  20. I read all 60 chaps straight without sleeping last night! The story is so wonderful. Jing Shao being a loving and silly husband made the story so sweet and hilarious😂😘. If i have someone beautiful, wise and loyal like Mu Hanzang i will love him to death! I stan for Hao Dadao, he’s the best man out there!!😤😤

      • You mean they had to fight for two weeks to exhaust all the stones and rations in the city? I don’t know why they lasted so long after their own king abandoned his people (even his own legitimate grandson).

        • They had to since getting near the walls are dangerous than usual. If my understanding was right, since the city was on higher grounds, it would a slope around and that would make carrying shields and rams difficult due to gravity. Also, as the walls are higher, the free falling rocks would be more fatal and the high vintage point give advantage to archers (it helps maximize the distance the arrow can reach and also the impact). Hence, as the description, the city was easy to depend but hard to attack.

          ML and MC wasn’t in a rush so it’s more logical for them to slowly engage the enemy to minimize their own casualties. Also, half a month siege is not long in military campaigns. For example was ML’s previous life that took him almost a year (or yrs).

          Finally, an escaping leader wouldn’t let even his army know of it. First, it could alert the enemy. Secondly, those soldiers are left there as sacrifice to buy time for the leaders to escape. Letting them know and letting them give up the fight or surrender wouldn’t be favorable for the escaping leader.

    • The name is like that in the original text! Sometimes CN authors do that XD I assume it’s to not have to keep track of too many characters and get readers confused 🙂
