    • I figure Qiqi will catch on pretty quick after he is left alone with Dan Yi “for the good of the Chen family” when the Tiande Emperor goes home with a well-positioned spy, lol. I just worry that A-Mu and the little fairy will catch trouble if the Emperor realizes he doesn’t have a pet Qiqi anymore. Also I ship the little fairy and Jiujiu so that A Mu can finally have his dreams come true.

    • It was mentioned before that Dan Yin’s dad was making other eggs, so that’s probably going to take care of the lineage continuation issue.

    Also, if the Tiande dog keeps dropping hints like that, Qiqi might catch on quicker onto his feelings than expected… or he might take time until Dan Yi kisses him again to prove his feelings or something. Either way, I really like this story so far.

    Btw why is it written Qiqi not Ziqi when Dan Yi calls him? Is it because different characters are used here?

    • Ah it’s an affectionate nickname! Chinese like to use a double-barrel of the last character in your name as an affectionate nickname, especially when the traditional naming method is followed (meaning that only the last character of your name is unique to you. The first character is the surname, the second character is the generation name, and then the last character is your unique identifier). Perhaps I should have explained that in the earlier chapters. Will include it as a note in the next chap 🙂
