The “you” in the raws is actually “qing” which can mean: high ranking official (old), term of endearment between spouses (old) and so on. For this paragraph specifically, it’s most likely referring to the term of endearment.

Thanks to El for helping, we interpreted the saying as; “It’s better to lose the sky than to lose you”.

The saying also originates from this famous poem 自古多情空余恨 by 白居易.

Roughly translated by El; “Since ancient times, affection will bring nothing but regret.” by Bái jū yì. uZkBT1

  35. I’m a sucker for a plot twist inside a plot twist inside a plot twist. Even if they become something you somehow instinctively realise it will happen, they’re quite entertaining to read.

    • Where is that place where those souls they replaced went to? ML said they went where they should go… Were all these transmigrations the reincarnations MC went through? Or did the ML used them to finish the ritual he started before he was sealed? 🤔

      • The souls go to another realm that Ye Cang created just for GuBai. Meaning a new world. All those 3000 worlds that Ye Cang went incognito with amnesia and hired souls to fulfill tasks, are from the existing six realms. The unresigned souls from the six realms went into contract with Ye Cang basically, lend their souls energy that Ye Cang used to build the seventh realms which then let the souls reincarnate into these seventh realms. After all, the existing six realms disappointed those souls.
