They walked into the diner as a host took them to a table, handing them menus. The person walked off, telling them that the server would be there soon. Song Mu looked through the menu, wondering how to start the conversation. But, Ren Yi began first.
“Thank you for seeing me today.” Ren Yi spoke, almost making it sound like Song Mu was at an interview. For what? He didn’t know.
“I don’t mind. Since I only work with your sister, I am free most days.” Ever since Ren Yu picked him up, he didn’t need to work with anyone else. She pays him well.
“Still, most people like to spend time with their friends or alone if they are free.” Ren Yi continued.
Song Mu shook his head, “My best friend is currently overseas, so my other choice would be with my parents, and I would rather not. My father would make me workout, and my mother would make me join in on her hobby for that day.”
Ren Yi opened his mouth, getting ready to reply when the server appeared at the table, asking what they wanted to drink. Song Mu ordered water while Ren Yi got the same. The server left after that.
“Your parents seem like hard-working people.”
“Ah, they are. I love my parents but growing up with them was a challenge. There should be something about taking your five-year-old child to the gym for exercising. And when my mom got into sewing, she would not allow me to buy any clothes; she wanted to make them all.” Song Mu could not stop himself from complaining.
Others had it worse, but thinking back to everything his mother made him through sewing to his father trying to make him use weights at a young age made Song Mu shiver.
Ren Yi chuckled, causing Song Mu’s heart to beat faster. He loves the sound of Ren Yi’s laughter. “I can slightly understand. Before Ren Yu’s and my parents passed, they loved taking us on all their business trips and had us sitting in their meetings. It was torture.”

Humming, Ren Yi tapped his fingers along the table. “Then, I hope I can find out more about you.”
Fuck, Song Mu’s heart almost stopped at Ren Yi’s response. Who was the one seducing who here? His fingers trembled as he sipped his cold water, trying to calm himself.
“So, why did you want to meet today?” Song Mu quickly changed the subject after his heart went back to normal.
“Most people don’t know that I own an art studio around here. I wanted to take you there and draw you.” Ren Yi honestly told him.

Song Mu ended up choking on his spit; Ren Yi wanted him dead. Because how else is a person supposed to react to their crush saying they want to draw them naked?

Secretly, Ren Yi couldn’t stop thinking about Song Mu’s leg tattoos and bulge. He bit the inside of his cheek, wondering how Song Mu would look with no clothes on. Ren Yi had drawn people nude before, but that was when he was in college. This time, he is doing it for selfish reasons.
Song Mu looked at the ceiling, wondering if everything was moving too fast. Sending a picture of your bare legs to your crush, check. Going out on a ‘not’ date, check. And lastly, having them draw you nude, that is a wobbly check.
There are so many thin lines between them and who is Song Mu not to take this unexpected opportunity? Ren Yi is most likely thinking about this through an artist mindset. Song Mu needs to take his dirty mind out for a walk and talk with it.
“You can draw me; I don’t mind. I mean, you like my tattoos, so it shouldn’t be a problem.” Song Mu finally answered after going through circles. Hopefully, he could tell his buddy to stay down during the whole drawing experience.
Ren Yi held back his smile, only nodding his head, “Thank you.”
“You’re welcome.”
They changed the subject as they waited for their food to come. During the entire time, Song Mu kept thinking about Ren Yi drawing him naked. He was nervous about his reactions to Ren Yi’s eyes only on him.
But then, something else hit him; he had to bite the inside of his cheek to stop them from turning red. He forgot that his friend tattooed a small snake on his ass! It was two years ago, and they were both drunk out of their minds. Song Mu wondered how his friend’s hand stayed sturdy during the process.
Is it too late to take back his agreement?
And he knew it was too late when they finally finished eating, leaving the diner. Their feet were already taking them to Ren Yi’s studio.
At this point, Song Mu might actually start crying.
