hard to overlook here. Despite the fact that Cheng Jin was previously aware of the outcome, he couldn’t help but be upset. He pursed his lips, dashed back to the car, opened the address book, located and phoned his brother’s phone number. tV vqm

No one responded.

Rather than attempt again, Cheng Jin started the car and headed toward the factory.

There were also a lot of factories on the Imperial Planet, but they were mostly clean, like food factories. All toxic industries have been relocated to the neighboring planet.

Those who worked at the factory were considered the ‘bottom-rung’ of the Imperial Planet, as were those who were cruising in the center of the expulsion line. Their pay was modest. To keep the credit line in their account balanced, they usually take the initiative to request an extension of working hours and strive to cut back on spending. NLcXRJ

In fact, Cheng Jin’s first thought after learning of the problem at home was to come here to work. He lacked both education and skills. He wouldn’t be eligible for high-paying employment, and he was aware that his older brother was also present, so he sought companionship.

But because his ‘Madam General’ status barred him from working there, he was forced to work illegally in the end.

Cheng Xu’s circumstance, on the other hand, was unique. He did, in fact, have a strong educational background. With his abilities, he could easily enter a huge corporation as an executive, but because he was a person deprived of rights and interests, an unseen “deportee,” there were numerous constraints on the job he could perform, and in the end, he could only come here.

Cheng Jin was so distressed when he came to visit his brother for the first time and found that he was no longer dressed in nice clothing, but in an ordinary and somewhat unsightly work uniform, that he sobbed his heart out. FrWP O

Cheng Xu tried his hardest and coaxed him for a long time, but in the end, he sobbed ’till he hiccuped and wept for two hours before eventually calming down. He then told his brother, “With your skills, you can absolutely create a career again on another planet; you don’t need to suffer here.”

When he heard his sentiments, his older brother quietly smiled, caressed his hair, and said, “What about Dad? He has to stay here for treatment right now.”

Cheng Jin clenched his fist and said, “I-I’ll look after Dad!”

Cheng Xu didn’t disclose his innocence; instead, he just stated, “You and Dad are here, so what’s the point of me going alone?” AU8uzZ

Cheng Jin wanted to cry once more. “But you’ve been working too hard here, your shifts are so long, and all you’re doing is operating the machines; it wouldn’t matter if someone else-”

“I don’t find it hard. ” His older brother smiled very softly. “The working hours are just right. I used to find time to exercise, but now I just exercise as I work. Xiao Jin, come and touch my arm, are my muscles much stronger?”

Cheng Jin quickly noticed his hand when he saw his brother’s outstretched arm. His older brother used to be a man of riches and prestige. He was in his late thirties, but he was well-groomed, and his palms were broad but not coarse. Now, calluses have grown on them, and there were even cracks.

Cheng Jin attempted everything he could to encourage his older brother to leave, but it was only later that he realized how naive he had been. His father’s surgical costs were enormous, and he couldn’t pay them, let alone the regular recuperating costs. He knew his gege was trustworthy, so he requested him to sell all his stuff he had later taken out, and he did not lose any more money. N l1mg

The box of blue crystal beads had been sold by his brother.

Cheng Jin drove up to the factory gate and phoned his brother’s communicator once again, but received no response. He had no choice but to walk to the guard. When he mentioned the person he was searching for, the guard said, “Cheng Xu? He’s gone.”

Chrysanthemum Garden.

“Gone?”

Cheng Jin was taken aback; he had not expected this outcome at all. “Why did he quit his job?” FWHxwP

“Maybe he finally got tired of it and is going to live on another planet. You know, it’s good not to stay here. You’re lower-class here, but middle-class on another planet. If it hadn’t been for my old man’s old age, he’d have a government pension after another year of work. I also don’t want to be here anymore,” said the guard.

Cheng Jin paid no attention to the long-winded chit-chatter from behind him. He turned around and went away. His sole notion was “impossible.” His brother would never leave the planet without uttering a single word. He must have obtained another job and gone to work somewhere else.

Could it be another factory?

There weren’t many factories developed nearby. Cheng Jin had completed asking around but had still not found his brother’s location. Other factories’ addresses were far away, and he couldn’t locate them for quite some time. Xy5Tgk

Cheng Jin had already begun to feel uneasy when the communicator on his wrist rang. Cheng Jin’s eyes brightened up as he saw the caller’s name, and he swiftly pressed to respond.

The communicator was linked to the light screen. Cheng Jin was on the edge of tears when he spotted his brother’s familiar face. “Ge, where have you been? Why can’t I find you?”

The only thing in Cheng Xu’s backdrop was a wall. His features were the same as before, although they were a little less angular and more elegant. “I changed jobs and I’m just at work, so the communicator needs to be switched off,” he explained. “What’s the matter, baobei?”

Cheng Jin breathed a sigh of relief and hurriedly asked, “Ge, do you remember the blue crystal beads I asked you to sell? To whom did you sell them?” YonUZ0

  1. I wonder why his brother left the factory and didn’t tell him? So mysterious! I’m guessing that when Cheng Jin cried over seeing his brother in a factory job was a big part of his change in attitude. I was so happy to see a new chapter for this!

  6. I didn’t mind Andy too much at first bit this chapter has name in disgust. Shouldn’t he be the one going after the bead from lw since it was a client in the shop under his care that roughed up someone else’s order? Ud think miss qi could put the nasty kid in his place otherwise. CJ is bein taken advantage of now that hes been trying to change. Almost makes u understand y its just easier to be bossy n mean. Bein kind means bein stepped on.
