  11. Jing Shao literally never apologized for that. Wtf. That was rape. He does this stuff and that spoils like the mood of the novel, cause they’re supposed to be a loving couple. Jing Shao got off wayyy too easily

    • Technically it wasn’t since although it was painful, MHZ did consent. And again although he told JS to be gentler, he didn’t tell him to stop.

      Not that I’m saying it was a good thing to do, just that it wasn’t r*pe. It’s not a light word after all. It’s a serious thing.

  19. I think the author tried to tell us that JS is so crazy in love, that it almost drove him mad and made him do what he did.

    I don’t like it, but I do get the point.

    The thing that keep us from becoming maniac, is to stop in time, which is what JS did.

    Luckily JS stopped in time… otherwise I wouldn’t have forgiven him (and then I had to stop reading one of my fav novels 🙃 )

  23. Jealousy is a double edged sword and JS has stab himself. Believing someone else was in his lovers heart caused him to doubt his place and blind his actions. I’m glad that JS’s doubt was relatively short lived and they were able to clear up this misunderstanding. It would also have been helpful if MH had confessed his love for JS a while ago as well.   27. Yeah, Jing Shao is so bad, so very bad this chapter!! I guess the saying everyone had their own pair is true. Man, such childish grown up, only Jun Qing can tolerate and love him; for both lifetimes. Others will dump, betray or run away from this man sooner or later. Well, as long as Jun Qing’s heart is full and happy, I will continue begrudgingly tolerate this man-child too.

He may think Mu Hanzhang let it go but I am certain he’s in fact already cottoned on to something being afoot here and will now gather evidence, as he does. JS JS your sweetheart is too smart for something like this!

  29. So pleased that Mu Hanzhang threw Jing Shao out! The parallel to the opening of the story where Mu Hanzhang could only put up with Jing Shao’s bullshit no matter what is a pretty good construction, especially given the time period they’re in—at the beginning Mu Hanzhang had a typical “wife” status and therefore no real right to complain (as far as society is concerned, which is why he put up with it), while now he can throw Jing Shao out of the actual main bedroom entirely and make decisions about what he will or will not forgive on his own. Although I’m looking forward to maybe a more candid discussion of the rebirth thing, from Mu Hanzhang’s POV he’s been in one continuous relationship from that first night and it’s kind of good to be able to bring it up as unacceptable behavior now, the kind that Mu Hanzhang himself gets to determine the appropriate response to instead of just Jing Shao unilaterally helping him with the aftermath. Jing Shao is the kind of character who fucks up first and figures it out later, and Mu Hanzhang fell in love with him anyway. I think it’s kind of reassuring to him that Jing Shao is genuinely that simple and straightforward in the way he shows his love, it’s stupid and aggressive and therefore safe to believe in, unlike so many other relationships he’s had in his life that were bound up in propriety first and foremost instead. Anyway, totally wasn’t expecting the scene from the novel summary to finally show up in such a literal manner haha, the only way for Mu Hanzhang to throw Jing Shao out with his pillow would be for him to fuck up that bad. What an idiot, but at least he figured it out faster than ten years later this time

  32. And here I was waiting for MC to ask ML if he was “drunk” again this time.

    (Remember, after being reborn on their wedding night, ML made the excuse of having been “drunk”, which is why he injured MC during intercourse back then)

    In my opinion, no matter if they love each other or not, for MC to not seriously educate his husband who was way too rough to him, (I want to say it was rape, but that’s not entirely correct, since MC initially allowed him to do it, only when he was too rough, did MC shout to stop, which was ignored by the “mad beast” who only snapped out of it after ML came…) is not the correct way to handle this situation.

    In comparision it’s like you have a dog, you’re playing happily with your fluffball but said fluffball suddenly starts biting for real. Then afterwards you’re giving it a snack as reward (here, MC confessing to ML)… Who in their right mind would do something this stupid?!

    Especially since ML didn’t apologize from the beginning to the end. Instead he did him again, was then thrown out of the bedroom (scene from the summary) for a few minutes before being let in again… And no, ML feeding MC breakfast the next morning is NOT an apology.

    To be honest, although I quite like ML, but through the whole novel he’s been way too horny. He doesn’t really seem to care about what MC wants, he’s just overwhelming him each time…. sighs
