Once they reached the restaurant, Ye Xun parked the car. They stepped out, closing the doors behind them as Ye Xun locked the car doors.
Chang Min looked around, noticing that there were no cars (the workers are parked in the back) in the parking lot. He wondered if they came too early or too late, and before he could ask, Ye Xun wrapped his arm around his waist, pulling him close.
“Don’t worry about the empty parking lot or where we are; this is a surprise for you.” Ye Xun spoke, reading his mind like usual.
When Ye Xun pulled him close, Chang Min rested his hand on Ye Xun’s chest, putting space between them as he felt that they shouldn’t be too close. He knew if they were, they might not make it into the restaurant.
Hearing Ye Xun answer the question in his mind, Chang Min replied with, “Then, shouldn’t you blindfold me?”
The question was an innocent one, but Ye Xun loves to switch those words around. Anything that deals with teasing Chang Min, Ye Xun is ready to do.
A smirk grew on his face as Chang Min’s expression quickly changed to dread as he repeated the words he spoke in his mind. He knew what was to come, and before he could cover Ye Xun’s mouth, the man’s lips were faster.
“Blindfold? Not until we reach the bedroom, Chang Min.”
Chang Min let out a long sigh, even though his ears did turn red. He dropped his head on Ye Xun’s chest, covering up the twitching of his lips. “I swear, Ye Xun, I will steal the car keys and leave you here.”
Ye Xun laughed, dropping a short, soft kiss on the top of Chang Min’s head. “You set yourself up for it, and you know it.”
Chang Min picked up his head, looking Ye Xun in the eye, “And you set yourself up for being dateless.” As he met Ye Xun’s gaze, he could not help his eyes dropping to the man’s lips for a split second before looking back up.
Ye Xun smiled as Chang Min could see it reflecting in his (Ye Xun’s) eyes. Then, picking up his free hand, Ye Xun tenderly touched Chang Min’s cheek, “Would you really leave me here by myself?”
Chang Min slowly smiled, looking coy as he pecked Ye Xun’s lips before moving back and putting more space between them. His pulling back caused Ye Xun’s arm to slip from his waist.
“I might.” Chang Min responded, glancing away while ignoring his desire to prolong the kiss, “Anyway, I remember someone promising me a date, and we’ve been standing out here too long.”
Ye Xun stared at Chang Min with darkened eyes as he licked his lips, wanting to trace the soft feeling that Chang Min left him.
He wanted to forget about the date and take Chang Min home instead. But, he needed to pace and control himself.
“You’re right,” Ye Xun grabbed Chang Min’s hand, entwining their fingers, “we should go in. Close your eyes, and I will lead you inside. Don’t open them until I tell you.”

“It is fine.” Chang Min replied.
They continued again as Ye Xun opened the door, holding it to give Chang Min the space to enter. Once Chang Min was in, he closed the door, walking towards the host standing near the front with two menus in hand.
“Welcome, Mr. Ye. If you could follow me, we already have your table set up.” The host greeted them before he started walking towards their table.
The restaurant held a dim look, even though the small light hanging near and above the tables gave some brightness to it.
The place had a brown and white color theme, as most tables had nothing on them except chairs set on top. The host took them to the only setup table that rested in the middle of the restaurant.
A rose centerpiece laid in the middle of the table as two long candles were on either side of them. The surrounding lights held a dullness, only allowing the lit candles to bring brightness.
Two plates laid on the table with folded napkins on them as utensils rested on the side of them. And lastly, there were two wine glasses near the plates while a bottle sat near the centerpiece.
Once they were close, the host waited on the side while Ye Xun brought Chang Min to his seat. He let his hand go, pulling the chair out before pulling Chang Min down on it.
He pushed the chair in before taking his seat. The host set the menus down in front of them, “The server will be with you shortly.” Then, the man walked off.
Chang Min kept his eyes closed, resting his hands on his lap when he felt Ye Xun sitting him down and pushing in his seat. “You can open your eyes.” He heard Ye Xun telling him.
Instantly opening his eyes, Chang Min looked around, thinking how beautiful and expensive the restaurant looked. He felt a bit self-conscious, wondering if clothes fit the place. But, he pushed it down, focusing more on being with Ye Xun.
He turned back towards the table, looking at the setup, blushing a bit at how romantic it was. Even the quiet area and lighting set the mood.
“Do you like it?” Ye Xun asked, waiting for Chang Min’s reaction to the place.
Chang Min shyly smiled, “I do.”
Before Ye Xun could say anything, the server came over. “Hello, would you gentlemen like me to open the wine bottle and pour it, or would you like something else to drink?”
“You can pour the wine.”
“Uh, c-can I get some water?”
Ye Xun and Chang Min simultaneously responded.
The server nodded as she grabbed the bottle. Then, she pulled out a corkscrew, using it to open the bottle. Once she opened it, the server poured the wine into both glasses.
The server only poured it halfway before setting the bottle down, leaving it on the table. “I will be back with your water.” She directed towards Chang Min, walking off.
Ye Xun grabbed his wine glass, taking a sip from it before setting it down. Chang Min watched, wondering if he should have some too.
He did not have a problem with alcohol; it is just that he is not much of a drinker.
Ye Xun caught Chang Min staring and already knew what he was thinking, “If you don’t want to drink the wine, it is okay; you don’t have to force yourself. Why don’t you open the menu?”
Chang Min relaxed at the thought and was getting ready to respond when the server came back with water for him. She set it down before asking, “Do you two still need time to decide on what to eat?”
“Yes.” Ye Xun responded.
“Okay, I will return shortly.” The server walked off once again.
Once she was gone, Chang Min finally spoke, “With the way the place looks, I am worried about what I will see with the prices.”
“There are no prices on the menu.” Ye Xun responded, grabbing his menu and opening it as he scanned through the food options.
“That is more worrisome.” Chang Min commented, finally opening his menu and glancing at the food presented there.
“Don’t worry about it. Pick whatever you want; I already paid for everything.” Ye Xun continued.
Chang Min could feel a slight headache coming on as he rubbed his temple. “I appreciate everything, but for the next date, let’s do something simple.”
Ye Xun raised his eyebrow as a smirk appeared on his face, “So, there will be another one?”
Blushing, Chang Min wanted to throw the menu at him, “Shut up.”
They were two hours into the date, finished eating, and only stayed seated at the table to talk with each other.
As their laughter started to calm down and Chang Min had some alcohol in his system (he drank some wine after all), he felt comfortable asking a question that was on his mind.
“How did you find this place?” Chang Min asked, setting his glass down as he decided he finished drinking.
The cheerful mood cleared up as Ye Xun leaned his head on his hand resting on the table. He looked at his empty glass, tilting it. “My father and I used to come here a lot. I haven’t stepped foot here for a long time.”
Then he looked up at Chang Min, holding eye contact, “And I wanted to bring the person who means so much to me to a place that holds a special spot in my heart.”
Chang Min felt warm as his face softened. He grabbed Ye Xun’s hand, leaning forward as he brought it to his lips. He tenderly kissed his hand before glancing into Ye Xun’s eyes.
“Thank you for sharing this with me. Next date, I want to take you to a place me and my parents used to go to because you are important to me too.”
Ye Xun entwined their fingers, wanting to lean over the table to kiss Chang Min.
Even now, he still cannot help falling for him more and more. “I would like that.”
