Want to Try it Out?Ch57 - Intermission: High-School (2)

There is an old classroom that the school no longer uses. Some desks are missing pieces while dust covers the room. But, students loved to use the classroom for many things because teachers and administrators rarely checked the room.

Yao Zhihao decided to use it for his plan as he wrote a fake note to Shao Yuhan. The note stated that Ye Xun wanted to meet him in the old classroom. Chang Min, on the other hand, already felt guilty.

He told Ye Xun to meet him at the old classroom since the easiest way to get Ye Xun to go was using Chang Min. He was reluctant but still did it.

Anyway, Chang Min and Yao Zhihao hid in the classroom as Chang Min wore a mask due to the amount of dust in the room.

Shao Yuhan was the first to enter the room, walking towards one of the better-looking desks as he leaned against it. He held a confused expression as he looked towards the door.

A few seconds passed with Shao Yuhan waiting, and Chang Min and Yao Zhihao watching before the door opened, showing Ye Xun entering. Ye Xun looked slightly confused when he saw Shao Yuhan instead of Chang Min.

“Uh, did you want to talk to me about something?” Shao Yuhan asked.

Ye Xun stopped near him, raising his eyebrow, “I don’t. I told you everything I needed to when the meeting ended.”

Now, Shao Yuhan turned more confused before he pulled out the note he received earlier, showing it to Ye Xun, “Then why did it say you wanted to meet me here?”

Grabbing the note, Ye Xun read it before crumbling it. He had to commend the person on copying his handwriting perfectly, but why the hell would he need to meet with Shao Yuhan in this classroom?

If he needed to talk with Shao Yuhan, he could have done it in the student council room. But another thought started to pass through his head. How did this person convince Chang Min to agree to this?

Because he knew that Chang Min had to be involved since Chang Min did ask him to come here. He could not keep the anger from appearing in his eyes. Ye Xun is not upset with Chang Min, but with the person that made him do this.

Looking at Ye Xun’s expression, Shao Yuhan sighed, “It is fake, isn’t it?” He pinched the bridge of his nose, knowing who played this trick.

“What is the point of this? Ye Xun asked.

“Sorry for this. There is an idiot that believes his thoughts rather than asking for the truth. I don’t know what he was hoping for with this. But nothing is going to happen.” Shao Yuhan responded.

Yao Zhihao grew annoyed that his plan was failing, so he jumped out from his hiding spot, “Stop acting like you don’t want to get in Ye Xun’s pants.” He blurted those words out.

Ye Xun and Shao Yuhan faced him as Shao Yuhan’s face turned utterly red out of embarrassment and anger. “Stop saying that shit!” He yelled at Yao Zhihao.

“Is Chang Min in here?” Ye Xun asked, ignoring Yao Zhihao’s words. He did not have time for this childish game. Honestly, he wanted to grab Chang Min and talk with him about not falling into others’ schemes.

Hearing his name, Chang Min moved out of his hiding spot, covering a cough that wanted to come out. He looked ashamed as he glanced down, playing with his fingers.

“Come here.” Ye Xun demanded. Chang Min slowly walked over to them, stopping an inch from Ye Xun. Chang Min bit his lip, still looking down as he muttered, “Sorry.”

“Don’t say sorry,” Yao Zhihao spoke out once more, “this wouldn’t have happened if Shao Yuhan didn’t keep taking up Ye Xun’s time by trying to get in his pants.”

“Would you quit already? If you think shit like this is going to get me to date you, then you need to think again.” Shao Yuhan argued.

Grabbing Chang Min’s hand and pulling him close, Ye Xun finally decided to acknowledge the conversation, “Don’t add me into you two’s stupid arguments. And don’t pull Chang Min into it either. I don’t care what you two do; you can leave us both alone.” Ye Xun glared at Yao Zhihao before dropping it.

It is not like he will remember them once he finishes school. Ye Xun erases anything useless from his mind to make more room for Chang Min.

Chang Min leaned his head on Ye Xun’s shoulder, feeling stupid in all this. They are almost 18, acting like children. Why did he agree to this again?

Ye Xun was getting ready to walk out when Shao Yuhan grabbed his arm, screaming, “Wait!” His stomach dropped when he heard Ye Xun telling them to leave him alone. How could he achieve his goal if Ye Xun starts ignoring him due to Yao Zhihao’s dumb mistake?

But then he felt a hand grabbing his arm, pulling him towards them, causing his body to almost slide off the desk. “Look, he rejected you; why the hell are you still trying to cling to him?” Yao Zhihao commented, pulling Shao Yuhan back.

Shao Yuhan loosened his hand on Ye Xun as he almost slid off, but instead, his shirt caught on the small broken part of the desk. He used one hand to free himself, which was difficult since Yao Zhihao was still pulling his other arm.

“Would you let go!” Shao Yuhan shouted, pulling his arm from Yao Zhihao while simultaneously setting himself free from the desk. The action caused him to trip forward, almost landing into Ye Xun.

But Chang Min, not thinking straight, pulled Ye Xun back before Shao Yuhan could touch him. It was a mistake that he selfishly made. For some reason, he did not want Shao Yuhan touching Ye Xun anymore.

It took a second for him to regret his choice when Shao Yuhan fell to his knees, scraping his cheek on the other broken desk. Blood dripped to the floor as Shao Yuhan quickly covered his cheek in pain.

Chang Min gasped, putting a hand over his mask as he started apologizing, “I-I’m sorry. I’m so-sorry.”

Yao Zhihao quickly came over, dropping to his knees as he pulled Shao Yuhan close. “Let me see your cheek; I need to know how deep the wound is or if pieces of wood are in it.”

Shao Yuhan did not want to move his hand away, even as blood slipped through the cracks of his fingers.

Tears started slipping down Chang Min’s cheeks as he kept apologizing. He did not mean for Shao Yuhan to get hurt. Ye Xun held onto Chang Min, covering his eyes as he glanced at Yao Zhihao, who pulled Shao Yuhan’s hand down to see how nasty the wound was. “Do you have this?” He asked.

Yao Zhihao nodded.

“I will get the nurse.” Ye Xun walked out with Chang Min. The main reason he wanted to leave was that Chang Min looked close to breaking down.

He pulled Chang Min near the wall, giving him a better embrace as he ran his hand through Chang Min’s hair. “Calm down, okay. It is not your fault.”

“Y-Yes, it i-i-is. I sh-shoul-shouldn’t have mov-moved you.” Chang Min cried, almost finding it hard to breathe.

Ye Xun grabbed Chang Min’s chin, pulling it up as he looked him in his eyes. “Listen to me; it is okay. What happened is not your fault. We are going to the nurse to get help, okay.”

Chang Min nodded his head, leaning his head on Ye Xun’s shoulder as he still cried. His guilt would not leave him.

After the accident, Ye Xun made good on his ignoring while Chang Min stayed away from anyone that wasn’t Ye Xun. Shao Yuhan felt stuck and angry that his chances of achieving his goal slipped through his fingers because of Yao Zhihao. And Yao Zhihao used the opportunity to keep a tighter hold on Shao Yuhan, pulling him towards him more and more.

  1. What a reminder of the stupid things that seem like a good idea during the most awkward, insecure age. Everything feels so important and there’s not much you can do about it.
