1. Why so many Yunsssss??? 🙄😢😅😂
   • Oh it’s just something noble people did to their servants. They give a last name so as they can recognise their “belongings”(yeah I know, not human, but lives was worth nothing back then). If the servant had a last name then they could keep it or change it depending on the master they served. I have seen it to other Chinese novels where they explained it better. An example is the names of the maidservants. It’s common for the maids to have the same last name. Another possibility though is that the name can represent a number since that’s a usual naming option for a shadow guard in a novel or the author just didn’t want to tire themselves to think about multiple names(it would be hard to remember 16 deferent ones)

     • Also, not all servants can have their master’s surname. Only those who are important or already treated as a family.

       • Correct, because nobles were very protective of their last names. Very messed up sometimes, but good for the orphans….a little

     • In this book, these guards are part of the Youyun Estate (the word ‘yun’ in ‘Youyun’ being the same character as the one used as the Youyun guards’ surnames). Their surname ‘Yun’ indicates that they are ‘of the Youyun Estate’. Hope this helps!

     • Yes! Xiao Chengjun had already found out Lou Jing was badly beaten and kept helping him get through the wedding stuff. I remember Lou Jing leaning on him and then finding out he felt good 😄 and I was hooked for good.

8. Like what the actual hell? That constable has to have someone form the palace backing him up because, I don’t see a reason why a mere constable would try to assassinate a former crown prince and prince. Enemies at the front and at the back💔
