Today I was mocked and accused of being a useless man, who could only rely on Zhao Gongzi like a pitiful, hidden kept pet who couldn’t be shown in the light of day.
I very seriously refuted this accusation. First of all, I had once worked hard to save Zhao Gongzi’s school grades, and even tried to help him by giving him the test answers. He was the one who slept too much and forgot to copy the answers, that was his problem. Secondly, I wasn’t a hidden, kept pet who couldn’t be shown in the light of day. At least, I wasn’t someone who couldn’t be shown in the light of day, because every year for my birthday, Zhao Gongzi would make sure the whole town knew about it, ensuring that I’d be featured on the front page of the newspaper. (Only in my head, I think that) Truthfully, every year I would have that bit of time when I’ll think about assassinating Zhao Gongzi (but I daren’t say so out loud).
The other party was a little caught off guard and asked me what skills I had, and how I earned my living.
I seriously thought about it. Translating foreign books, writing articles for the newspaper’s editorial, teaching a class at the European Academy every week, being an Internal Affairs clerk at the Central European Bank, and being a city library manager. This is all that I did this year.

We would always very enjoyably and happily discuss important things, then once we were finished he would try and provoke me. A lot of the time, I think, Jin Xian’er is much easier to get along with than Zhao Gongzi. Jin Xian’er’ soul is interesting and charming. If Zhao Gongzi wasn’t in the picture, then Jin Xian’er’ soul would continue being interesting and charming, and perhaps I would even develop romantic feelings towards him.
Zhao Gongzi balled up his coat and threw it at me.“Fucking asshole! Tomorrow Laozi’s going to kill him!”

“Then how about you demonstrate how to mop the floor then.”
Zhao Gongzi coldly laughed. “Ha, mop the floor, like hell. Go to sleep.”

I woke up in the middle of the night because of some noises. Zhao Gongzi was nowhere to be seen.
I got up and went to the living room, where I saw Zhao Gongzi mopping the floor. The floor was soaking wet.
I asked him, “Won’t the wooden floorboards get damaged?”
He shouted back, “Get lost, get lost, get lost! I don’t see any water!! Are you blind?!”
Zhao Gongzi is getting more and more annoying.
“Stop mopping. Tomorrow Mrs. Wang will come back, leave the mopping to her.”
Zhao Gongzi said, “She’s not coming back, my dad just called and said that she’s smarter and better than the servants he has over there, so he’s not giving her back.”
Old Master Zhao stole his son’s servants on a regular basis. Our chef and butler both disappeared in this way.
