I don’t actually know the whole situation and maybe Valentine’s Day wouldn’t have been the best time to break up anyway, but I genuinely wish you the best—whether that comes with doing the work to make a relationship last or taking a break. Love is never an obligation, and you deserve to be happy )

      If you feel bleh about being in the relationship then it isn’t working for you right now. I am going to assume that you were talked out of the breakup because you have some misgivings.

      So perhaps you should work with your romantic partner in order to see what each of you enjoy in the relationship and reestablish boundaries about what makes you feel very bleh and see if you like the new arrangement. If you don’t want to improve it by identifying the problem and changing it then you might not be motivated to be with that person.
