The Black Saint is My StalkerCh151 - Misled by a mindless beast

Edited by dreamandwonder

The door was open, left slightly ajar. WPefVK

The hall outside was left a mess, Iszak had to step over two bodies just to reach his destination. He pushed the heavy door open to reveal a room that was similar to all the others; plain, with but the barest of necessities. A hard bed, a toilet, and that were about it.

However, the occupant had not been freed, like all the other mongrels that roamed the halls, thirsting for blood and violence. There, huddled in the corner was a tiny little ball of white. It trembled terribly and when Iszak approached, the little white thing shuffled and moved. Two blue eyes peered out from shaggy white hair. Upon closer inspection, Iszak saw that the child was shackled with a thick metal collar. Even worse, a heavy chain ensured that the boy could not leave the confines of his prison.

Ah, throughout all his life, centuries worth of living, Iszak could not understand this manner of cruelty. What was even the point of torturing a child so young? Either put it out of its misery or raise the kid for yourself.

Iszak soothed his expression into a practiced smile. He knelt on one knee, getting down to the child’s level. But it was only belatedly that he realized that he hadn’t put away his third eye. onLDda

Woops. But alas, there was no going back down. Keeping his voice soft, the noble blood stretched out a hand. “Hello, child. Do you remember me?”

“…” The young wolf stared at the being that knelt before him. There were three eyes, and his ghastly complexion was marred with blood splatters. Any normal child would surely have cried from the sight.

The little wolf, Luca, was about to cry too. He sniffled, eyes growing damp. But they were not tears of fear and sadness. Instead, he launched himself toward the vampire. The chain around his neck pulled taunt, but it gave him just enough distance to wrap his small arms around Iszak’s neck.

“There now,” the noble blood hummed, “Uncle Iszak will get you out of here.” He had no idea when and why he designated himself as this child’s uncle but he supposed it had a nice ring to it. So he wrapped his palm around the chain. His blood hummed with power and seeped through his pores, eating away at the metal that helped Luca captive.

Iszak gritted his teeth, drawing upon his power as quickly as he could.

There was a shift in the air.

The alarm still hummed and battle was heard in distant parts of the building, but that wasn’t what caught Iszak’s attention.

After all, there weren’t many things in the world that could raise a noble blood’s hackles. And yet, there Iszak was, risking his strength to rescue a werewolf pup while thick wafts of miasma festered around him. xaXbRW

Snap! Finally, the chain came loose. Iszak rose to his feet and drew in a deep breath. Now saddled with a child, he couldn’t so easily enter his blood phasing mode and make his escape.

But the truth was, Iszak wasn’t really sure how he felt about his odds. Refusing to show any weakness, he turned around. SlCM8e

Sure enough, there was a giant mass of miasma that stood in the entrance, completely blocking off their escape.

Three eyes stared at him, two red, one black. The fairy hadn’t lied, it really was a demon prince.

The demon prince did not move from its spot in the entranceway, utterly still. The miasma that the prince donned was so thick that it obstructed features from Iszak’s view. From what little of the silhouette that he could see, Iszak was only able to tell that the prince wore a male form. Never had Iszak seen such a dense physical manifestation of miasma before.

“Hm,” the vampire hummed, shifting his arm protectively over the child that he held. “Do you mind…moving aside? Frankly, I have places to be and I have no desire to spar, Your Highness.” The last part was added as an offhand joke, perhaps ill-timed, but Iszak had a bit of difficulty controlling his mouth. wOJ9XT

Especially now, when he was wracking his mind of ways of an escape.

The demon perked up, his chin tilting up. A step taken forward. It took all of Iszak’s nerve to remain rooted in his spot and not take a step backward. “You’ll be hard-pressed to find wrath in my soul to feast upon,” the vampire grinned, fearlessly showing off his nonchalance. There was little that he feared. However, he also wasn’t quite confident that he’d be able to escape this encounter.

Another step forward. The miasma’s pressure was absolutely stifling. There was something about this demon that wasn’t quite right. Something about the way the prince’s eyes were dilated, about how they focused with apparent fervor, seeing through Iszak but also not at all.

And though demons weren’t exactly the sanest of creatures, something told Iszak that this one specifically was particularly messed up. FzCcOS

When the demon finally spoke, its voice was haunting, oddly low, and scratchy. The sound was as though it came from the very pits of Iszak’s belly. “Give me the kid.”

“…How about…no.” Iszak leaped out of the way before he even finished speaking. The demon lunged for him, and though he got a head start, the noble blood barely moved out of the way in time.

A dark, cold grey fist slammed into the ground, etching a cater into the spot where Iszak had stood.

“Hang…on tight!” Iszak hissed through gritted teeth. Without looking back, he made a tun for it. The vampire weaved behind the demon of wrath and bolted down the hall, hoping desperately to run into someone or something, anything that could be used as a distraction would help. He didn’t even bother to use his blood ability, knowing that with his current powers, it would only prove futile and a waste of energy against a wrath prince. aJ59TM

Because heavens and hells knew that he would need it. There was no other way he’d be able to outrun and outmatched the enraged beast on his heel.

An angry roar sounded behind him, and soon there were steps heavy enough to shake the entire building.

Iszak did not stop. Even a split second of respite would undoubtedly end with his heart in the demon’s belly. So he could only grit his teeth and move forward as fast as he could. Desperately, he strained his ear and his third eye. There had to be something nearby…! Or someone!

Iszak tore through what looked like a lobby area. There, it seemed that a group of those soulless gun-wielding guards was having trouble with a pair of centaurs in the lobby area. ddhJ6C

With absolutely no mind to the unfolding fight, Iszak blazed through the lobby, weaving through gunfire and stomping hooves. They didn’t even have the time to pay Iszak any mind.

Because soon, the demon prince made his presence known.

Anything and anyone in the monster’s way was torn to shreds; their hearts mercilessly ripped out of their chests in a single swipe. Anyone that dared to look in his direction had their necks snapped.

In a blink of an eye, a group of humans and supernaturals were reduced to corpses. poaKRP

Iszak barely even managed to gain any ground from the distraction. But a distraction was a distraction, even if he was only given a few seconds to work with, a few seconds was enough for the noble blood to escape the demon’s sight.

He thought then, that the prince had changed targets, engaged in a mindless rampage.

Iszak had good reason to believe this was the case, for the prince seemed lost and unaware of his surroundings, very unlike the higher demon ilk that Iszak was used to dealing with.

And thus, the noble blood made a serious mistake. RgTYzn

His mistake was slowing down to survey his surroundings; finding a window to look outside. It seemed that they were rather high up, over ten floors above ground level at least. Iszak still had no issues jumping at the window, it was that the scene unfolding around the facility was no less chaotic than the battles that raged within. The lawn was littered with gunfire, magic, and corpses.

Absently, Iszak wondered just how many of these mindless soulless soldiers the DASR managed to amass.

“…Vampire uncle?” the child’s small, shaking voice summoned Iszak out of his thoughts.

“Hm? What is it, little one?” Iszak pulled back, seeing large eyes filled with tears. Human children at this age were volatile little demons, but luckily wolves matured a little faster. And while the pup was still small, he had the mentality closer to a seven or eight-year-old rather than that of a four-year-old. hKGObe

Hesitantly, the child spoke, “R-run?”

“…” It was then that Iszak realized his blunder.

The miasma came upon them like thunder. The floor shook violently until it cracked beneath Iszak’s feet, opening up a wide gaping hole to the floor below.

The prince had waited for them there, careful and calculating with his movements and hiding his presence until the very last moment. gn5b1C

Ah. Shit. Iszak had been misled by a mindless beast— that perhaps was not as mindless as he had first thought.

As he fell, Iszak used the bits of falling debris as a platform from which he could jump off. Just barely, he managed to dodge a devastating fist being hurled his way. He rolled, arms protectively circling his charge.

But by the time that Iszak managed to get back to his feet, the demon was already upon him once more.

“…Shit!” He raised one palm, calling forth his blood, but it was too slow. ad7sW0

  1. FGHGFYHT!!! No not ISZAK!!!

There’s an ominous feeling he’s gonna be eaten soon (and not in the Franz ship we’ve been routing for)

    Thank you for the excitement

  2. I think Han Li just see Iszak as someone preventing him for rescuing Luca that’s why he is attacking… Maybe ? I certainly hope so ! I love the idea of a totally badass and bloodthirsty demon Han Li with some morals concerning friends and foes 😂

Also… “uncle Iszak”, “vampire uncle” ???? OMG I can’t this is SO CUTE 😍. In a way, I have no doubt that Iszak would the coolest uncle ever (well most of the time… and I’m certain Franz disagree with this statement x))

    • YEAH he probably sees it that way e u e;;; complex reasoning might be a biiittt hard right now. T o T I definitely wanted to show off just what exactly the MC is capable of…so um here is it?

LMFAOOOO COOL UNCLE ISZAK U w U he is also the prettiest uncle (if I ever get around to drawing him)

  3. WOW, Han Li lost it. Completely. But, had he met Iszak even once? Ah… I remember, they did meet. But as crazed as Han Li is now he might not remember. Just where is Graham ‘the Pacifier’ when we need him? Still killing little owls or maybe finishing of the big UGLY owl?

    Thank you for the chapter!!!

      • I do know that owls in general are cute, they can be funny and very majestic. It’s just this one is UGLY, and I won’t change my mind about that.
