    This novel continues to be one of my absolute favorites. Some slow-burn novels give me hives from all the teasing, but this one makes me trust that it will happen when the time is right. I do wonder what the catalyst will be, though~ They are already so close, after all.

    The pace is perfect and the story well developed no rush, not too much aberration, and to date, everything has a purpose. And not much introduce event get sideline.

  17. I really love this novel. It is one of those novels that sucks you in and at the end of the chapter you are bewildered where the rest is. 😲 After every chapter I always think this was it? Didn’t I just start reading. I am not saying that the chapters are small. The writing ( and the translation thereof) is so fascinating, that being immersed for hours would just be enough. 😆I think I started rereading for the 3rd time now.

    To watch Ah Zuo’s growth fascilitated by Tianheng and their ever deepening relationship next to the great plot is just so much fun. Thanks for translating this great story so well.

  18. i love this novel it’s one of the few where you don’t have stupid 2d characters coming up to the mc to provoke him every 2 chapters which makes the story predictable. I also love the dynamic of the mc and ml sweet without being too mushy and one is a martial artist the other is an alchemist who trust his bro with his protection and resources.

    So far, aside from Ah Zuo’s lack of intelligence regarding the matter of willingly abandoning his husband only to return home, there’s nothing for me to pick on.. (To be honest, I’m quite scared about that event happening, I’m not that good with such dramas, my poor Tianheng will feel so deceived….)

    But I am happy about the fact, that they are becoming closer and hopefully more intimate in the chapters to come.

I’m super excited because I read a spoiler of something that happens later in the story and each chapter gets closer and closer to me finally being able to read it!!!     Though explanations are often needed, I really love that this novel is about the experiences and their path forward! There’s still so much we and the characters don’t know, and that we’ll get to see!!

  36. I was never patient when it comes to slow burn romances, but surprisingly I didn’t mind it with this novel. The world building is so interesting and I can’t help feel so proud seeing everything this two had accomplished so far since day one. I love novels with game elements where we get to see characters lvl up through their adventures, so I guess it also applies to this. Seeing them ascend in such an astonishing pace compared to the people they came with in the sect.

    Lastly, I love the translation. Updating in a decent pace and wonderful quality, Thank you translator-sama for this! <3

    • Right?? I was surprised too! At the start i thought i’d hate it since the novel is so long with slow romance, but honestly- the world building distracts me from thinking things like: “when will they start to like each other romantically? When will they realize? When’s the confession?”

      And usually i kinda mind it when novels don’t talk that much about the romance but this novel has so many interesting things going on that i don’t mind at all! It’s a bit confusing but that just tells you how good and interesting the world building is uwu💜

  43. I’ve finished reading this novel years ago, but I MTLed. If I remembered it correctly, there was a scene where GTH met Xi Yangyun and latter informing GTH that JL was dead. It was done by JL’s aide. XY also informed GTH that he will leave the sect and travel the world or something like that.

    There was also a scene where GTH returned to Cangyun and took 100 of his tianlong guards back to the sect but during the travel GZ was left at the sect. While GZ was at the sect he help Senior Xu with his psychic cultivation. And there are also other scenes but was not in the translation. Did the author edited the novel?
