  1. At first, Gu Zuo thought that there was an error in Huang Ji’s gender perception, but now it seemed that a perception error was wrong in and of itself. However, the form of this error was completely different from what Gu Zuo had thought.

I don’t really get this 😅 in the end what error is he talking about?

Apart from that I must say the queer cultivation goth lad(y) sounds amazing 😍

    Thanks for the chapter!

    • I think what he’s saying is that her logic is flawed because she thinks that because she likes women she must be a man. It hasn’t occurred to her that same sex attraction exists and that she doesn’t have to be of the opposite gender to like someone.

      • I’m so sorry I don’t know spanish but I used google translate and I think I got it.

So Gu Zuo thought that Huang Ji was born the wrong gender but then he realized that HJ only identifies as a man bcs HJ likes girls.

Thank you for the explanation 😊

  2. First!

Also I wonder if Xiao Tianqi is going to be able to make a comeback or if he’s going to lose due to his previous injury

  3. AH. I don’t know who to believe!Gu Zuo who believes Huang Ji to be a cis lesbian woman living with internalized homophobiaOr Huang Ji who said they were a straight trans man

I just wish we could ask Huang Ji which pronouns they preferred!!!! ⊙﹏⊙∥

    • I think that for now Huang Ji would prefer he/him since it was said that he wants to be called brother (in doubt use they).

About the identity crisis- Seems to me like this world has no idea about homosexuality (but they seem accepting of it?). After someone explains that HJ doesn’t have to be a man to only like girls HJ can decide again.

For now I take HJ as a man since that’s what he wants to be seen as.

    • For what it’s worth, the narrator only refers to Huang Ji with female pronouns until this line:

” She thought that she was a man. He was firmly convinced that he was a man.”

After that the narrator switches over to male pronouns and female pronouns only show up in dialogue. So while GZ’s conjecture might be right, I think it’s safe to assume that Huang Jim’s preferred pronoun is male.

      • Ah, just realized that was an translation choice

        • I don’t think it’s simply translation choice but more likely to be true to the original. I’m pretty sure that the third person she/he is written differently (although they sound the same) in Chinese so there’s that. I haven’t seen the raws though.

  4. Oh my god she actually is a lesbian!!! Yay! This is awsome xD

Also…”Tianheng used one hand to caress his hair and the other hand to hold his waist”-bOI this whole scene!!! This whole freaking sceneee!!!!!!!!! Thank you for the chapter!💜

  5. I am so elated! Someone finally sensed his psychic powers n_n

And that hug ★w★ Thanks for the chapter♡

  6. I feel like from a narrative perspective, you should pick a gender to refer to HJ. The author uses the feminine “her” but in terms of being PC, I think male pronouns make more sense. I dunno; up to you.

    Translation notes:

At first, Gu Zuo thought that there was an error in Huang Ji’s gender perception, but now it seemed that a perception error was wrong in and of itself. However, the form of this error was completely different from what Gu Zuo had thought. –> Saw that some people were still being confused by this. I would suggest something like: At first GZ thought there was an error in HJ’s gender perception. But now it seemed like while there was an error, it was not the one he originally thought.

At first, Gu Zuo wanted to release his psychic power to obstruct the blasts of wind, but the reaction right after was wrong. –> wind, but then immediately realized he couldn’t do so. (in order to keep up pretenses)

Lady Huang Ji –> I think just “Huang Ji” should be fine. GZ doesn’t actually use an honorific, and HJ doesn’t self identify as a Lady anyway.

Merely, reading cheat codes and watching people were two different things. It was sedate when reading cheat codes. –> Merely, reading secret manuscripts and watching people were two different things. Reading manuscripts was a sedate matter.

  7. Uaaaaaaaaa dog food!!!!!!!! 🤤 Finally!!!! But!! Did Guo Zuo just compare his future gong to his dad?😧 …. 🤔 well it is said that girls search for a man similar to their father, so all is fine~😆

That girls worldview needs to be changed! She can love women as a woman herself!

And this fight is really interesting! 🤩

    Thanks for the chapter. ( ˶ˆ꒳ˆ˵ )

  8. gu zuo went eep and immediately thought of appeasing the offended party with top-grade medicinal pills lmao. i hope he can diagnose and treat xiao tianqi after this is over.

i hope we see more of huang ji later on. he deserves more screen time!!! author-sama, please!!!!

tianheng used the power of the sun to keep all that qi away from gu zuo… Soft gays

    thanks for the chapter!

  9. Oops Huang Ji detected Ah Zuo’s psychic power. (What pronouns should I use ;w;.. HJ prefers he/him is what I understood)

I hope Ah Zuo can see his father one last time… or return to the modern world together with GYTH.

Thank you very much for the chapter <3
