    pharmacists are like pigeons (xu lingxiu the proudest and prettiest pigeon), and martial artists are like tigers. so the tigers get stronger bc of the pigeons but xlx thinks the pigeons should be free and the tigers should be the ones begging for their help. so it makes sense that a pigeon, especially a beautiful and talented pigeon who could have the whole world paying for his help once he flourishes, steadfastly following a tiger seems like he’s limiting his power and influence. but unbeknownst to him, gu zuo is riding on the coattails of the world’s shounen anime protagonist x’D

    • For the people meeting them for the first time such as XBN, they would maintain propriety and not comment on it, especially since they witnessed that scene earlier when GYTH caught the tripping GZ. As for those who’ve known the pair longer such as XLX, the pair constantly address each other with “big brother” and “Ah Zuo”, so the knowledge of GZ being GYTH’s adoptive brother wouldn’t be much of a change in the status quo.

      Although, it’s been a while since I last read the earlier chapters, so my understanding may be a little rusty in terms of chronological order.

      • I’m merely irritated by XLX not reacting to this statement, the others don’t really count for me. xD

        I’ve gone back to check, XLX never once heard Ah’Zuo call Tianheng “Big brother” and also didn’t know about it beforehand. Which is also why Tianheng revealling it this time should be a significant statement, and XLX not making any comment, not even thinking about any comment seems so odd to me.

        XLX is still “upset” about Ah’Zuo blindly following his “young master” instead of standing by himself. That’s why I was anticipating him reacting to this new fact with something along the lines of “no wonder he’s so dead set on following that guy. He’s his adopted brother!”

        Maybe author-sama wanted to do something like this but forgot about it while writing… cough
