  1. The distribution of rewards feels a bit stingy tbh. He only gets 10% of what he worked for. Bot even a fifth or fourth but a tenth. Ouch.

    • Sounds like it in our modern society, but you need to remember that this is a free-for-all kill-or-be-killed world. Having massive amounts of wealth directly increases your possibility of death due to robbing or other things.

Plus, it was mentioned that Tianheng technically also has the right to use the Profound Qi Eyes (and consequently the veins) that belongs to the sect if he wishes to. So even though it belongs to the sect, if that 10% is noy enough then he has the rights to be lent more. Still, I don’t think he himself would need that much so early in his development. Tianheng and Ah Zuo didn’t need it, and other martial artists most likely doesn’t necessarily require it yet. It sounds like something you only really need to expand and entice people to be your subordinate (as a big faction).

    • If it weren’t for the sect, he wouldn’t even have the chance to compete. So obviously they would need to get a cut of the entrance fee and the negotiation fee with the other sects involved. As well as protection fee for their contender.

Even after obtaining the veins, at Tianheng’s current level, he can’t do anything with them either. Whether moving them, storing them, or properly anchoring them to a location, that all requires higher level cultivators. So there’s all that service and maintenance fees involved.

In this mission, Tianheng is essentially serving as one member of the “team” that’s competition for the resources. Though he is the most visible member of the team while the role of the rest of the sect is more behind the scenes.

    • I already understoodwhere the decision came from but the distribution still just felt not great at first glance. No need to overexplain. Lol 😝

  2. The Palace Master looks like he’s fully understanded that his disciple is a 2in1 deal, the martial Gongyi Tianheng and his pharmacist Gu Zuo hahaha

To the tournament arc! … maybe? Or mission arc? I’m betting on something like an open range survival competition…
