Neck KissCh75 - Old Stories of Old Friends 2

In the laboratory, the voice of Fang Xingping carried the weathered tone typical of an elder.

“Although I don’t know what happened between you two, but A-jin has sacrificed too much for this relationship. He has had thoughts of giving up treatment several times. Over the years, I increasingly feel that life seems to have little meaning and expectation for A-jin. If it weren’t for unfinished business in the Qingyan Gang, perhaps he would have stopped coming to me for medication long ago. A-jin… he basically wagered his life for a relationship that brought him great harm!” zq12c9

Feng Zhi stood there, his face frozen in frost. Fang Xingping’s words reminded him of everything he saw in Yang Huaijin’s apartment – clean and tidy, but devoid of vitality.

“I know A-jin would never tell anyone about these things, and even if he found a new Alpha, I wouldn’t say a word. But his recent improvement in health has been too rapid, to the extent of him getting pregnant. I remember a similar situation a few years ago, and there’s only one possible reason for this – he found that Alpha who gave him the deep mark. His pheromones stabilized at an astonishing rate, and his body underwent significant self-repair,” Fang Xingping stared at Feng Zhi, “I don’t want to know why you left him, but since you’re back together, I think you should know everything A-jin has been through.”

Feng Zhi had visited Fang Xingping long ago, but he remained tight-lipped. Now, everything he had been eager to know was laid out before him, and he felt a shock in his heart.

He never imagined things would turn out like this, not the way he once thought, where two people meet, fall in love, and then break up for some reason. Yang Huaijin never gave up on their relationship, even when they had a child and he took a break from A University. If he had been by Yang Huaijin’s side back then, their child might have grown up by now, Yang Huaijin’s health wouldn’t have deteriorated to this extent, he wouldn’t have entered the underworld, and would have had a promising life and future… sMKElN

“Yeah,” Feng Zhi nodded, “Otherwise, Crimson Alliance Hall wouldn’t be most wary of Yang Huaijin, but I knew nothing.”

Feng Zhi remembered his attitude towards Yang Huaijin in the past—suspicious, vigilant, probing… They stood on different sides and camps, engaged in countless clandestine struggles. Looking back now, how ironic it all seemed, and what kind of feelings did Yang Huaijin have every time he saw him?

“If Master Jin didn’t need you, I’d punch a hole in your head right now!” Zhou Qing exclaimed.

Feng Zhi turned his gaze to Zhou Qing, his voice steady as he replied, “Alright, if Yang Huaijin doesn’t need me anymore, then honor your words today.”

Zhou Qing paused for a moment at the solemnity in Feng Zhi’s tone, then sneered, “Huh, anyone can talk big!”

Feng Zhi lowered his eyes, remained silent for a moment, then said, “Yes, you can’t kill me unless you can ensure that Yang Huaijin never sees through your flaws.” LN4eQz

“You—” Zhou Qing was even more furious, but then he understood what Feng Zhi meant. How could Master Jin let Feng Zhi die because of him? If he really did such a thing, Master Jin wouldn’t forgive him and would blame himself for it.

Feng Zhi no longer looked at Zhou Qing, but turned to face Fang Xingping and bowed deeply.

“Elder Fang, thank you for informing me of all this. Twelve years ago, I was seriously injured in a gunfight and lost all my memories. I have no way to make up for these twelve years for Yang Huaijin, and I suppose he wouldn’t care anyway,” Feng Zhi chuckled self-deprecatingly. “However, although I marked him, I belong to him, but he doesn’t belong to me.”

Fang Xingping didn’t immediately understand what Feng Zhi meant. Then he heard Feng Zhi continue, “Elder Fang, I know there are methods in medical science now to remove deep marks, but it requires the consent of the Omega owner and the signing of relevant agreements for the surgery to proceed. In a couple of days, I’ll arrange for my lawyer to come and verify the content of the agreement with you. I’ll cooperate with everything that requires an Alpha’s signature. I’ll leave this agreement with you. If Yang Huaijin doesn’t want this child or wants to leave me, please give him this agreement. He can remove the mark at any time.” 6ugk7z

“You…” Fang Xingping was deeply shaken. For an Alpha, erasing the deep mark of their Omega was akin to excruciating heartache. Besides the physical discomfort, the psychological impact was entirely unacceptable. “You should know that if the mark is removed, there will be no relationship between you anymore.”

“And, the child in his belly…” Fang Xingping hesitated.

Almost no Alpha would disregard their offspring, especially considering that the offspring conceived with an Omega would most likely be an Alpha. However, Feng Zhi was the exception. He cared little for his own life, let alone an unborn child. He told Fang Xingping, “The child’s fate is entirely up to Yang Huaijin to decide.”

“For an Alpha, if they can’t protect their Omega, then what right do they have to possess that Omega?” Feng Zhi looked at Zhou Qing and Fang Xingping. “Neither Zhou Qing nor I can shoot me, nor can I. So, I’ll hand all the decision-making power back to Yang Huaijin. You both genuinely care about him, so let today serve as a witness for him!” kGdLh8

Feng Zhi didn’t say anything more and took his leave.

Feng Zhi’s feelings were in turmoil. Until today, he still thought that the relationship between him and Yang Huaijin was just a story of reconciliation after a breakup. Since there was this mark between them and he liked Yang Huaijin very much, he was even willing to persist and keep him by his side. But did he have the right to persist? He made him suffer so much…

  1. Thanks for the chapters. I knew the progression of this would be different as soon as Feng Zhi knew Yang Huaijin was pregnant the next chapter after he himself found out instead of 50 chapters later lol. Yang Huaijins backstory keeps getting more and more sad. I do like how Feng Zhi is starting to understand that they will get together only if Yang Huaijin wants it and is questioning his worth over Yang Huaijins suffering.
