Transmigrating into a Cannon Fodder Fulfilled All My WishesCh10 - This Plant is Actually a Puppy in Disguise, Change My Mind

Meng Yixuan arrived at a section of the hill that could only be described as a rainforest. The humidity of the air had somehow increased in crazy amounts and he now felt like he was inside of a sauna. And not the good kind.

His clothes seemed to only lightly be influenced by the steam and only snugly clung to his body. Almost like the garments themselves were sentient. At this point, he wouldn’t even be surprised if that were so. KlF2az

The sounds of fighting were much louder now, and more concentrated. He walked in the direction the sound was coming from and arrived at a clearing of sorts.

Bodies littered the area, and Meng Yixuan couldn’t tell whether most of them were just bodies or not.

However, the faint sounds of breathing and the slight fluctuation of qi in the air (meaning that the bodies were able to cultivate) was a perfect indication to him that the whole dead-or-alive thing was none of his business.

And he couldn’t care less about these rogues in noir. Clearly, they were all mean demonic cultivators who ganged up on someone and it looked like a bloody battle had– was still taking place. 2QLIMW

And the poor cultivator in the opposition had all his sympathy. As such, he walked speedily towards the trees nearest to the confrontation to get a closer look.

There were two cultivators, both dressed in black and red, although one of them had fancier looking robes.

They were fighting with huge weapons that seemed dangerous themselves. A long and thick, and probably heavy, claymore with a dark metal blade, and with his OP cultivator vision, he could vaguely see that something was engraved into it.

The other had a polearm, long and thin and extremely sharp at the edge. Meng Yixuan could also see a repulsive foamy purple gas around the tip of the head. It took him only a moment to realise that the purple gas was actually a lethal poison.

Before rushing into a fight he’d most definitely just end up being a hindrance in, he weighed up the facts he knew.

The claymore wielder was clad in robes of the same colour, sure, but his clothes were clearly crafted with better detail, and the design was made more for practicality as compared to the showy robes worn by the other humans in the surroundings.

So they’d all unheroically ganged up on this poor unknowing fellow, and he was clearly powerful seeing as he seemed to have battled the rest of them off just fine.

He concluded that the silver haired cultivator seemed to be the lesser of the evils before him, and decided to help him out. wzd8Cm

He wondered how, though. This cultivator was very obviously much stronger than himself, and the signs of fatigue were only lightly showing on him.

The demonic cultivator continued to exchange injuries without stopping, moving so fast that they had fought thousands of battles.

Meng Yixuan acted quickly, not even thinking before he rushed out, sword unsheathed, eyes squeezed shut and thrusting it blindly.

The demonic cultivator realised what this person was trying to do and instantly changed the direction of his attack to the newcomer.

Unfortunately for him, Meng Yixuan’s golden finger quickly came into play, successfully tripping him over in the air. He forgot to stay alert and almost- died for it, if not for his cheat code. He went clattering to the floor before the other, sword and all, and his landing was definitely less than graceful.

However, his fall had caused a domino effect that quickly wiped out the villain instead. His sword flicked a pine cone that was on the floors into the air, hitting a wooden lever that wasn’t there before. Z8RM3p

The cultivator who’d planned to take the silver-haired human’s life had a massive net dropped onto them. They attempted to cut their way out with their polearm but that failed, and when they tried to use their qi to brute-force their way out, the net got tighter, making them infinitely more uncomfortable.

Meng Yixuan was content at the debacle he had (accidentally) caused and quickly approached the white haired cultivator that seemed to only be standing via their sheer will power.

Just as he arrived, the person he saved began to sway and then collapsed onto him, clearly unable to hold onto themself any longer. Meng Yixuan caught them in his arms briskly, and struggled for a few minutes to hoist them onto his sword.

The sun had set now and the moon was steadily rising. The loud calls of the demonic beasts spread through the area, leaving him feeling slightly anxious. gBb8fZ

There was absolutely no way he could fly back to the little village quickly enough, and the human in his hands needed their wounds addressed as soon as possible.

Also, he just didn’t think he’d fare well against beasts that had probably cultivated for centuries and he wasn’t about to test if his golden finger would keep him safe.

Him attempting to fly for the first time in his own peak was funny; him carrying another person and trying to get them sneakily past hundreds– if not thousands– of powerful demonic beasts was a death wish.

With that in mind, he took them to the little cave he was just in. It seemed to be uninhabited, and would probably protect from any stray demonic beasts too. The Qingxin blossoms would definitely not have grown so beautifully, and in such abundance, if they had anything trying to eat them. hepq1T

Upon arrival, he slowly lowered his sword as close as possible to the grounds before getting off of it, picking up the extra body he carried to bring them off carefully too.

After setting them down carefully away from the bundle of Qingxin blossoms, he took off their robes, leaving them only in undergarments in order to address the profusely bleeding wounds this person had collected like they were stamps. He pondered how to dress their wounds, like he’d been planning to earlier.

He had nothing other than the little saplings in his earring and the water, and he had a suspicion that the spring water had magical attributes but he was certain it could only do so much alone.

As he sat in his sad wondering, he felt something curl into his side, softly wrapping around him. It nuzzled his thigh lightly and seemed to stare up at him. He looked down at the– would you have guessed it– largest Qingxin blossom he’d noticed when he was here earlier. WiQpV1

The little plant seemed to know what was causing his morose feeling instantly and reached out one of its long leaves– that it had turned into a vine– to pat the body of the cultivator he’d brought.

Then it retracted its vine and dropped a little seed into his hand. “For me?” The plant’s leaves rustled and its flower opened and closed, showing its agreement.

“Thank you!” He then followed his instinct and made the demonic cultivator swallow the seed, using his spring water to help wash it down.

Almost instantaneously, their wounds healed, even the deep gash in their stomach that was bleeding like a waterfall just moments before. 2ejAPS

Meng Yixuan could feel the little plant gazing intently at him, even without any eyes, like a little dog waiting for a compliment to congratulate its efforts.

He reached his hands out and petted the little thing softly with his fingers, afraid to cause it any harm, and the plant seemed to shake in happiness from under his fingertips.

The adorable little thing stayed by his side as he took water out of his earring and used it to clean up the person before him, more gently around the newly formed scabs that were quickly peeling, to avoid harming them.

After finally taking care of them, he stalked up to the bundle of Qingxin blossoms and poured some spring water into the soil around them, as a sign of his gratitude. 9PZnXc

The plants all seemed to have their cultivation on a x100 button and grew quickly, only stopping when they, too, had somehow gained some sentience, like the first one.

The soil around them, however, suffered the brunt of that attack and looked almost as if it had dried out eons ago, even seeming to crack momentarily. This only lasted a minute and water, probably from deeper in the cave, returned the soil to its natural state.

Story translated by Chrysanthemum Garden.

Meng Yixuan returned to where he sat before to observe the person for any signs of discomfort. Since he’d taken the responsibility of this cultivator, he’d fulfill his role with utmost dedication!

The cultivator’s black robes, that had been torn in the battle, had now returned to their natural shape, as if nothing had happened. The only indication that anything was wrong at all was the large scar beginning to form on his stomach, ‘tainting’ the porcelain skin. GHqSVl

Personally, he thought that having such a scar, shaped like a shaky thunderbolt, looked really cool, and nothing could change his mind!

After the wounds healed, the silver-haired human’s shaky uneven heavy breaths gradually relaxed, and he seemed to be in a slumber as compared to having fainted due to the pain and blood loss.

Since he now knew the person would be okay, he let himself observe them. From their long, silver eyelashes to the red mark that decorated their forehead, to their limbs of perfect length and shape.

All in all, this silver haired demonic cultivator was absolutely stunning, like a breeze on a stiflingly hot summer day. wxISAs

Meng Yixuan wasn’t stupid (in fact, he considered himself rather smart!) so he recognised that this immortal beauty before him was the Cursed Sunset Sect’s Sect Master.

The same one Ling Jie said she was looking for earlier, and his torturous 1v100 battle earlier must’ve been under the deliberate planning of an external character that forced the two to split before attacking the sect master.

And he was kinda angry. Ever-so-slightly pissed. This sect master, his favourite character in the novel besides his cannon fodder namesake, the one he’d sworn to protect as soon as he realised where he was, had been ganged up on and almost poisoned to death.

And he recognised the incident, the novel had skimmed over it, and it pissed him off to know that the insinuator of this incident was even the sect master’s right hand man. What scum! DPIXRC

Meng Yixuan’s glaring into nothingness was the first thing the silver haired cultivator– Cursed Sunset’s Sect Master– saw when he woke up.

  2. Is there a word for Disney Princess with plants? Also, Yixuan, sweetie, when you know that someone’s title is Cursed Sunset Sect’s Sect Master maybe you should take a few precautions around him rather than going “oh poor dear he needs help I’ll kidnap him and take him to my secluded garden”.

    Even if he is hot.
