The name used here is 某江, and I can’t tell if it’s supposed to be a placeholder name, like “xxx street” or “ABC school”, or if it’s parodying JJWXC, one of the biggest Chinese webnovel publishers, which is named 晋江 in Chinese. I named it Moujiang, just in case, because the “Mou” is a word that means “a certain [something]” or the “xxx” in “xxx street”.

This here is a wordplay on a Chinese idiom, 胡言乱语, pronounced “hú yán luàn yǔ”, meaning “to speak nonsense” or “speaking nonsense”. The pen name is 狐言乱羽, also pronounced “hú yán luàn yǔ”, which I’ve taken the liberty to translate as seen above.

千年王八万年龟, or “A thousand year tortoise, a ten thousand year turtle”. It sounds like nonsense, but it actually refers to how tortoises are so long-lived, they seem to be immortal. It’s used to describe people who are exceedingly old and cunning, but in this case, it’s also literal since Boss Wu is a turtle. I’ve taken some artistic liberties in my translation of the saying into English.

定海神针, literally “Divine Needle that Stabilises the Ocean”, is a very famous weapon also known as the Ruyi Jingu Bang that belongs to Sun Wukong. In Journey to the West, Sun Wukong acquired this weapon after going to the Underwater Kingdom of Ao Guang and asking the Dragon King of the East Sea for a weapon. The staff initially appears as a massive black iron pillar that is immensely heavy and, after recognising an owner, can grow or shrink according to the owner’s wishes. When you call someone a 定海神针, it means they are a stabilising force.
