      • Seems like it. I wonder if they’ll reveal who’s behind this? Like I’ve read the MTL before (7-8 months ago) but I wasn’t really clear on who was behind it. And why they would do this too? I have a theory that it was herself that’s creating all of this. To prevent Older Brother from giving the child away to Jun Qing and Jing Shao and to get rid of the concubine’s child who was born at the same time as her fourth child. But if it was her, then I can’t even imagine why. Would you really go through such lengths and harm your own child in the process?

        • I think she might do it, maybe she’s losing her mind and becomes crazy, and probably bc of that Jing Cheng will get rid of her (bc she’s is insane and can’t take care of the title of Rui Wang Fei), and also, wtf with her?? She thinks that Jing Cheng really is gonna give away the baby and Jung Qing are impatient for take away, they (JS and JQ) don’t know about it.

          I don’t like her 🙄

    • Its clear that they are trying to take advantage of that Rui WF’s superstition and anxiety over her child to do something to JC. Let’s see. I don’t think he is the type to fall for it easily.

  2. Looks like Rui Wang Fei is about to get into a mess. I understand that science didn’t exist then and people were naturally more superstitious, but even a distraught mother should be able to see (or at least suspect) that the nun was actually leading her on. She’ll be lucky if the nun is only out for money, without having any deeper scheme in mind.

    • Hmm yeah you are right, i feel that they all are just con’s as if she was a real nun see wouldn’t ask for money and also the other nuns blushing while they saw jing chen. Like they are nuns they are away from all that love and blushie-blushie thing. The Rui wangfei is getting on my nerves.

  3. Poor Jing Shao, he tries his best but is not good with schemes and politics. I knew he would feel sad thinking that his big brother essentially needs Jun Qing, but not him. He should use his time of house confinement to study political books and take care of his wangfei’s stuff 😉

  8. The nuns…blushed? The nuns? I bet this is a scheme of some sort, probably to drive a wedge between the two princes. Rui Wangfei sure is generous to someone who can help her baby, but the fact that she didn’t even look at Mu Hanzhang’s attempt to help means she wins no points from me here, not even as a “desperate mother making a mistake,” because it’s patently false that she’d do “anything” for her child. Seriously, feeding a baby talisman paper, that’s… I mean, it’s a rebirth story, it’s not that the supernatural can’t exist, just that this seems very, very unlikely. Although it really would be interesting if they say it’s Jing Shao who has too much of heaven’s luck, because that’s not entirely wrong, and he might believe it himself if pressed. It’ll probably depend on how Rui Wangfei handles whatever news they decide to give her, but it seems like Jing Chen is already on guard so hopefully she won’t succeed at messing anything up irrevocably

    Gu Huaiqing is very shrewd and careful indeed; he would definitely need a way out in case the brothers have a falling out. I am also amazed that Jing Chen can manage to hold such power. He’s not a complete intellect and brawny person either – definitely a political player.

    Bad omen for Rui Wang Fei. I hope she doesn’t end up killing the other baby if its identified to be born with “too much luck” -maybe Jing Chan will send that baby away to his brother as an “heir”..
