Translator’s synopsis:

The Uncanny Valley, like its name suggested, was a horror virtual reality game developed by N-Star Company.

Unfortunately, the core AI of this game, Saint Nun Theresa, has evolved and declared itself an intelligent, independent life form, trapping millions of players in the Uncanny Valley as hostages.

Death in the Uncanny Valley means death in the real world. To escape this catastrophe and return to reality, players must clear nine worlds with all kinds of horror settings while fighting for their life.

  1. Clarification on the trigger warning in Arc 1:

I am posting this because sometimes I have trouble deciding if this tw is worth me giving a story a try (aka within my tolerance) or something I should avoid. For those of you who are like me and can handle mentions or discussions of this tw as a heinous act but are extremely uncomfortable if Mc/ml characters partake of such actions, you are safe in the first act. If discussions of someone’s (tw) experiences is triggering to you, please skip the first arc.Spoiler:……Tw was something that happened in the past, but not to the Mc or ml. It is discussed several times, vaguely, but enough for you to get the gist of what went down. It is also ‘shown’ using fire in a fireplace like shadow puppets, but you can skip/skim that paragraph. (I did.)

  2. Well I’m definitely gonna read this but I gotta say, hostages work better when they’re alive. Sentient AIs of the future take note please.
