  6. I don’t think the author ‘hates’ women. There are a lot of stupid and evil male characters in this novel too. The main antagonist (former protagonist) is male, so…

    This was just Jiang Yuantu’s destiny.. Shen Xin was not evil, only very sad and angry and she tried to take revenge slowly, and she was dangerous so she had to die. That’s life in this world.

    • Thank you. I’ve been thinking this every time I see complaints about the women. There are also many dumb n evil men but everyone focuses on the women and ignores the men creating this bias. I’ll list a bunch I can recall. There’s the liu uncle who killed his brother n sister in law aka mufengs parents, the wang uncles who alienated mufeng, all of xiao xu’s family esp his maternsl grandpa, song mo, dong feipeng, the sad fang brothers,mifengs martial brother who was kicked out n killed,elder ma n his grandkid, the boy who beat his concubines, the guys from the middle continent like feipang n company who tried to kill them. Yes it was to umpress the 2nd heroine but also a grudge. Let’s not forget the demin swct master brothee n sin from liwer contunent and the guy who tricked them and the women he flirted with into being sacrifices for breaking an array. There’s been so many bad guys but no one says the author hates men. There’s only rly 3-4 kind ppl. 4th aunt, sect master, his disciple and 3rd elder. Now pianpian is looking good. Plus the ji sisters last we heard are doing well adjusting in the sect by trying to marry good men n not cause trouble for mc.

    • I’m not defending his actions, but when your adoptive daughter leads your closest friend on for hundreds of years, poisons him, and stabs him right in front of you, there ain’t a lot to talk about, especially since she revealed her entire plan within earshot… lol

      Plus, it seems to me they didn’t have a true father-daughter relationship but rather a closer master-disciple relationship, but without the formalities. Heck, Mufeng has a closer relationship with Xiaoyuan than those two ‘father and daughter’

        • Just because he didn’t die does excuse the fact that she tried to kill him! I don’t see your point there, but I do understand that it’s partially his fault that this happened. But, we don’t see it from his perspective, he could be pretty upset about it and just hiding it. it has been established that he lies about his feeling lol—

          Also, how is it his fault that she held resentment? No matter how good of a father he could have been, it still wouldn’t have changed her hatred as it wasn’t pointed at him. She hated Yuantu, not the sect leader, so even if he was the best dad in the world, she still would have tried to kill Yuantu.

          • I don’t think it’s his fault at all. She was a full adult at that point. No matter how well he raises her, if she secretly carried thst resentment in her heart all along pretending she’s fine, there’s nothing he could do. At her age, I can’t Blane him at all. She had intent to harm and would continue to hsve that intent so needed to be taken care of. She only didn’t kil him bc mufeng discovered the poison and the sect master showed up in time to stop her. With 3rd elder in the state he was in, he mightve let himself die with her.

Okay her explanation was just painful, my heart hurts💔💔💔.CHENCHEN DONT TRUST HERR!!!! this whole situation is probably foreshadowing what WILL happen between Pianpian and Chenchen and i expect it but will still be disappointed. Mufeng should also start being wary, i mean this is the 2ND SIGN i’m getting that Pianpian a will also be a traitor. He shouldn’t have had hope. Maybe he wants to give her the benefit of doubt becuz she is most pure among the wives, or he wants her as an ally but this is still reckless. I feel sad in advance for Chenchen

    • Chenchen also seems decisive. I hope he will be able to get rid of Pianpian when the time comes. I understand Chen, he doesn’t want his friend to go through much pain if Shen Xin remains alive. OUT OF SIGHT, OUT OF MIND

    • It’s not foreshadowing if her divination of them having 7 points of fate is true. That would mean they live happily together unlike 3rd elder n shen xin with 5 points of fate that he would die alone etc.
