  1. I feel bad for Jing Shao but I can’t if he take advantage of everything 😂 💖

    Thanks for the chapter ❤️

  2. Ho, mixing the truth and falsehoods, Jing Shao and Mu Hanzhang have successfully pulled the wool over the emperor’s eyes and even thrown suspicion on the fourth prince. Well done! ☺

Thank you for the chapter 💕

P.S. I think the way the emperor treats his son goes beyond a simple game of checks and balances. He does seem to be biased.

  3. Thanks for the chapter! I knew it! My first thought when I read house arrest was ” the silly guy will be happy for the excuse to slack off & spend time in bed with the wifey” 🤣🤣

  4. Thanks for the chapter, and here i was pitying Jing Shao for a sec, now I’m ligthing candles for Mu Hanzhang

  5. This chapter is too short! ^^

I am sad for Jing Shao who is always in the hot seat in front of the emperor… In previous chapters, the emperor said that he likes the straightforward personality of Jing Shao and has already tested him several times (when Jing Chen was attacked by assassins for example), but he seems to forget right after and doubt him again, while he never doubts Jing Yu. Such a biased father! (He even seems to prefer Jun Qing over his own biological son, poor Jing Shao!) At least, Jing Shao successfully escaped any attempt to charge him with collusion with the Huainan King by lying in the most effective way : mixing lie and truth together. They are an effective couple when it comes to schemes.OMG, Jing Shao is such a pervert! Every time he is under house arrest or can slack off, he can only think about how to get intimate with Jun Qing. He was drenched in cold sweat the second before, this naughty man 😂

Thank you for the translation! 😀

  6. If i didn’t know better I would think Jing Shao angered his father on purpose so he could be dismissed from court duties and just stay at home and laze about with his Wang Fei!

  7. I love this story!!! 😆 The tension and playfulness are just the right mix. The notion that we are loved & protected by our parent(s), even if that impression is true or not, is so important. Our MC is probably very loved by his father, but he doesn’t see/feel it. I hope that isn’t just my wishful thinking 🤔. Translator Dan-dan Mein, Editor Jules, Thanks for working on this story so we can enjoy it.

  8. look at you xiao shao, you are in punishment but aren’t you enjoying it too much even before u start the punishment XD

your skin really thick huh ?! Xixixi

  9. Ah, the glass from their prior “raid” comes back into the picture. MHZ will likely cement his ideas of international trade and that in itself can give some protection to Jing Shao at the present and strengthen the next Emperor’s rule!

Jing Shao must be looking forward to his house arrest… but MHZ will still need to report to work. Wonder how the house husband will throw his tantrum next

    😂

  10. Least the Emperor looks favourably on Mu Hanzhang 👍

Jing Shao, is indeed lucky to have Mu Hanzhang 😉

    Thanks for the chapter 💕

  11. Perverted Jing Shao! Always make am opportunity for getting it with My Hanzhang 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Thank you for the update ❤️

  12. Even with his rebirth, JS is not suited to deal with schemes, he can pre-emptive some of, but if is not for MH he would already be dead an buried!

    Thx for the chapter

    • That just give us better glimpse of how bad Jing Shao had messed up in past life. Like, even with capable Jing Chen trying hard to get him out of prison and I don’t know what Emperor do last life but this life at least it shows he didn’t seems to want ANY of his son to lost their life in the throne battle. So, all really speaks volume on Jing Shao inability to scheme and avoid scheme. Jun Qing is his lucky star.

  13. He only knew because a minister who had been visited by the Huainan King came to report to him.

I felt like this is all within Gu Huaiqing’s plan lol. Now, the Emperor feel suspicious on how Jing Yu got the intel while the minister obviously either Gu Huaiqing’s connection or Jing Chen’s. GHQ knows with Jun Qing, Jing Shao will be guaranteed saved. And the unexpected bonus from everyone is that Jing Shao is grounded! Usually that is a minus, but in the case of Jing Shao 😏😆.

  15. Well played! I love seeing how they handle these kinds of things, and also how much the emperor values Mu Hanzhang, excellent. Poor Jing Shao, I had been wondering if the way he’d been treated in his last life was going to come up… He’d made mistakes, yes, but none of them nearly so ill-intentioned as some of the others, and it’s always been obvious he’s not meant for politicking. Really, really not meant for politicking haha, it’s pretty cool to get a reborn character who realistically has the same skills as in his last life, that most of what he’s achieved comes from, as one might expect given the title, giving a lot more trust to his highly capable wangfei

Thank you so much for translating! <3

  16. Lol, he is under house arrest again. 🤣 Aiya, poor Imperial father doesn’t know that this child of his is actually happy to be under house arrest, not repentant.
