Zifu can mean two things:
-A palace or realm where immortals live. trC5Nu

-A microcosm inside of the body of those who practice cultivation. Located at the forehead between the eyebrows or third eye, which is also called upper Dantian or “the muddy pellet” (among many other names), associated with the pineal gland. This furnace is where the shen or soul is refined into wu wei or emptiness.

  13. I feel like this isn’t gonna be a popular opinion, but I don’t love the fact that QT never really consented. Also MTL admits that he took advantage of the situation so it’s good he recognizes it, but I hope it isn’t brushed over like it’s no big deal because QT was clearly weak and in a vulnerable position and I feel like I would have felt taken advantage of too. Especially cause he hasn’t opened up to that kind of stuff yet. This is no hate to the author or translator or people who enjoyed the chapter and I don’t wanna come across as trying to spoil the fun. It was just iffy for me personally. 😐

    • Yeah, I was a bit uncomfortable with this. I love this author, especially Wife is First. But this is the first time I’ve encountered dual cultivation described in detail and with a gravely injured shou to boot.

    • I agree with you. I know we all like different things and that’s fine, I just happen to be one of those who think consent is not only hot, but also important. Without it, it takes away a lot of my enjoyment of these scenes. So you’re not alone in feeling like this.

    • Instead of noncon, this is more of a dubcon. Stories with consent is undoubtedly hot but I don’t think every story should be portraying consent simply because in real life it wasn’t like that. As long as it wasn’t written like it was the right thing to do.

      In this particular story, Mtl didn’t really tell the shou other choice(the shou thought he will help searching for other herbs instead but Mtl had the nerveto say he gonna papapa anyway). He was clearly taking him by force when there’s other way to save him. I actually was expecting him to feed the shou that forget sorrow herb and we’ll be getting an arc of the shou completely forgetting Mtl but…..he’s a demonic cultivator after all

  18. It kills me to see just how deeply QT loves MTL. But the furry bastard will sooner drop dead then admit it lol. He will bend over backwards and tell himself the dumbest excuses in order to explain his own love away. Not even to MTL, but to himself. I guess, like MTL said, it’s just still too early for QT to be able to handle such emotions, and closeness.

    On the other side, I wish MTL would pick up more deftly on the wee cues the kitty does drop every now and then. Altho to be fair, their level of communication and development is mind blowing in comparison to pretty much every other wx/xx/hx/hist danmei, I have to give credit where credit is due!
