  18. It’s cute that Jing Shao thinks the Huainan king would have to be into Mu Hanzhang, because obviously Mu Hanzhang is the best and anyone would love him the more they see him. Darling haha. I can’t believe he had an excellent excuse to throw a chicken wing into his younger brother’s face and scare the hell out of him by getting him pounced on by a tiger, fantastic, so satisfying. For a second I thought they were going to introduce the Huainan King as Jing Chen’s concubine as a cover but then I remembered they only really do male first wives culturally… He probably can’t marry the Huainan King without making emperor first. In other news, love Jing Shao’s thoughtfulness with the jade cup, taking into account Mu Hanzhang’s little unconscious habits, they are so cute?? I love that I get to say this every chapter, that they start out literally married, get into a good relationship, and then the rest of the story is about their being good husbands and handling matters. I love them so dearly
