Dex, Lee, Linnea and the other Beta named Abel all sat in the living room area of Lee and Kloh’s apartment style room. Once someone entered the room, they’d first see this living room area. Lee had decorated it with two huge couches and bean bags. A solid oak table sat in the middle of the space. A plasma screen TV hung on the wall opposite of the couches. Many different picture frames hung around the TV. Most of them of Kloh and Lee. The most eye-catching was a graduation picture from when they both graduated high school. They were hugging each other, fully dressed in their regalia, bouquets of flowers hanging from their hands as the pressed their faces together and grinned at the camera. They both looked so happy and carefree.
A little past the living room area was the bedroom. Two similar styled beds were set on opposite walls. One adorned in shades of pastels and the other other in the simplest shades of grey. The more colorful side belonged to the chubby cutie Lee. He was an avid lover of all things bright and his side reflected his personality. It was messy, his bed hadn’t been made since he left that morning. Random items of clothing littered the floor. On the dresser were several bottles of water in various stages of being finished. His desk was just as messy. Several textbooks laid open next to the dying laptop that he forgot to charge. It was a mess but so was Lee. Kloh’s side was much neater, not at the moment though. The usually tidy bed was a crumpled mess and he laid in it, completely passed out. The clothes he pulled off covered the otherwise clean floor. His desk though was tidy. All his books were placed in his bookshelf. His desktop showcasing a picture of him and Lee at the beach. Off to the side was the bathroom and closets. Both his and Lee’s were filled with Lee’s clothing. Overall the dorm was very homey. One couldn’t help but feel comfortable.
However the current atmosphere did not allow for comfort. The four sat in pairs of twos. The two betas on one couch and the two brothers on the other. Linnea was busily clicking away on her phone, most likely communicating with the two brother’s father. Abel sat by her and in similar fashion was clicking away on his phone. He was most likely communicating with their eldest brother, Beau, who was even worse than their father. Lee fidgeted next to the calm Dex. His dark blue eyes would occasionally scan over Dex, hovering on his visible neck area. Although he had replaced the patch, it was very difficult to hide the traces of what happened earlier.
A bit embarrassed by the glance he tugged awkwardly on the clothes Lee had found for him. Pulling the drawstring of the hoodie tighter he relaxed into the couch. The clothes actually belonged to Kloh. All of Lee’s clothes were too small for his frame. When Lee had switched over to ransacking Kloh’s cabinets, he had made his way into the bathroom and showered. Lee was finally able to find some baggy clothing Kloh used on his lazy days. The sweater was huge and fit comfortably on Dex’s bulky frame. Lee made a comment on how he and Kloh would sometimes put the sweater on together and nap when the heater was broken. The image had him smile a bit. The pants were a matching set with the sweater. He felt comfortable in the clothes. They were soft and smelled a little like Kloh. He froze, he had been unconsciously pressing the fabric of the sweater to his face taking small sniffs. Now fully embarrassed, he cleared his throat and sat up catching the attention of the others in the room.
“When are they getting here? I have to get back to my room.” He said to the two.
“Your father won’t be able to get away from the dinner party without explaining this…. situation so your dad is coming instead.” Linnea surmised.
Abel cleared his throat and added drily, “Your brother is in a debriefing and said he’d be over to see you later tonight once he’s out. He also said that you and him would have a serious conversation about the dangers of being with an Alpha.”
Both brothers rolled their eyes. Beau had always been a dramatic person. This incident would only worsen his habits.
“Tell my brother that he’s an idiot.” Dex said to Abel.
Abel chuckled before nodding and went back to tapping away on his phone. They fell back into a weird silence. Lee couldn’t help but fidget. He tugged at the sweater then looked at Dex then went back to tugging on his sweater. This whole situation was too much for him to wrap his head around. He couldn’t help but glance toward the bedroom where Kloh was heavily sedated. He bit his lip in worry, eyes flashing to his brother than back towards the bedroom. He just hoped Dex wasn’t too upset with Kloh. It would suck if his brother and best friend didn’t get along.
Twenty minutes later, Dex was being patted down by his worried Dad in the backseat of one of their family cars. Lee sat in the front seat, occasionally looking back as Linnea drove. After several minutes of aggressive review, Dex caught his Dad’s hands.
“Dad, please stop. I’m fine really. He didn’t do anything…” He hastily explained to the worried man.
“Liar! Linnea said you had to shower. He clearly did something.” His Dad, a small omega named Lane, eyed him suspiciously.
It was really hard to lie to his Dad. Especially when the man always looked like he knew everything regardless of what was said to him. Lane was practically an older version of Lee. While Lee had more of a taller and slightly chubby frame, Lane was chubby and short. Although their builds were different, they shared a similar aura. Everything from their dark blue eyes to the crooked way they smiled as if they held all the secrets in the world. Lane’s dirty blond hair was arranged neatly and he wore a dark red suit. He was clearly dressed for a night out. But here he was instead, in the backseat of a car waiting for his son to respond. Dex sighed and looked away in defeat.
“Well nothing beyond what I was okay with.” Dex whispered softly, his cheeks heating up.
“Oh my poor baby. Was he at least gentle?” Lane whispered back with a knowing look as he pushed a loose curl back into the hoodie.
“Dad! Oh my god! No! Nothing like that happened. Oh my god!” Dex’s eyes went wide as he pushed Lane away, covering his face, absolutely humiliated.
Lane stifled a laugh before showing a small smile. He reached out and took Dex’s hands away from his blushing face. He gently pinched the scrunched up nose.
“Okay sweetie. That’s good then. I’ll have an easier time convincing your father to not call the police on Kloh.” He said with a laugh.
Dex scoffed. His father was just as dramatic as Beau. Two peas in pod those two were. It was like his father cloned himself completely.
“Dad! You can’t call the police on Kloh.” Lee yelled from the passenger side seat, his head turning back as he tuned into the conversation.
“Relax hun. No one is calling the cops. We might need to call a doctor though. What happened to Kloh is extremely disturbing.” He appeased his youngest child.
Dex couldn’t help but look at the back window towards the car following behind them. In it was Abel, the two alpha guards and the sedated Kloh. Lee had thrown a fit, insisting on staying with his best friend. But a quick look from Lane stopped him from continuing. Instead he sulked as he got into the first car with his brother.
“You worried about him?” Lane suddenly asked him.
Dex snapped his head back having found a sudden interest in the car roof. He scoffed.
“Worried? Why should I be worried about some kid experiencing his first rut?” He said with a calm he didn’t feel.
Lane laughed at the feigned attitude of the middle child. Dex never was the type to worry too much about others. Especially when they didn’t interest him. But just looking at him, Lane could tell he was worried or at least interested in the situation.
“What if something is wrong with Kloh? Dad, you have to call the best doctors to check him, okay?” Lee said with a panicked look.

He couldn’t imagine anything bad happening to Kloh. Just the thought of him being hurt caused tears to well up in Lee’s eyes. Seeing that his youngest baby was working himself up, Lane reached forward and patted his messy dirty blond hair.

He blinked his big blue tear filled eyes at his Dad. He sniffed and pouted, the tears threatening to fall. Lane sighed at the sad and pleading look. He really couldn’t resist his giving in to Lee’s puppy dog look. He rolled his eyes at the blatant coercion.
“Fine. I can maybe convince your father to let him stay in the guest house. There’s no way he can be in the main house with two unmarked omegas.” Lane finally said.
“That’s fine.” Dex quickly agreed before Lee could start arguing.
“But he…” Lee started then stopped when Dex cut him a look.
“Great. That’s settled. Now let’s get our stories together. Your father doesn’t need to know every single detail.”

The first thought that crossed Kloh’s mind was about how cold he was. He groaned and rolled over, pulling the blankets with him. He snuggled deeper into the bed, still cold but extremely comfortable. He didn’t remember taking out his winter blankets yet. He paused, blinking his bleary eyes. He hadn’t taken his winter blankets out yet. Blinking even more in order to clear the haze before him, he sat up and looked around. It took a minute to register that he wasn’t in his room. It took another minute to realize that he was naked and followed by the realization that he was extremely thirsty.
Glancing around the big room, he could only make out the pair of double doors across from him. He tried to get a feel of the room wondering why he couldn’t see well.
“You just gonna sit in the dark like a weird person?” Someone asked from somewhere in the room.
Jumping in surprise, he looked over to the window by his bed. In the little perch was an unfamiliar person. He had slicked back black hair and dark blue eyes. Eyes very similar to Lee’s. For whatever reason, he was wearing camouflage pants and a dress shirt. He wasn’t a very big man but the way he crossed his muscled arms over his chest made him look bigger. Kloh vaguely realized that the man was an alpha. He looked at the alpha wearily.
“You’re also sitting in the dark. Weirdo.” Kloh replied.
“Ah but there’s a difference between you and I.” The unfamiliar but strangely familiar man said as he stood up.
“Which is?”
“I make it look good.” The man slowly grinned and posed.
Kloh scoffed. What an annoying man. He turned to the bedside dresser to turn on the lamp.
“Don’t.”
But the light had already flicked on. Immediately Kloh regretted it. The light against his skin was painful. With a pained hiss, he tugged the string again to turn it back off. He could hear the annoying man laugh then sigh. Kloh glared at him.
“I told you not to.” He laughed.
“After I turned it on.” Kloh hissed at him and rubbed his tingling arms.
“Your body will be sensitive to light for another half hour. The sedatives are still in your system. Since it was a large dose it might hold for a bit.” He explained after he finished laughing at Kloh.
“Sedatives? Why…….”
Immediately the memories of earlier that night, day, whatever time it was. All the memories of before he woke up here came crashing down, flooding his system. The first wave of feelings to hit him was regret and embarrassment. He cursed and fell back into the bed. Hands covering his face. Flashes of the beautiful Omega crossed his mind. His flushed face, his feel, his unrestrained noises, his reaction to Kloh. Fuck! He groaned and curled into himself.
“Ah I see the memories are coming back. Good, I was worried the sedatives would mess with your memory.”
“Fuck me. I need to apologize. Shit! What the hell happened to me. Is he okay?” Kloh clutched his head as the memories rapidly filled in.
Although his head was killing him, he could think of the omega. Dex. His name was Dex. He remembered hearing the name before everything went blank. He looked over at the man, worry covering his face.
“Dex. He’s okay? I didn’t hurt him right? I tried to control myself like he asked but I……. fuck me.” A litany of curses fell from his mouth as the last of his memories settled, giving him a clear picture of what happened.
“Dex is fine. He’s with Lee and Dad.”
“Can I see him? I need to apologize.” Kloh perked up.
The thought of seeing Dex again filled his heart with an emotion he couldn’t quite describe. But it was immediately crushed by the man’s response.
“No way! You’ve done enough. Until we figure out what’s wrong with you, you can’t be around him or Lee, for that matter.”
“But…”
“Shut it. Don’t even mention it. The doctor and my father are coming over soon. I’ll reduce the dimmed lights. The light shouldn’t bother you as much now.”
The man walked over to the double doors and turned the little knob by them. The room got brighter. His skin still tingled but the feeling was much more bearable now. Plus the lights weren’t fully on. Kloh could finally see clearly. He looked around the simple room. It had a couple of dressers to his right and a comfy looking couch on the left of him. In front of the couch was a small table with a laptop on it. There was a tasteful yellow color on the walls matching the baby and dark blue furniture placed throughout the room. He was sitting in a full sized bed covered in a dark yellow blanket. The alpha made his way over to the couch and closed what Kloh assumed was his laptop.
“How are you feeling?” He asked.
“Numb and cold.” Kloh responded by pulling covers over him.
He suddenly felt extremely uncomfortable as he became hyper aware of the situation. He was in a strange place, sitting naked in a bed with an unknown alpha in the room. He eyed the man then looked towards the door. He contemplated how far he could get before the man could catch him.
“Don’t. Please don’t run. It’ll be extremely awkward and troublesome to explain to Lee why I tied up his best friend. Plus you’re naked.” The man looked at Kloh as he calmly spoke.
“Well, if you woke up naked with a strange alpha in the room, wouldn’t you want to escape?” Kloh narrowed eyes at him.
“If I was an omega, yes absolutely. As an alpha though, I would kick his ass first. Naked and all.” He grinned at him.
“Well then you clearly know why I want to escape yet you’re asking me not to.” Kloh scoffed. He couldn’t believe he was having this conversation right now.
“You’re not an omega though, Kloh.” The man stated, his tone had finality to it as if Kloh suggesting he was anything but an alpha was wrong.
“Who are you to tell me what I am or am not? Stinky alpha, you don’t know shit.” Kloh pulled the blanket tighter around him.
He wrapped it around his body until only his face was showing. He sent several glares at the man. He shuffled back, adding distance between them. The man scoffed and rolled his eyes as if offended by the action.
“What exactly do you think happened to you yesterday?”
Kloh paused. He couldn’t exactly explain it. The heat he felt yesterday was unlike anything he had ever experienced before. He could only come to one conclusion.
“I must’ve been drugged at the party. And whatever was in the drugs caused my heat to come. Which explains why I reacted so strongly to Dex’s pheromones.” He finally answered.
The man nodded then raised a finger.
“First, I will agree that you were most likely drugged.”
He raised a second finger, “Second, I will also agree that whatever drug you were given definitely triggered something in you and caused you to react so strongly to Dex. But Kloh there’s an intense flaw in your theory.”
“Which is?”
“For starters, had you been in heat, you, without a doubt, wouldn’t have made it to your room in one piece. Especially what would’ve been your first heat. With the amount of alphas on campus last night someone would’ve caused trouble for you.”
Kloh paused and contemplated. He had a fair point. Kloh had seen what heats could do to an omega. He had friends that were nearly mauled by alphas when their first heat happened. Luckily he was able to help them get to a safe place before anything happened to them.
“Next, you didn’t react like an omega going through their first heat. Instead you acted like an alpha in a rut. A really bad one too. You shouldn’t have reacted to Dex’s pheromones at all. Omegas don’t react to other omegas in that way.”
“So what are you trying to say?”
The man sat up and cleared his throat.
“There’s only two things in this world that could explain your behavior towards Dex. One, an alpha in a rut reacting to an omega, especially if said omega is their chosen one. And two, Dex would’ve also had to be in heat. And we know Dex wasn’t in heat. Matter of fact, his next one isn’t expected for another month.”
Kloh’s expression soured at the last tidbit of information. Who was this man to Dex for him to know that. That aside, Kloh couldn’t see any flaw in his analysis. But still he couldn’t accept it. He was an omega. He had been since birth. He produced omega pheromones. He had the distinct bump in the crook of his neck buried in his glands the same way as any omega.
“But my pheromones…”
“Are no longer the same. And from what I saw your glands have morphed as well.”
Kloh slouched as he processed the information. Within the blanket he reached up and touch his neck. He could feel the distinct patch covering the glands on his neck. Pressing against it, he could no longer feel the usual protruding bump. After pressing around awhile longer he found it but it was much smaller than before. His mouth went dry. He didn’t have any words. He couldn’t formulate any thoughts.
“I’m sorry to be blunt but do you even have a uterus.?” The man softly asked.
“Mom said I was born with a damaged one and I had it removed when I was still a child.” He answered instinctually, shock finally settling in.
The man sighed heavily. He reached up and rubbed his temple. At that moment the door softly opened and two men walked in. One alpha and one beta. The alpha was a tall, bulky man, he immediately reminded Kloh of Dex. He had curly black hair that was cut short, military style. He had the same piercing brown eyes Dex had. The same prominent jawline and plump lips. He looked so much like Dex that Kloh had come to the conclusion that this was Dex’s father. Wearing a crisp black suit that suited his tanned skin well, the alpha gave off a menacing aura. And he stared at Kloh like he wanted to throttle him. The beta next to him gave off a more welcoming aura. He wore thick rimmed glasses that framed his pale face nicely. His eyes were a soft brown color. He smiled softly at Kloh. His brown hair was pulled back into a ponytail. He was wearing the usual doctor getup. Including a stethoscope hanging around his neck. In one hand he held a bag, in the other was a binder. Looking between the two then to the man on the couch. He could see the resemblance between the two alphas. Suddenly the words the man spoke earlier registered in his brain. Was this alpha related to Dex and Lee? He had said his father was coming with a doctor. Plus this man looked like an older grumpier version of Dex. He knew that Lee had two brothers but he never met either of them. To be honest the only person from Lee’s family he had met occasionally was Lee’s dad. He could now see the similarities between the man and Lee’s dad. Especially the all knowing eyes.
“Fuck me.” He whispered to himself.
Had he attacked Lee’s brother? He gritted his teeth and cursed himself. The three watched as he whispered to himself. Occasional curses filtering through the mumbling. The older alpha raised a brow at the younger one. The man shrugged and relaxed into the couch.
“Sorry to interrupt. We were gonna come in earlier but heard you talking.” The beta said with a smile.
“And chose to eavesdrop instead?” The younger alpha drawled.
The beta laughed shortly but nodded in the end.
“Yes, sorry about that. We figured Kloh might be able to tell you things he wouldn’t feel comfortable telling us.” The beta replied as he walked over to where Kloh was going through a mental crisis.
He stopped at the edge of the bed and gingerly sat down as if afraid to startle Kloh. Kloh only glanced at him briefly before eyeing the two alphas. He finally managed to formulate his words.
“Who exactly are y’all?”
“I’m Dr. Yves. I work with Lee’s father. The annoying alpha on the couch is Beau, Lee’s eldest brother and the moody one is Lee’s father, Dahlen.” The beta, Dr. Yves introduced.
Kloh looked over at Dahlen, Lee’s father and licked his lips anxiously.
“And how are you related to Dex?” He asked the older alpha.
He knew the answer but for some reason still needed to hear it. Dahlen narrowed eyes at the young alpha on the bed. The anger that reduced because of Lane’s persuasions had bubbled back up. He glared heavily at Kloh, a scowl appearing on his face and basically snarled at him.
“I’m his father.”
“Fuck.”
