  1. I have to admit, I sometimes don’t understand the pacing of this story. Some things take ages to progress, but we have one divination about Mufeng’s master and his wife, and in 2 chapters, everything has fallen apart. I mean, as soon as the poisoning happened, I assumed it was the wife, but I was expecting it to take longer to be confirmed.

    • What are you talking about, the pacing is great! See, no one has tried to harm Mufeng in the last couple chapters but suddenly someone turns out to be evil! So now we can kill them off! That way things stay interesting and the readers don’t get bored! (sarcasm, btw. This pacing sucks so much it’s funny)

What I don’t understand is what the author has against the Mufeng having allies. We’re coming up on the half-way point of the story, nearly 300 chapters in, and the only allies I’d say Mufeng has are the beast pets (who will die if they betray so they barely count) and the masters. That’s it. And one of the masters is about to die.

      • Finding allies you can trust with your life is rky hard in cultivation stories so I’m not surprised he has so few or that ones hes had betrayed him in some way. Ppl are selfish n in it for their own benefits. The setting amplifies that.

    • To be fair it’s more realistic bc you can’t trust anyone but yourself in the cruel world of cultivation. I’m not surprised it happened now either bc he did tell mufeng he would go ask immediately given the threat of the poison. Having allies you can really trust is near impossible. Remember that 3rd elder’s previous partner whom he trusted with his life also betrayed and abandoned him. This book is all about betrayal and not being able to truly trust anyone. Even in the original storyline, there was betrayal n the scum stallion protagonist. Our mc loving the villian ml is an anomaly.

  2. Man, I was hoping it’s not her and that it’s the other female disciple 😟 I hope he’ll survive, I like the two old masters 😔

  3. I thought he would survive because the fortune-teller girl told him two partners, but because of the comments, I now doubt

Thank you very much for the translation 💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗

  4. I was really rooting for them T.T gahd my trust issue skyrocketed and now I won’t be surprised if Pianpian will end up with the og ml

  5. This feels so out of place. They have been together for 1000 years and she decides to poison him now? It makes no sense. A grudge that big becomes a heart demon and yet she cultivates normally….Also her adoptive father just striked her and called her a bitch just like that????? the daughter he oh so much treasured? wtf? Does the author have some personal issues with women? they all are either stupid or arrogant beyond redemption!

    • Yes this whole chapter seems forced and unnecessary. If the author wanted her to be 2-faced, he should have dropped some hints or made it more complex. This is too abrupt

      • I got a feeling she was 2 faced when she ran to tattle on how mufeng spent the spirit stones master gifted him. She did so knowing he’d be rly upset and w.o first asking mufeng. She tried to cover up her scheming there by helping him get the master’s forgiveness but that was one of the hints I picked up plus like someone said her interest in poison was out of place. Not all grudges become heart demons serious enough to affect cultivation. She was able to keep her revenge in mind enough to keep calm n carry on.as she knew it would take a very long time to take revenge on someone much stronger.

    • Those years were used to build up trust and loce slowly so he wouldn’t suspect her of trying to harm him. As you can see, it worked pretty well bc he was trying to convince himself it wasn’t her even as she stabbed him.

    • Also he cherished her as his foster daughter yes but she’s in the middle of killing his good friend and her husband after lmf told him she prob poisoned him so hisanger of that outweighs her. He’d react similarly if it was 3rd elder attacking her.

  6. It seems to me that the author hates women (눈‸눈) and a couple of chapters ago he remembered that he accidentally left one normal female character in the text, so he decided to kill her. Too far-fetched reason for poisoning. It would be fine if the Master cheated on her, then there would be a reason for revenge, but why remember what happened 1000 years ago?

  7. NOOOO WHYYYYY💔💔💔😭😭😭THIS JUST CAME PUT OF NOWHERE!! I TRUSTED YOUUUUUU!!!!! WHY ISN’T THERE A SINGLE GOOD PERSON OR HAPPY ENDING IN THIS BOOOK???!!!!! NO AUTHOR DID US DIRTY, THE RWVELATION WAS TOO SUDDEN, FEELS LIKE A PLOT TO INCREASE MC TRSUTWORTHINESS, I DPNT LIKE ITTTTT!!!!! THE MC WOULD HAVE ATLEAST NOTICED SOMETHING AT THE BEGINNING. OR MAYBE IT’S TO BRING OUT A FLAW THAT HE CANT PREDICT EVERYTHING OR THE PLOT WAS GOING TOO SMOOTHLY. EITHER WAY, WHYYYYYY??!!!😥

  8. This story is scary, we don’t know when the allies gonna turn their back on the mc. I still disappointed with the fang sibling route.

  9. I kno its supposed to be cute but the sect master’s berating liu mufeng n xiao xu as though xiao xu cant be alone at all ever now that he’s pregnant is annoying.

  10. Her anger is so stupidly misplaced. The heavenly demon sect killed the villagers. They could’ve easily not murdered innocents but they did just bc of someone who’d previously lived there and now you blame that someoneas though they ordered it. Stupid stupid stupid.
