The Black Saint is My StalkerCh150 - Devoid of souls

Edited by dreamandwonder

At the center of Ironworks, the DASR research facility stood. On the outside, one could say it wasn’t so impressive; just a block of concrete featured at the center of a small, nondescript town. It was perfectly inconspicuous…aside from maybe the reinforced walls, the guarded gates, electric fencing, and layers upon layers of wards. 508Buy

Jayden Lee Jones had every intention to storm his way past every barrier possible and infiltrate the facility by force. He was only surprised when the task was a lot easier than he anticipated.

Perhaps that had something to do with the utter chaos that unfolded within the facility.

Even the ground quaked. Guards, armed with blessed swords and automatic rifles engaged in battle. Windows shattered, doors threw open. A slew of supernaturals attempted to escape, using a flurry of magic, claws, and teeth. A towering wave of water rushed out of a shattered window. A mermaid unleashed her claws but she was ruthlessly gunned down in a moment. But just as she slumped, another beast followed suit. The battle continued.

Jayden had no idea what was going on, but he used the chaos to his advantage, slipping inside the research facility through a busted door. He was dressed dark, blending in with shadows. But his attire honestly mattered little with the current state of things. HzC9cv

The interior of the facility was even worse, he could hear the echoes of battle reverberate through the walls, causing lights to shake and flicker.

Jayden flexed his fingers. Three of the silver rings around his fingers unclipped, transforming into mechanical wasps. They flew out to survey the hallway ahead of him.

Through the audio feedback, he could hear frantic screaming. Based on the echo, there should be an open area up ahead. Jayden approached slowly, keeping an ear on the sounds collected by his wasps.

“D-Don’t come any closer…!” The wasp must have been close if he could hear the words so clearly.

Up ahead, he caught sight of a double door, left just slightly ajar. The window was dirtied with splatters of blood Jayden approached cautiously. An ear-piercing death cry could be heard on the other side and when he peered into the gap, a giant claw came down and tore into a person; a man that donned a lab coat. Violent wet sounds of flesh being torn squelched alongside death howls.

Jayden ignored the scene of violent murder and looked around. It appeared to be some sort of cafeteria and he caught sight of a trio of frightened scientists that were trying to find a way out of the carnage.

Jayden drew in a breath, adrenaline roaring in his veins. The scientists didn’t stand a chance against the beast. Using their frantic death cries as cover, Jayden quickly crossed the ruined cafeteria, finding another hallway on the other side.

He continued.

He needed to find Luca.

He needed to find Magnolia— SPiOm6

Thick wafts of miasma saturated the air.

Iszak could make an educated guess about what was going on, but why bother when there was someone else willing to willingly give him the information.

The fairy looked at him with wide, frightened eyes, veering her gaze toward the now open door. “W-We should get out of here first,” she said, taking a step to leave. But before she could reach the door, a red mist obstructed her way. She yelped in fright, eyes wide. I7zPdb

Iszak did enjoy the thundering sound of her heartbeat. His laughter rang within the room, coming from no particular direction. “No rush, little doll. Come and sit with me for a moment, won’t you?” A pale hand formed out from the crimson mist, reaching over to close the door.

The fairy truly believed that her life was forfeit right then and there.

Much to her shock, the noble blood wanted exactly what he said he did; to talk.

Despite the chaos that ensued outside, Iszak was incredibly calm, seeming completely unaffected by the torture he had suffered at the DASR’s hands. In fact, he was sitting on the metal table where he had been bound and subdued, absently picking at his nails. X8c5d9

The fairy did not have much to say, her circumstances were about what Iszak expected; she met an incubus with dark hair and blue eyes and then was subsequently kidnapped by the DASR. He too, suffered the same fate, albeit it was a trap he walked into himself.

“Never mind that,” Iszak hummed, disinterested in the fairy herself. “What is going outside?”

The fairy tensed up, her body trembling from memories only a few moments old. “T-There was a demon…”

“Oh?” Iszak perked up, looking over to where the little fairy stood, arms crossed in the corner of the room. “A demon, you don’t say?” The words came out a little sarcastic. Of course, there was a demon. The stench of miasma was absolutely stifling. 2TULpA

But it seemed that the fairy didn’t notice. She nodded and continued, “T-that’s right. He’s been…tearing the entire place apart…! But if you don’t attack… I think he will leave you alone.”

“Is that so?” Iszak replied carelessly, keeping an ear out for the commotion outside. If there really was a demon destroying the place then he really did not need to intervene. And though he loved the idea of a rematch against that desire prince, Iszak was not exactly in the best of condition.

Speaking of which, he was quite certain that little spirit wolf was also trapped here in the facility. Iszak made the impromptu decision that he would go find that little pup first.

The fairy was completely oblivious to Iszak’s wandering thoughts. “It’s a wrath prince… I would stay away from him if I were you—“ aJTEtm

A wrath prince? The incubus that Iszak fought was a desire prince. A different demon then?

Finally, the noble blood rose from his seat. He rolled his shoulders as though waking from a pleasant nap, lazy and unconcerned. “You don’t need to tell me that, my darling,” Iszak laughed. Even at full strength, Iszak would need a lot of reason and motivation to take on a wrath prince 0f all things. “I suppose we ought to get going, hm? Alright, little fairy, I do wish you the best of luck, try not to die out there.”

That was the only kindness he had to offer her before strolling out the door.

“Wait!” the girl called, scurrying after him, perhaps in hopes to stick around with a higher being that meant her no harm. But by the time she rushed out of the room, the noble blood was already nowhere to be seen. ckRTQt

Iszak, of course, had no loyalties to a random little fairy. He cared not for anyone in this entire building, not even the wolf spirit that he randomly decided to find. Aside from those that he kept close to his heart, Iszak did most things on a whim. How else was he meant to enjoy the long dregs of the passing centuries?

His nose and hearing were pinpoint sharp but Iszak had a sense even more powerful. He found a quiet corner, just behind a closed door where gunfire could be heard amid the vengeful cries of anger and pain. He had no interest in the devolving fight and instead drew in a deep breath. A vertical slit appeared upon his brow, revealing a ruby third eye.

And though he was considered young among noble bloods, his red eye could still pick out the slight trace of life essence tangled amid the knots of fate.

A wolf spirit had a particularly strong aura and was easy to pick out from the tangled strings of fate. Once Iszak found what he was looking for, he smiled and went about his way. vXuH47

Starting with opening the door and quickly sidestepping to above the body that was ruthlessly tossed in his direction. It fell over with a wet thud and Iszak looked down, he noticed that it was a supernatural being, a cockatrice to be precise.

Before he even had a chance to look up, three automatic rifles were pointed his way. Gunfire raged but they did not strike true. Instead, Iszak’s solid form dispersed into a bloody mist. It swirled and rushed toward the trio of suit-wearing guards blasting bullets his way.

One moment, the guards were standing, the next, they fell to the ground, face first, their bodies pierced by an array of long, ruby arrows. Iszak smirked and flicked his wrist. The arrows transformed into liquid blood, before snaking back into a red circle on Iszak’s palm.

Not only the arrows, but Iszak drew all the blood from the corpse as well. With his blood ability, he could draw out his opponent’s blood without even having to stick his fangs into their filthy bodies. T94iqz

Except the smug smirk on lips soon turned sour. For these guards, though human, had no nutrients in them at all! They were devoid of souls and did not sate Iszak’s thirst. Sighing with disappointment, the noble blood went on his way.

That little wolf spirit should be close…

  1. AAAAAHHHHH

I seriously wonder what made them feel so confident that they could control Princes….

  2. Ahaha a little break in the middle of carnage ! Thanks for the breather (and the update) !

Can’t wait to read what you planned !

  3. With all the chaos, I want to see the face of the idiot who thought he/she would be able to control a demon prince of wrath (albeit half-blood) and a high born pureblooded vampire.

But I gather that this situation occurred because the UGLY incubus went for a walk, otherwise he might have been able to supress Han Li.

What have learnt today? Soulless creatures are tasteless.

    Thank you for the chapter!!!

    • U__U they really thought they had everything under control. Or maybe even if things went out of control it could be covered up? wahh we’ll see I guess…

LOLL yes don’t eat soulless creatures, they are bad for your tummy

  4. Iszak epitomes his Noble blood: the sarcasm, nonchalant attitude in middle of battle and acting on his whims. Let’s not forget his debachery. ❤️
