It wasn’t until the end of Day 4 that Kloh fully regained his consciousness. And the first thing he did was book an expenses paid spa day for Dex. When Kloh bashfully handed over the gift certificate while apologizing, Dex couldn’t hold back his laugh. The fact that he was naked made it funnier.
After occasionally being tossed around during the day, Dex could finally relax. He laid in bed, freshly bathed and wrapped in multiple blankets. Kloh kneeled on the bed on the left side of him. Both hands were respectfully placed in his lap as he looked down at his lap. He unconsciously pouted as he silently chastised himself for his behavior. The image made Dex’s heart soft.
“Kloh, I’m okay. No need to feel bad.” Dex rubbed the sullen alpha’s head.
“But I lost control and didn’t listen to you.” Kloh mumbled, upset with his own behavior.
These were the alpha tendencies that he wasn’t looking forward to. He had heard how hard it was for anyone to keep up with an alpha’s rut, let alone an omega. He thought that he’d at least retain a bit of control. But reality was different.
Dex smiled and pinched Kloh’s ear. The alpha let him and didn’t pull away. He moved closer to Kloh and tilted the alpha’s head up to look at him.
“Kloh, I didn’t expect you to be in control. You’re still new to this. You did good.” Dex consoled him.
Kloh analyzed Dex’s face. He didn’t see any trace of a lie. After a moment he deeply sighed. He reached out and pulled Dex into his arms. Dex smiled as he was wrapped into a comfortable hug. Kloh pressed a kiss against his temple before exhaling softly.
“Thank you.” He said into Dex’s hair as he pressed his face against the top of Dex’s head.
“For what?” Dex asked and leaned into Kloh’s chest.
“Indulging me.” Kloh pressed another kiss against his head.
“Anytime.” Dex laughed lightly.
They stayed like that until Kloh started to catch a cramp in his leg. He reluctantly moved Dex onto the bed before standing up to stretch.
“Okay. What did I miss in the past couple of days?” Asked Kloh as he started cleaning the room.
“Missed? Hmmmm…..not much really.” Dex mumbled from his comfortable bundle.
“I vaguely remember someone visiting the house before my rut happened. Who was it again?”
Dex perked up. For a moment he considered lying but remembered that Kloh would eventually remember everything.
He bit his lip. “It was Sebastian.”
Kloh froze and looked back at Dex, who drilled deeper into his cocoon.
“As in your ex Sebastian?”
Dex hesitatingly nodded.
“Mhmmm. And why was he here?”
“Parents sent him. At least that’s what he said. His father and mine are childhood friends. I didn’t know he was coming over. Honestly I’m shocked th…. ” Dex started rambling nervously.
Kloh laughed, amused. “Dex. Baby relax. I’m not stressed over some idiot that let you slip away.”
Dex peered at him carefully. Then he carefully sniffed the air. There wasn’t any pheromone fluctuations. Plus Kloh appeared pretty calm. Reluctantly, Dex nodded. Kloh gave him a smile and went back to cleaning.
In a comfortable silence that lulled Dex back into a half sleep state, Kloh finished cleaning the room. He was completely embarrassed by the amount of used condoms he found in the various trash cans. A blush covered his face and he stared back at Dex, who’s eyes were partially closed. He licked his lips and could suddenly remember just how tasty his boyfriend was.
The sound of the phone ringing brought him back to reality, grounding him. He shook his head and pulled on some shorts. Dex had the foresight to plug Kloh’s phone in to charge sometime in the last 24 hours. Which Kloh was thankful for. The call cut off by the time he grabbed it. He carefully looked it over. His Power To The O’s group chat had 99+ messages and was at the moment still pinging.
The missed calls were from Donny (2), Seph(3), a whopping 17 from unknown numbers and one surprisingly from Kayle. He easily texted Donny and Seph giving them a short rundown and promising to meet them before the New Year. He ignored the group chat for now. He swiped away the unknown number, already having a feeling who it was. Then he stopped on Kayle’s number. He barely remembered adding her number into his phone. He hesitated calling her back.
He bit his lip and contemplated a bit. It wouldn’t hurt anyone to return the call. Plus he did like speaking to the two little dumplings. If she didn’t answer then it was what it was. Having made a decision, he looked back toward the bed where Dex had fully succumbed to sleep. The light snoring followed by the smacking of lips made Kloh smile, the load on his chest became lighter.
He stepped out of the room, leaving the door cracked. He took a seat in the living room. Pulling up the number, he took a deep breath before calling it. It rang twice before a screeching sound filled the speaker. Kloh winced and immediately moved it away.
“KLOH!” Came the all too excited screams of thing one and thing two, Annette and Lyca.
“Shhhhhhhh. You’ll make me deaf if you keep screaming.” Kloh said over their excited chatter.
“Okay, we’ll be really quiet.” Annette whispered directly into the microphone, making her whisper not much of a whisper.
“Yeah. Very quiet.” Lyca echoed, also whispering into the microphone.
Kloh rolled his eyes but still smiled.
“Where’s your mom?” He asked as he adjusted the volume on his phone.
“Mom and mama are talking upstairs.” Lyca told him.
“We saw them kissing.” Annette added on.

“Kloh! Kloh! Look! Mama said you got this for us.” Annette excitedly pulled a box into the frame.
Both preschoolers reached into the box and pulled out their respective gifts carefully. Annette pulled out a model car that could be taken apart and reassembled. It also came with interchangeable parts. Lyca pulled out a 64 set of color pencils, paints/paint brushes, and a sketchbook. They grinned widely, eyes twinkling as they hugged their gifts. Kloh pinched his ear in slight embarrassment as the two glowed and showed off.

They made a bunch of wild promises before Kloh managed to calm them down. They carefully put away their presents then put the box in a different section from all the other stuff. When Kloh asked them why they didn’t put it with all the other stuff, they very seriously explained to him that the gift was too special to be with the normal gifts.
“Okay okay. I’ll tell Dex you liked them.” He eventually said and rubbed his increasingly pink ears.
“Oh is Dex there?” “Dex! Dex! Are you there?!” The two faces filled the screen.
“Shhhhh he’s sleeping.” Kloh explained and put his lips on his fingers.
The two copied him and nodded. Annette leaned into the camera and pulled Lyca with her.
“Hey, do you wanna know a secret?” She whisper-yelled into the microphone.
“Sure.” Kloh said with a laugh.
Annette looked at Lyca, who stared back at her. The two seemed to communicate without words before turning to Kloh.
“On Christmas, a monster came to the house.” Annette began.
“He he was ten feet tall and had shiny teeth.” Lyca continued.
“Yeah and his hands were sparkly and shiny.”
“And he he he looked like an alpha.”
“He sounded very mean and was loud.”
Kloh laughed to himself at their description. The two were actually too cute for Kloh to handle.
“Mama got angry when he tried to come in.”
“And Mom was surprised. Then mad.”
“Then he gave Mama a present for us but Mama said no.”
“Then Mom told him to leave and get out.”
The two looked solemn and serious.
Kloh’s smile stuttered a bit. He originally thought that it was a made up story but the more they talked the more he realized it wasn’t. He had learned that kids, even if they are recounting something in a very dramatic way, never really lie until they are taught to do so.
“And where were you guys?” Kloh asked.
“We hid in the kitchen.” “But we snuck out to see who it was.” Their eyes were bright and shiny as they spoke.
“And who was it?”
“Mama said it was your daddy Kloh.” Annette said conspiratorially.
Lyca nodded and repeated what she said. “So did Mom.”
“My dad?” Kloh blinked slowly, not sure how to process what he was hearing.
“He… he said that he would talk to you.”
“And that Mom was in trouble for lying to him.”
Then they stared closer at Kloh.
“Kloh what did Mom lie about?” “Yeah do you know?”
Kloh shook his head. “No I don’t know.”
“Okay. But you can’t tell anyone.” “This is a secret.” The two hurriedly said.
“Babies, where are you?” Kloh could hear Kayle in the background calling out.
Said babies got up and shushed Kloh. They even had the sense to turn off the video call. Kloh tsked, these two were too clever for their age. He was already worried about their future antics.
“Mama look Kloh called.” Lyca called out.
“Oh did he?” Kayle’s voice got clearer as she got closer.
“We said thank you for the presents.” Annette told her.
“Well aren’t you two such good and smart kids? Here, I’ll talk to Kloh and you two get cleaned up. We’ll go out to Bailey’s for dinner okay?”
The two screeched in happiness. Messily they said their goodbyes to Kloh before he heard the pitter patter of them running away. When Kayle spoke into the phone, he was still in a bit of a stupor. He muddled his way through pleasantries and holiday greetings before promising to visit. When he finally hung up, he had set a date to go over with Dex for dinner.
As he put the phone down, he caught sight of the missed calls. The 17 missed calls. Upon closer inspection, he saw that 4 of the 17 were from a different unknown number. For the first one, he took a second but eventually recognized as the home phone number for Alexandre. He immediately added that one to his block list. But the second one, he had not seen before. Annette’s words flashed into his head. He said he would talk to you. Was it that pompous asshole that donated sperm for his birth? He couldn’t be called a father as far as Kloh was considered. At least not his father.
Checking the call history, he saw that he got one call every day at roughly the same time. The most recent call being from today when he was cleaning up. There’s no way that it’d be him, right? Kloh pondered on it. Should he call back? But what if he called back and it was him, then what?
“Kloh?”
Kloh jolted out of his thoughts and looked back. Dex stood in the doorway, leaning against the frame sleepily. He had a blanket wrapped around his shoulders and dragging on the floor.
“Yes baby?” He responded, his voice soft and tender.
“Are you coming to bed?” Dex asked softly as he rubbed his eye.
Dex’s pheromone addiction had been thoroughly satisfied these past couple of days. After spending three and a half days surrounded by thick alpha pheromones, his body was having trouble readjusting to normalcy. So he wasn’t able to sleep well when Kloh wasn’t by him. He found it a bit embarrassing at first but realized that Kloh didn’t mind indulging him. And if Kloh didn’t care, why should he? After waking up, he immediately came out to coerce the alpha back into his bed.
Kloh smiled softly, removing the previous thoughts. “Yes I am.”

The awkward thing about estrus was that everyone was well aware that you just spent the last couple of days having sex. The embarrassing part was going into estrus while in your boyfriend’s parent’s house. And the horrifying part was knowing that they supplied the condoms you didn’t want to use.
Kloh couldn’t look anyone in the eye for more than a second without blushing and looking away. Dahlen and Lane were extremely amused by his actions. They took pity on the poor alpha when he suggested that he go back to his house until the New Year’s party they had planned. Dex went with him with a laugh. After the two had rejoined everyone, he and Lane had an extensive talk about aftercare and things to look out for. So he too was very ready to get away from such an embarrassing atmosphere.
“How about we swing by and pick up Wesley and you two can go to the spa?” Kloh suggested as they pulled out the driveway.
“What about you?” Dex asked as he watched the man drive.
“Me? I’m gonna go see the kiddies. Oh, they said thanks for the presents. They loved them.” Kloh replied and shot him a smile.
“That’s great. But do you want me to go with you?” A trickle of worry was embedded into the words.
Dex was well aware of how Kloh felt about his mom. Plus seeing her around her new family wasn’t something that he wanted Kloh to be around alone. Dex was worried for Kloh but the alpha just smiled at him.
“Don’t worry. Aida isn’t home. Plus I’m taking them out.”
“I can tag along if you want. The spa can wait.”
“Baby, I swear I’ll be fine. The spa can’t wait. I saw a slight limp this morning. This spa is supposed to be great for omegas. Plus there’s even a specialized post-rut massage.”
Post-rut massage? Dex felt the blood rush into his face as he blushed. Kloh chuckled as a shy look filled Dex’s face. The omega pinched Kloh’s arm in embarrassment.
“How did you even find that?” He mumbled as he looked out the window.
“Wesley recommended it.”
“Mmcht. I should’ve known. Hmmm fine then. I’ll text him. He’s probably waiting for the invite anyway.” Dex mentally admonished the little omega’s noisy tendencies.
“Sounds good.” Kloh said with a laugh and adjusted the GPS to Wesley’s place.
“Are you sure you’ll be okay?” Dex asked again before sending out the message.
“I swear. We’re gonna go to the Christmas market and fair. Then to Bran’s. Then back home for them. Nothing crazy. I will text you if anything happens.”
“Promise?” Dex held out his pinky.
“Promise.” With a laugh Kloh pinky promised.
“Good. Then I’m sending the text.”
Dex hesitated for another second before sending it. He got an immediate reply from

“Great.” He laughed. “And you too, promise you’ll text me if anything happens.”
“We’re going to a spa. Nothing’s gonna happen.”
“Still. Promise?”
Dex laughed a little and wrapped his pinky around the offered pinky.
“Fine. Promise.”
The ride to Wesley’s house was fairly quick. He and Mars lived together in an apartment closer to the city. As they pulled up, they could see Wesley standing outside the apartment in a long winter coat with a tote bag and sunglasses, despite it being a fairly cloudy day. Mars stood beside him, shielding him from the wind. As soon as he saw the car, Wesley started waving widely.
“Tsk.” Dex tutted with no malice, instead it carried a hint of humor as Mars tried to get the overactive omega to chill out.
Kloh pulled up by them. Wesley turned in Mars’s arms, maneuvered out and dove into the car. He shut it without a look back. Mars stood there for a second, just dumbfounded. Then he shot Wesley a few pitiful looks through the window. The two in the front laughed at the interaction.
“Wes, this is how you treat me after waking me up so early and taking my credit card for a spa day? After how much you put me through last night?” Mars pitifully said.
Wesley rolled the window down a crack just so the top of his face was showing. He pushed the sunglasses down a bit and looked over the pouting alpha. He tutted.
“I’ll be back in a couple of hours. I hope by then you’ll have reflected on your behavior last night.” He said seriously.
“I told you I didn’t mean too.” Mars exclaimed.
“You still did it though.” Wesley shook his head in disappointment.
“The handcuffs were your idea! How was I supposed to know it would trigger a knot?!” Mars’s voice held many grievances.
“Tsk. Your dick, your fault. Next time don’t get too excited. Love you. Bye.” He blew his fiancee a kiss and rolled up the window.
Kloh cleared his throat when he heard the word knot and couldn’t help but glance at Dex. Dex blushed and looked away shyly.
“Can I at least come with?” They heard Mars say.
“Omega only spa. No alphas. Go reflect.” Wesley simply answered, then turned to Kloh and said, “Onward. Me and Dex have many things to discuss.”
Dex laughed at Wesley’s increasingly posh tone. It was something he did when he was annoyed but not enough to be pissed off. Dex was aware that by the time they reached the spa, Wesley would be over the whole situation. If only Wesley knew that Mars already figured out just how fickle he could be and was just playing along.
“We’re just gonna leave him here?” Kloh asked uneasily.
“He’ll be fine.” Wesley leaned back into the seat like a well off madam being chauffeured.
Kloh turned to Dex, who was still enjoying the show.
“He’ll be fine. If Wesley was truly upset, Mars would’ve made sure you couldn’t leave until they worked it out. Promise.” Dex wagged his pinky at him.
Kloh looked between the two omegas. Then at the pouting alpha on the curb. Although he sounded upset, Mars seemed pretty relaxed. With a final glance, he waved to Mars then pulled out.
“Alright then. Onward we go.”

Hearts of steel! If I was Kloh I think I would have dragged Mars along for his date with the kids instead.
