  5. First time I tried MTL historical genre and it was a mess. Consort Xiao got new name, Luzhou, Pinjiang never seen and the part about current Marchioness Dingnan is second wife is translated weirdly lol. I only try MTL-ed this chapter and gave up 😂. Thanks for the update.

      • Yeah… I had MTL-ed a couple books before (romcom) like “How to say I Love You”. That one was relatively easy, except for names but not bad as they translated the name literally as the meaning is. Not helping that ML and MC had the name that is Crown and Tree translated lol. Historical? Never again 😂. I bet xianxia and wuxia are much bigger mess. All hail to every translator out there! <3

Right now it looks like Jing Shao and Mu Hanzhang are going to have a reason to go to war together again, they were already headed to about the same place. I guess there’s also the possibility that the eldest prince wants to use this opportunity to set Jing Shao and Mu Hanzhang up as traitors

    • Huhu, I don’t think the author was aiming for that. Rui Wang is not gay, sadly. ToT

      But we can silently ship their enemies to lovers vibes writing fanfiction about them. 🙂 they look down for BDSM if given the chance tbh. Or something like a business partners to secret lovers ship. How abt modern AU where ‘my brother’s internet friend is my type of hottie’? A fic where Rui Wang questions his preferences and weighs his responsibilities.

        • There was a spoiler in a chapter that said empress gu (basically jing chen became emperor and the empress was called empress gu hehe) soo lets wait and see cause i do feel like something is going on between rui wang and gu huaiqing especially the part where both the main couple and these two met

    • I expect this to backfire horribly! If he was the one to suggest JQ go to Luzhou. Perhaps first prince already expected this outcome but wanted JQ to be there! Maybe he was also the one responsible for JC’s assassination attempt earlier in the novel and wanted to pull out something similar. If JQ went, was caught in the middle of the war, with no JS to look out for him then an assassination would be easy. Now he must be lamenting how forth prince couldn’t last for long! Of he wanted this outcome of Chen Want and his Wang Fei to go together then he would have said something (and that would give him points for showing he’s filial) but no! He was dead silent at the last part and now might be regretting badly hurrying it all up!
