Chang Min tucked a few of his fallen hair strands behind his ear. He looked out the window, sighing as he thought about what he and Yao Zhihao talked about. Well, Yao Zhihao did all the talking while Chang Min stood there.
He did not want to go through with the plan Yao Zhihao set out, but every time he brought up Ye Xun, he would unconsciously end up agreeing. At this point, Yao Zhihao was manipulating him into participating, and he did not stop it.

After another sigh, he felt a hand running through his hair. He turned towards the source, only to see Ye Xun staring back at him. “You know, if you didn’t want to eat lunch together, I could have gone to the student council room.” Ye Xun mentioned.
He was lying; he still would have joined Chang Min for lunch no matter what. Chang Min felt his stomach dropping at those words as he thought about Shao Yuhan and Ye Xun having lunch together instead.
“Ah, sorry, I will pay attention this time.” Chang Min responded.
“I was playing.” Ye Xun teased, his hand still not moving from Chang Min’s hair. Stuff like this always gave him the excuse to touch Chang Min without his feelings getting out.
Chang Min pouted with a glare, “I changed my mind. I am going to act like I am eating lunch by myself.” He grabbed his fork, stabbing it in his food with more force than usual.
Ye Xun took his hand from Chang Min’s hair, covering his mouth as he laughed. Although, he did terribly because his shoulders and muffled chuckles still gave him away. Chang Min felt his eye twitch before he kicked Ye Xun’s leg under his desk.
Feeling the kick, Ye Xun tried to calm his laughter, which he continued to fail at, “You are so cute.”

The few students that stayed behind in the classroom for lunch loved the choice they made. These were the times they would see the cold Ye Xun smile and play around. They recorded the scene in their minds because trying to get a picture would cause a terrible consequence.
The last person that tried to take a picture of Ye Xun disappeared out of nowhere. So, the students learned not to risk Ye Xun’s anger.
“You better.” Chang Min muttered. As a peace offering, Ye Xun gave more meat to Chang Min. Chang Min took the peace offering and quickly ate them.
As they returned to a calm atmosphere, Shao Yuhan entered the classroom, stopping by Ye Xun. “Ye Xun,” He called, causing Ye Xun and Chang Min to look up.
Chang Min frowned.
Shao Yuhan continued, “The vice president needs your help with planning the school festival.”
Now the frown on Chang Min’s face grew deeper as he realized that Ye Xun wouldn’t be spending the rest of his lunch with him. He did not understand the selfish feeling dwelling inside him.
Ye Xun looked at Chang Min, questioning if he should stay or go. But Chang Min, stupidly, gave Ye Xun a slight nod.
Sighing, Ye Xun packed away his remaining lunch, putting it back in his bag before standing up. “Let’s go.” He pats Chang Min’s head before walking away with Shao Yuhan.
Chang Min touched the spot Ye Xun last touched as he watched him walk away with Shao Yuhan. They are standing too close. Chang Min complained to himself. God, he wondered where this selfish feeling kept popping up from.
His frown remained on his face as he went back to eating, checking the clock to see there were still fifteen minutes left of lunch.
As he ate, the seat that Ye Xun originally sat in suddenly became occupied. He stiffened, thinking that a random student sat next to him until he saw Yao Zhihao. His stiffness did not relax, but he internally sighed. It was becoming difficult to get rid of Yao Zhihao.
Yao Zhihao smiled at him, resting his head on the palm of his hand. “Shao Yuhan always finds a way to be with Ye Xun. It is annoying, isn’t it?”
Chang Min did not answer, slowly finishing his food instead. Deep down, he did find it annoying. But he couldn’t have Ye Xun to himself all the time; isn’t that incredibly selfish?
Not minding the muted response, Yao Zhihao continued, “So, did you think about my plan? I guarantee it will get us both what we want.”
“But, humiliating someone is not good.” Chang Min finally responded.
Yao Zhihao sighed, “It is not humiliation. It will only be a rejection. Who wants to stay around someone that rejected them?”
“Rejection is still embarrassing. And does Shao Yuhan even like Ye Xun in that way? Maybe he just wants to be friends.” Chang Min muttered. Silently, he was happy that he was not stuttering like usual; but, he was getting used to talking with Yao Zhihao (since the teen kept bothering him).
“Following someone around like a puppy and doing everything that person does, does not sound like just wanting to be friends. Do you want Shao Yuhan to take him away, Chang Min? Isn’t Ye Xun your only friend? Do you want to be alone?” Yao Zhihao argued.
Chang Min didn’t mind being alone—if that person, leaving him, didn’t include Ye Xun. Ye Xun, besides his parents, brought him out of a dark place and always left light in his life. Ye Xun is the main reason he even chose to go to school and step outside.
“T-There is not-nothing wrong with being al-alone.” Chang Min stuttered. He was starting to get tempted with agreeing to go through with Yao Zhihao’s plan. He needed to ignore the temptation.
Darkness took over Yao Zhihao’s eyes as he responded in a deep voice, “If you knew what it was like to be alone, then you wouldn’t say that.”
Surprised by the dark mood, Chang Min almost commented when the tension disappeared like it never came.
Yao Zhihao had a smile covering his face once more, “Come on, Chang Min. Do you really want to spend the rest of the school year without Ye Xun?”
Chang Min bit his lip, looking at his near-finished food with a complicated expression. After a few seconds, he gave a defeated sigh. He silently nodded.
Smile growing wider, Yao Zhihao stood up, “I promise nothing will go wrong.” Then, he walked away.
