“Well, I still owe you a honeymoon.” Huo Zhixing squeezed Tong Qiu’s hand and mischievously smirked, “Tong-laoshi, would you like to make an appointment with me?”
Tong Qiu looked at him in disgust: “Does Officer Huo even have a holiday?”
Huo Zhixing, whose sore spot was poked, dramatically covered his chest with his free hand: “That hurt.”
He leaned closer to Tong Qiu’s ear: “It’s not impossible to spend your honeymoon in bed.”

The rest of the way home was spent talking and laughing. A security guard greeted them when they arrived at Tong Qiu’s building, a flash of envy visible on his eyes when he saw Huo Zhixing’s uniform.
“Police uniforms look more domineering than security uniforms…” The little security guard lamented.
Upon further observation, he saw the two of them holding hands.
“Oh, Tong-laoshi…”
Tong Qiu proudly introduced the person beside him: “My ex-husband.”
The policeman ex-husband escorted Tong-laoshi up to his apartment, leaving the little security guard downstairs in confusion: ex-husband? It didn’t seem like it! Who would hold hands with their ex-husband?

If it was sent by courier, then there would have been all kinds of stamps marked on the shipping label, but there was none on the first two packages. It was both very clean.

“Don’t joke around.” Huo Zhixing raised his arm and looked at the time. “You wait for me at home. Don’t come out. If someone knocks, don’t open the door. Wait for me to arrive.”
Tong Qiu laughed. “Okay, you should pay attention on your way. I’m fine.”

If it wasn’t obvious I’m reading the story along as I’m translating it, which I just realized now was a big mistake because after every chapter there are lots of terms I wanna change but can’t now because I’ve already published it huhuhu.
