It's Easy to Take Care of a Live-in Hero!Ch40.1 - Wish

Full of relief that I was able to return, I clung to Sig, the corners of my eyes wet with tears. Even though I was a man, I did such a shameful thing. mhOCja

Apparently, I hadn’t fallen into the “border river” in the first place. Sig told me that he woke up this morning as usual, saw my sleeping face, and left the room. After he finished chopping wood and returned to check on me, the bed was empty. Following his instincts, he went looking for me, and found me collapsed under the God’s tree.

Everything that had happened so far had taken place a little before dawn. I thought it was already dusk when I woke under the tree because the sky was dim, but it was actually not yet daybreak.

It would be hard for me to get out of the room without Sig sensing it. The mysterious power that was neither dream nor illusion should have taken me away after Sig had woken.

“You told me to fulfil my own wish, and I thought about it a lot.”

The two of us strolled around the garden, basking in the morning light. After a light breakfast, I’d also finished taking care of the animals as usual.

The cultivating earthworm, Rosé, was full of energy, squirming in the black soil of the empty field. She certainly grew much more splendid than when I had first encountered her. It happened on the day that Sig woke up. I stopped in my tracks, recalling that nostalgic day.

It hadn’t even been twenty days since then, but so many things happened that it felt like I’d been here for a very long time. Speaking of which, there were other times when I had felt the same way. Like the day Sig proposed to me. 4rCc2z

“I would be lying if I said I didn’t want to go home at all. But… the truth is, I want to live here.” We paused next to the plum tree full of leaves, and I turned to Sig. The gentle waves of his blond hair was bathed in the morning sun, sparkling white in the light.

His smile was also just as dazzling. “…Yeah. I’m really happy with your feelings.”

Then, why?

I swallowed the words that I wanted to say the moment Sig took my hand. He pulled me along like that, and we headed towards the western forest. Quiet, Sig continued walking along the path. 3U8R z

“Even so, you have a place to go home. As your partner, I can’t just neglect that fact.”

“That’s… Even I don’t think of my hometown as something insignificant! But if I can only choose one, then I’ll choose yo―”

Sig squeezed my hand. “I don’t want to lose you.”

  1. Sig is speaking so ambiguosly like just him that he can’t stay for long periods in your world!!😂

    Thank you for the chapter!💕💕

  2. This… Is Sig’s afterlife right?

Maybe the reason Sig doesn’t want him to stay is because he’s in a coma or something in his world and if he stays it means he has died in the other world?

    • In chapter 22.2 when he Sig and his father are talking on the phone, he is told that his beloved’s soul has lived to long in another world and is rooted there, and if he stays for to long in the garden that he will die. However, Sig is the only one who knows this, since he was talking on the phone, and it wasn’t written in a text.

  3. Okay he dies is that really bad thing because sig is technically dead can’t they just bring him back as a spirit and just have him stay at that place, but it does make sense if he just goes back and forth from his world until everyone, he knows dies…..
