There was an earthquake in my area today. Remember that laptop that I paid an arm and a leg to repair a few months back? Yeah, it’s broken again. QAQ I haven’t backed up any of the data I had on it, and judging by the height of the fall it took, I seriously doubt whether it can be saved.
Since I got myself a new laptop and have been working on it instead, my kid has adopted my old laptop and has been using it every day. Now he is PC-less and very sad.

Regarding your laptop data, as long as you can get access to the hard drive, it should still be there. A good technician will be able to get most if not all the data off it, though it’ll cost. If you have to buy a new laptop (again), see if they can take the hard drive out of the old one and set it up as an external without touching the data.
