I agree completely. It shouldn’t be normal to date older and even if Shu Ning presents as the same age, mentally he should be even older than he was in his last life.
I commented on SN’s maturity in a previous chapter because the way that he acts is more in line with the character that he became then the age that I assumed he was/is. But, the thing is, the author hasn’t actually said how old he was before so he could be like 18-19. In which case, he’s still pretty immature.

Shu Ning has definitely graduated from junior high, he died young but he had a job. So he’s most likely in the university student age range between 17-22. But even if he has all of his memories intact, it seems that his current body’s brain development level is restricted to that of a 14 year old, because he doesn’t exactly come across as an adult. That’s why it doesn’t bother me. On the other hand, it would’ve really bothered me, as well as his parents, if he had actually tried to date a 20+ man/woman.
agreed with ScholarSilentSnow. there’s a bit gray plot about his transmigration. he seems transmigrated when he was a child but amnesia makes him completely forget about the book plot and ends up bullying Mingzheng until he fell and got back his memories about the book. eventhough he sometimes thinks more mature, he still perceives himself as teenage so his innocent personality stay because he’s been living in this world book normally for years.
He has memories of being adult but I don’t think he has the maturity of one. He transmigrated as a child and lost his memories of his previous life for some reason. And just recently recovered it. I don’t consider it as him having lived those extra years.
