I guess my reaction to this chapter is out of line with the majority… My immediate thought was and remains; they don’t seem to have discussed permission with clear minds before ‘permanence’ happened. The one obviously wouldn’t be in a mental state to give sober and reflected permission, during the process, given the described effects of estrus. Rather disappointing portrayal. ‘The heat of the moment’ with permanent consequences, regardless of whether it’s supposed to be romantic.
IMHO the discussion happened behind the scenes. Chapter 89 gives us a glimpse into this. LC and XY agree to date with the intention of getting permanent marks at some point.
