The Villain's Attack PlanCh50 - Favoritism

Ji FengChang aggressively sucked in a mouthful of milk tea and glared at the cup in Qin JiaShu’s hands: “I just knew he had no good intentions.”

Qin JiaShu: “What are you doing then?” 0Vj6Z

Ji FengChang: “Being stubborn like a dead duck.”

“……”

Story translated by Chrysanthemum Garden.

Although they were purchased at the same time, the difference between the two cups was a bit too much.

Qin JiaShu looked at the thing in his hand. He didn’t like sweets so normally he didn’t drink this kind of thing. Ji FengChang had only ordered a second one out of convenience. B0YzDC

Ji FengChang looked at him: “Do you think he gave you the wrong one?”

Qin JiaShu looked sideways.

“He hated you so much in the past, how could he add extra for you.”

Without a lot of expression on his face, Qin JiaShu spat out a few words from his thin lips: “When extremes meet, the reverse is bound to occur.”

lP4udq

This explanation was euphemistic. Ji FengChang didn’t understand it. Qin JiaShu didn’t plan to drink the milk tea and just carried it to the boxing club.

Ji FengChang had already booked a spot with the club owner.

The club owner saw Qin JiaShu and exchanged pleasant greetings: “It’s been a while since you’ve been here.”

Qin JiaShu: “En.” MoNHvL

The club owner looked at the thing in Qin JiaShu’s hands: “Did you not eat anything for breakfast? You brought a cup of congee?”

Qin JiaShu: ……

Ji FengChang: ……

It can be seen just how much Wen ZhiChu had added inside that cup. GC81Sg

To alleviate the awkwardness, Ji FengChang said: “I also haven’t been here for a long time. How come you didn’t ask me?”

Ji fengChang came to the boxing club purely for entertainment. He wasn’t very good at boxing but was top notch at bragging.

The club owner said with a tactful expression: “It’s true. Plenty of dust has landed because of your lack of presence here.”

Ji FengChang: …… f98Puk

After completing a day of work, Wen ZhiChu returned home. On the way home, he passed by the residential building he saw last time with the word “Demolish” written on it.

Story translated by Chrysanthemum Garden.

The red painted word on there was exceptionally eye-catching, which made Wen ZhiChu look over uncontrollably, an expression of fascination.

[System: How come this building hasn’t been demolished yet?] CMNX08

“Perhaps it’s not time yet.”

[System: Just leaving it here, doesn’t it just rile up the people who moved?]

Wen ZhiChu looked up at it with a strange expression on his face.

Thinking, if this ‘demonish’ word was written on the building of his home… that would indeed be pretty riveting. KZlyqG

Skycat Genie saw Wen ZhiChu’s subtle expression change.

The shopkeeper: “Come again next time.”

Wen ZhiChu nodded gratefully. Two days before the start of school, he can finally enjoy the days of summer break.

Looking at Wen ZhiChu, who had collapsed onto the bed like a pile of mud.

[System: Didn’t your summer break come a bit late?] Sasz3l

Wen ZhiChu: “Just in time to catch the tail. If possible, I wish everyday were summer break.”

[System: Why? Haven’t you been hoping to test into college this entire time? The earlier school starts, the earlier you start testing.]

Wen ZhiChu with a numb expression: “The scores for the final exams are waiting for me.”

“English 65.”

Last time, he got 69 on the quiz. This time, there was no improvement and he even went backwards 4 points. IY3W G

Looks like with the start of school and his advancement into year 3, he’ll have plenty of discussions with the English teacher.

Qin JiaShu was outside when he received the call. Picking up the phone and seeing that the caller was mama Qin, he hesitated for a moment before pressing the answer button.

“JiaShu.”

“What’s the matter?” 2kXDJ5

“Can you help mom pick up XiaoHe today? Your dad needed to leave the city last minute. I’m busy dealing with work and can’t walk away.” She said somewhat helplessly: “I promised XiaoHe before he left this morning that it won’t be the driver picking him up today.”

Qin JiaShu looked to one side, unmoving as he thought about something. However, he didn’t hesitate very long before saying: “Got it.”

Ji FengChang, curiously: “Who’s that?”

“My mom.” PldqDC

“Why did she call?”

“To ask me to help pick up Qin JiaHe.”

Ji FengChang was somewhat surprised: “That small piglet began school before us?”

Qin JiaShu didn’t reply anymore. The kindergarten that Qin JiaHe was enrolled in also had summer break; however, there were still teachers on campus so students could be dropped off there anytime. This just made it convenient for parents who were busy with work and had no time to take care of their children. IqdOfw

Even though Qin JiaHe’s parents were often not home due to busy work lives, he also had nannies and home tutors to take care of him. The only reason he wanted to go to kindergarten was because his big brother kept running outside everyday and there was no one for him to play with. Therefore, he had no choice but to put on his backpack and go to school studiously.

Ji FengChang knew that Qin JiaShu didn’t really like this little kid. Seeing the other’s expression, he said tentatively: “If you really don’t want to, I can go pick him up for you?”

Chrysanthemum Garden.

“No need.”

A little bit later, Qin JiaShu got up, called a taxi, and went to Qin JiaHe’s kindergarten. The sky today was somewhat cloudy. There were already plenty of parents waiting at the entrance. eoNsLj

Seeing the massive crowd, Qin JiaShu did not step forward, but took advantage of his own height to stand in the back and look out for when Qin JiaHe’s class was coming out.

After waiting for a while, he saw a procession walking over from afar like columns of little ants.

The kids in the front of the lines held up signs with the classes’ names. Qin JiaShu swiftly swept over a glance.. Not seeing Qin JiaHe’s figure, he did not step forward.

Very quickly, the group of parents left the entrance. A childish sob could be heard: “No…no one came to pick up XiaoHe.” Y1zNQU

The teacher bent down to comfort him. The little kid pursed his lips: “Little white cabbage~ No one……”

Hearing pieces of the song, Qin JiaShu’s brows twitched. Walking forward, he saw Qin JiaHe, who was providing himself with his own musical theme.

His chubby paw was also holding the Seed Class’s sign.

Qin JiaShu: …… 0J3Kbu

He had searched just now, but did not see the face behind the class sign.

Feeling someone coming over, Qin JiaHe turned his head and looked into his big brother’s blackened face. He instantly stopped singing his theme song as his big eyes lit up brightly.

“Gege!”

This voice was filled with a delighted surprise. He had never even imagined that Qin JiaShu would come to pick him up. Saying the name, he immediately ran past the entrance and threw himself outside at Qin JiaShu, not forgetting to introduce to the teacher at the same time: “This is my big brother!” u1P4yY

This place was crowded and concentrated with people. Qin JiaShu raised his hands and picked up Qin JiaHe. The teacher verified a few times before feeling assured. Before leaving, the teacher didn’t forget to instruct: “XiaoHe’s big brother, it’s been a change of seasons lately. The flu is spreading. There were plenty of little kids in the class with colds and fevers. XiaoHe had somewhat of a runny nose today so please take note when you return home.”

Qin JiaHe kicked his legs excitedly in his brother’s arms: “Okay. I understand.”

The teacher: …….

No, that wasn’t for you, that was for XiaoHe’s big brother. nujfA9

After picking up Qin JiaHe, Qin JiaShu flagged down a taxi and returned home with the little guy.

After getting in the car, Qin JiaHe sat obediently with the seatbelt on. However, his mouth talked nonstop like a chirping little chick.

Chrysanthemum Garden.

Three sentences not leaving the fact that his big brother picked him up today. It could be seen just how happy and excited he was.

Qin JiaShu turned and looked out the window. Not long afterwards, a drop of water smacked onto the window and rolled down slowly. Then the raindrops started to hit the car window one after another in quick succession, dense and hurried. DebsRN

Qin JiaShu frowned deeply. Even upon arriving home, the rain did not lessen. The taxi stopped at the entrance of the mansion.

The front door wasn’t too far. Qin JiaShu didn’t like bothering others. Listening to Qin JiaHe’s somewhat heavy breathing, he paid the money and carried Qin JiaHe out the car.

Hearing the door open, the servant hastily walked over and jumped in shock: “Big young master, how come you didn’t call us to bring an umbrella.”

Saying this, they hastily called someone to grab a towel. Qin JiaHe, who was standing to the side, however, didn’t get wet from the rain. RlQXec

It was raining heavily just now when they got out of the car. His brother stuffed him directly into his clothes. Only his backpack was exposed outside and got wet.

Qin JiaShu accepted the towel and wiped himself down briefly before heading upstairs. Before leaving, he transmitted the kindergarten teacher’s words to the nanny.

The wet clothes from the rain stuck to his body. Qin JiaShu removed the clothes and threw them into the dirty laundry basket before walking into the washroom.

Perhaps the kindergarten teacher was a prophet tonight. After having a nose drip for an entire day, Qin JiaHe started to burn with a fever that very night. 31Qomb

Papa Qin and Mama Qin weren’t home. The little kid felt terrible being sick and also lacked a sense of security, so he cried until even his face was wrinkled.

After the family doctor came, he gave Qin JiaHe a shot to the butt, wrote a prescription, and then instructed: “There has been great temperature fluctuations lately because of the season change. Kids require constant monitoring. If there are other issues, inform me promptly.”

The little guy cried all night, not wanting anyone. Qin JiaShu came over to take a glance and was caught by the little guy who refused to let him go.

Qin JiaShu removed the hand clenching his clothes, a somewhat unsightly expression on his face. LTJ1xS

Qin Jiahe: “Gege.”

With a darkened face, Qin JiaShu sat down next to the bed: “Go to sleep. I’m not leaving.”

Hearing this, the little guy finally felt assured.

There were still two days before the start of YiZhong High School. During these two days, Papa Qin and Mama Qin were busy with work, only to rush home at night on the last day. Qin JiaShu stayed with Qin JiaHe for two days. Seeing Papa Qin and Mama Qin returning, he headed back to his room. jYLgmA

As soon as they heard that Qin JiaHe might have gotten the flu, the couple felt extremely distressed. The little guy was born robust and healthy since little, just like his big brother. After being born until now, other than getting a stomachache from eating bad food, he’s never had any major illnesses.

Papa Qin looked at him with a hard to conceal regret: “How did he get sick all of the sudden?”

Story translated by Chrysanthemum Garden.

Mama Qin: “The season has been changing recently. The kindergarten teacher also called and told me plenty of students in the class were sick.”

Hearing this, Papa Qin sighed again. OkAqhG

The start of YiZhong arrived on schedule. Wen ZhiChu struggled to get out of bed. When he washed up, he was still somewhat spiritless.

Regardless of wind and rain, the English teacher was waiting for him at YiZhong.

[System: Young man, look on the bright side.]

Wen ZhiChu: What if I can’t look on the bright side?” msF3I1

[System: That’s too bad. Everything is predetermined by fate, independent of man.]

Wen ZhiChu had no choice but to head to school carrying his backpack, huffing and puffing. However, as soon as he reached the classroom, he was informed that the English teacher’s younger sister just gave birth so she had requested 2 days of absence.

Wen ZhiChu instantly brightened in enlightenment: “Skycat Genie, you should speak more since you know how to say the right words.”

Skycat Genie: ? AmyW N

“I’m looking on the bright side now.” Wen ZhiChu: “Everything is predetermined by fate, independent of man.”

Skycat Genie: ……

You’re hopeless.

At this time, the Qin family’s mood was completely opposite of Wen ZhiChu’s. dYaXwd

After Mama Qin got up, she went to examine Qin JiaHe’s condition. When she was changing the little guy’s clothes with the nanny, they both discovered an issue.

“Aunty Chen, did you give XiaoHe too much to wear lately? I see a rash all over his body.”

The nanny who came over with the clothes, jumped in fright and said in a shocked tone: “Madam, the little young master has chickenpox.”

  1. Omfgh poor Qin Jiashu. Stay in nanny… Pls consider he’s a young man still not out his high school!!! @parents

Also I have a feeling he’d get sick too, it’s just his parents never even noticed

  2. After reading the whole chapter, I suddenly saw the chapter title at the bottom and it made me so sad. The chapter never mentioned it, just subtle details (both positIve and negative favoritism), so seeing it written so blatantly after gaining the content bright everything together was really impactful

  3. Qin JiaHe has his own little theme song! 😭 I also love Skycat Genie and Wen ZhiChu’s interactions, what a duo! 🤣 🤣

  4. Hot take but two extreme workaholics shouldn’t have kids.

If you can’t prioritise your kid, don’t have one.

Their son was sick for 2 days before they even found out about it. When it said how he’s never sick (much like his big brother) I can’t help but think “no big brother has been sick. You just were too busy to notice”.

Like why bring another life to this world just to leave it to nannies to raise? Did you want the child because you love children and think you can be responsible for it, or was it because it’s what has been expected for married couples,

I’m sorry but parents like these piss me off because at least put some effort into it! You’re shaping young minds and causing lifelong trauma or issues all because you wanted the perfect image, ignoring the fact that someone else had to pay the price for it.

    • From the first few chapters I think the eldest son is the one not part if their plan yet because they’re starting out with their careers and the youngest one came because they missed out on the eldest but still failed miserably as responsible parents. Every time I read their POVs about how they missed out on QJS’s upbringing really make me sad and 🤬. I feel sorry for both sons. Although they extremely dote on the youngest but I think they just want to fulfill their egos showing that they can be good parents too.

  5. Adults really shouldn’t have children if they don’t have enough time to be actual parents to them especially in there developmental years!

I’m just imagining little Qin JiaShu being ill and no one coming home to give HIM a sense of security! My poor bby!!!!!

    • Yeah, poor guy probably never had his parents care for him when he was sick. It makes me annoyed, how they always favor the little kid, even though the mother is perfectly aware how bad of a mother she was to ML. She does nothing to make it up to him. Not that the little kid has it good either, I mean the fact that she had to go out of her way to promise him that this time it won’t be the hired help picking him up, says plenty about their parenting. Not to mention, how he was bedridden for two days and they didn’t even know. Parents of the year, these two.

  6. What’s going to happen next? Will Qin Jiashu also catch chicken pox and his parents will blow him off because “he’s a big boy and can handle it”? Or will Mama Qin tell Qin Jiashu to avoid his brother so he doesn’t catch it too and Qin Jiashu tells her that people can’t catch chickpox twice thus implying he’s already caugh it and Mama Qin feels guilty she never knew about that? Or will it be some third terrible thing that shows the Qin parents are awful parents that should’ve never had kids?

  7. The focal point of who was favorite slipped and slid through this chapter and ended up at the parents being less than they should be—again… Thanks for the update ❤️

  8. i dunno about chickenpox so i looked it up

according to cdc.gov, it’s highly contagious and spreads through close contact. a person with chickenpox is contagious for 1-2 days before rash onset until all lesions have scabs or, if vaccinated, until no new lesions appear for 24 hours. it takes about 2 weeks after exposure to develop chickenpox

so qin jiashu will get sick in two weeks if the author so chooses.

  9. I have a bad feeling (;ŏ﹏ŏ)

Thank You for the new chapter (๑˙❥˙๑)
