Due to recent events with an unnamed international BL site we have chosen to lock access to some of the novels hosted on Chrysanthemum Garden. This decision was made at the request of our translators to help protect their hard work.

The password for these novels is updated weekly, and you can grab it by visiting our discord.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and we appreciate your understanding and support. Thank you!

    • I got it. At first, I copied and pasted the password, it stuck. Tried typed it down, still on the same page. It wasn’t until I press the next chapter before it finally loaded the content. 😌

  30. for anyone confused, i’m guessing it’s bc of the jjwxc situation, they just announced an official eng site and fan translations are getting taken down bc their work might get ripped off by jjwxc translators and theres no clear punishment for doing so

    It’s simply my favorite platform to follow novels, but I never had the initiative to register, even on discord (I just don’t know how to deal with discord).
    With the current sad situation, I signed up and hope I don’t have any more problems. I’m sorry for the translators, it’s revolting to have to do something like that.     I’m sorry but discord died 2 years ago and I can’t use it anymore.

    So what is the plan for people who can’t use discord ?

    Maybe a newsletter every week with the password ? Or a chatbox ?

    I know it’s not an easy situation but please, please find a solution for people who can’t use discord !

    you ( CG ) have my full support on this one. since I don’t know how to use discord I’ll just wait for this issue to be solve or wait for another alternative solution for us to read it here at CG. 😢😭

    • First dowld discord then accept the invite then on the upper left side of discord page you will see CG flower select that then you will see #password then you will get that page copy the password past here but it selects last two lines so delet everything just leave yhe password after pasting

    • You have to read the guide then follow the instructions given at the end. After that you can type ‘password’ in the search bar and read the long post that appears about the rules, then follow the instructions given at the end of it, after that I searched again for ‘password’ and another post will now be visible with the actual password.

  53. I do not understand the sense in locking up chapters or novels. Can’t a novel thief just enter the password like anybody else and get to the content? I think those who steal are even more professional using the Net than most common users.

        prevention at home is to create as many obstacles as possible ———-Hmm/ Sounds unreasonable. Those who copy other people’s novels repeat the same operations many times, it’s not a problem for them to change a couple of moves. They have their accounts at discourse and fake email addresses ready and working, they use the devices suitable for entering such sites.While a common Net user – just look at the comments. Nobody remembers their passwords, people’s phones do not show Discourse properly (I agree, it works in its own mysterious ways, very unreliable).Looks more like fighting common readers. For example, I read a novel and them the translator forbage right-click. I think pirates do not care (esp is they use raw page, the code) but I stopped reading because I can’t copy Chinese expressions now and make notes).

        • The only foolproof way to prevent translations from being stolen is to not upload them at all 🙂 Though this situation is frustrating for readers, it is far from ideal for translators as well.

        • It’s not just about translations being copied but also the risk of the website forced to shut down by being accused of piracy even though fan translations should be protected as fan works, and who knows the password thing might actually work because there are several ebook piracy forums that are still up after a dozen years because they use a password/login system to access, and hide their search results from Google. As for the right click thing, you can usually easily bypass it if you use reading mode. Or in browser select View>page style> No style. Or else just install an add-on extension that allows it. It’s not very complicated.

  79. I’m having problems getting discord to work for me can there be an alternative method to get the password.

    I also don’t love the idea of having to sign up for another site that I would use solely to get passwords when needed for certain stories. That just feels like I’m wastefully handing over my data to website that I won’t be using really ever otherwise. I’m sure I’m not the only one who feels this way.

    Like I said I did try with discord, but have been having issues making an account. I understand why there is need to have password for some content I just feel there should a few ways to access the passwords rather than it only be gotten through discord.

      We can post the weekly password on our twitter account, but only for approved followers.

        We could use our NU accouns, we could use the site itself people who have an account since X time can have access to the password, we could use a list for emailing…

        A lot of people proposed differents solutions in the comms. Mine are probably not the best but you could use the others maybe ?

        In the end I would love to use a password since there is a need but to get that password please, please not on a social account. Pretty please…

  92. Hello. Help pls. I got a discord logged in and tried to look for the password there. It just keeps saying that I don’t have permission to view it. Like how am I supposed to grab it as you say. It doesn’t say or there isn’t anyone there that I can ask and this is already the 3rd time that this happened whenever there’s a novel that I’m getting into and then suprise, the next chapter is locked and doesn’t even say how I can access the password.

    I have a suggestion to avoid the theft of translations

    (Exiled Rebels Scanlations, Isohungry Translations, Infinite ,wattpad ) this site has in common a function that prevents the copying or printing of any page that and so they fight the theft of their translations. there would be no way to do the same here with sertesa would it be better than what you use to make the text meaningless so is it possible?

  99. Do I need to make a new discord account to access the CG discord server? I keep on getting a notification saying the invite is invalid and when I click on the “continue to discord option” I’m not able to verify my account since my email address is already in use. Am I doing something wrong?

  100. Really sucks that problems are occurring with stollen work. I love this site as much as the others, so I’m glad you have something worked out to keep it safe.

    Discord is mainly a way to chat with others and send out information, so it’s not too difficult to understand. Just have to be sure you have servers to go into to chat. The invite to discord might not be working because of being expired or that the invite needs a bit of fixing or that it has changed a little since it was linked here. The main thing after joining the server is to follow the steps to gain full access. Discord can seem confusing at first, but it gets less so once you poke around it.

    • Thank you. I use discord for academic purposes and I’ve never had an issue joining a group before so I was just curious to see if there was a difference between school vs non school groups. I’m also wondering the best way to get a new invite link.

      • It would depend on if the admins disabled it or not, but those in the server (if disabled only higher ups can do this) can make an invite to a channel by either using the invite option under the server info list drop down (should be slightly different on mobile) or by clicking the image of a person with a + sign on their head. There is also the option to change when the invite expires on the invite window.

    First make a Discord account (better to do this on a laptop rather than through the app, since most people read on their computers and not their phones).

    Then, copy paste this link into a new tab: https://discord.com/invite/Q2BxzM3

    After clicking accept, you should now be on the #welcome channel. To find the password, click #password-lock on the left side under the IMPORTANT STUFF topic.

    Check back every week to see the new password.

    Unless you want access to the entire server, you don’t need to do any of the extra stuff like reading the rules. If you do want access to the entire server, reply to this comment and I’ll add instructions for that. But these instructions should be sufficient for just getting the password. Happy reading 🙂

  140. I understand the need to do that but having to enter a password everytime I open a new chapter is getting very tedious. I guess it’s your goal though ? As a long time reader, it makes me want to switch to MTL, even if the translation quality is way worse, it doesn’t take twice as long to read a chapter.
