It probably looked like Xing Yan’s knife because that was the knife he was stabbed with in his first chamber and when Luo Jian first received his weapon he saw it as “taking out” Xing Yan’s knife rather than getting his own unique weapon.
The chunnibyou in me wants it to be a scythe, but I’m guessing it will be something that relates to his outer friendliness but inner coldblooded nature. It’s probably the red umbrella.
