What’s interesting is that the LZZ from the previous timeline actually bled into the current one, completely throwing off the current LZZ. At least before, he was confused and a little hurt in the face of Su Liang’s indifference. Now he’s genuinely being haunted by glimpses of the previous life. I actually feel a little bad for Lu Zhizhao. I’m not even sure he’s actually a slag gong; he genuinely seems kinda… dense. I doubt he understood how the power inequality between them affected Su Liang. Still, he’s an adult, and if he was really so taken with Su Liang, I’m not sure why a man of his capabilities didn’t keep tabs to ensure his comfort and safety.

All this happened cus of the power struggle within the Lu family, and with the “cooperation” between the Lu family and the Ning family, it’s no wonder things turned out the way they did.
And LZZ!! This naive bastard…he didn’t realise how his actions can affect SL until they eloped and the Su family basically cut off all their ways of living peacefully.
Also, i believe he loved SL and I’m pretty sure him agreeing to the wedding had something to do with the Lu/Ning family using SL to convince him but ultimately that “love” lead to him becoming crazy/obsessive/psycho after SL’s death. Well he’s basically in denial that he directly or indirectly caused his death ig? (I don’t think someone like the crazy LZZ willingly agreed to the marriage without condition)
