Story of Another UsCh26 - Hate The Rich

When Headmaster Juno entered the clinic, she gave Sebi a stern look, initially intending to scold him again. But upon seeing his face, she immediately choked on the words she intended to say.

“What’s wrong?” the headmaster tentatively asked as she sat at his bedside. She reached out to the clipboard at the side table and looked at Sebi’s results. rzvwOL

“Headmaster,” Sebi mumbled. He had been pouting for a few hours ever since Necomir delivered him to the clinic. “I’m not injured or anything, I can’t waste a whole day just idling around. I have to badly catch up with my lessons and review for my highschool equivalency exam. I don’t want to fall behind.”

“That’s not what it says here,” Headmaster Juno said, waving the damned clipboard. Sebi looked at it in displeasure and had half the mind to rip it to shreds with his telekinesis. “You strained your ability too much which will cause headaches and sudden nausea without proper treatment and rest. Your blood pressure also rose. You need to be a good boy and stay here.”

Chrysanthemum Garden.

Sebi continued to pout distastefully. Headmaster Juno coaxed him to ease his mood, convincing him that it wasn’t a bad thing to take one rest day after being against such a dangerous man.

“And besides, if you leave the clinic, the media will want to hear something directly from you rather than a statement from the Academy. Would you like to face the media yourself?” S89u2a

Sebi didn’t want his face in front of billions of people, so he simply gave up and accepted his fate.

After Headmaster Juno made sure he had settled in, he soon left Sebi so he could rest for the night.

“Hey.”

Sebi had started to doze off against the warm patient’s bed when he had heard someone telepathically call out to him. The voice was familiar, soft and sounded hesitant, and only one person could have done it.

Turning his head to the side, Sebi lifted the curtain giving him privacy and looked into the direction of the next patient’s bed.

Surprisingly, the curtains had not been drawn. Misharu was sitting up on the bed, looking up to the ceiling. His blindfold was nowhere to be seen. Instead, there were bandages wrapped around his head. He looked so pitiful, so unlike the arrogant, difficult bastard who had been messing with him.

“Misharu, you should be resting,” Sebi called out, his tone polite. He still had mixed feelings about this person, so he wasn’t sure how to talk to him aside from simply being polite… even if it seemed kind of awkward.

Misharu finally looked at him, his gray eyes deep, his eyebags dark while tired lines were engraved all over his face.  Like he had not heard what Sebi had said, he suddenly shoved the sheets off his body and walked towards Sebi’s direction. 1dSuKC

Sebi was at high alert, warily watching Misharu, who wasn’t stupid and felt this.

“I’m not going to kill you, moron. Give me your lightband.”

“What–”

Before Sebi could put in a word, Misharu suddenly seized his lightband. He touched the surface, stimulating the hologram scene to pop out. He then touched his own, navigating through it before scanning Sebi’s lightband. SvB4tJ

When Misharu let go of him and walked back to his bed, Sebi felt the hairs on his neck standing on end.

“100,000 primes?!” Sebi screeched as he stood up and stalked towards Misharu’s bed. “Hey, Misharu! This money! Why did you transfer me so much money?!”

Despite feeling tired, Sebi’s mind was alive with questions. He turned to his side, looking over at Misharu quietly.

“This person used to be a girl… I wouldn’t have known.” GVOHJ6

Misharu suddenly resurrected from the dead and glared angrily at Sebi.

“I’m not a girl!” he shouted.

“Of course you’re not,” Sebi dismissively said as he blocked Misharu out of his mind. He had known about it for a while, but he had not delved much into it because of all the work he had to do.

Although Sebi did feel a bit strange about it as someone who grew up in a world in his past life where society was so desperate that there was a strict emphasis on the roles of men and women, Sebi knew it wasn’t worth it to force Misharu to be what he was born as. No matter the beginning, what’s important was the end. At the end, Misharu felt like he was more of a man than a woman, and it’s what matters. KdX0S3

Sebi yawned and curled up. The day had been so long, he really needed to rest.

The next morning, Sebi woke up to the smell of delicious meat. He sprung up, rubbing his eyes as he stared groggily at the scene in front of him.

Misharu was awake, talking to a gentle-looking old man who was holding his hands. People in black suits hurried in to place a table in the clinic. Plates of food slowly accumulated on the table, a sight that made Sebi’s eyes water.

“Oh, your friend is awake,” came the old man’s voice. Sebi looked up and saw him smiling at him, and he was surprised that he didn’t actually look so old. He only had white hair, but his face only had wrinkles around his eyes and aside from that, he looked robust. Sebi knew humans of this era can live up to two hundred years, but he still felt surprised to see it in real life. 1dMD3W

“Decebal, this is my grandpa,” Misharu said.

“I’m Yanzu Tsai,” the man introduced himself. “It’s a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Yan.”

Chrysanthemum Garden.

Sebi bowed his head politely in greeting. “Nice to meet you too, Mr. Tsai.”

“I came by immediately when news broke about Tyrranus Armant infiltrating the school,” Yanzu said as he reached up to pat Misharu’s head. “I was frightened when I heard from the Headmaster that Misharu had been afflicted by his ability, but luckily, you and your friend were there.” EHrxzn

“No worries, Mr. Tsai,” Sebi laughed shyly as he scratched the back of his head. “I was just doing what was right since Akhenaten and I were the only ones conscious while waiting for reinforcements.”

“Headmaster Juno had always been good in leading the school system towards giving the students the best education for their abilities and careers. However, instances like this prove that there are flaws in the protective measures,” Yanzu sighed. “I’m wondering if 50 million primes is too much investment for the protective measures.”

“That’s just the bare minimum for the protection of our smallest manor in Xuvion,” Misharu mumbled.

“You’re right… then 200 million primes should be enough.” 8PoRjn

Sebi wanted to choke as they casually talked about spending primes like they were buying snacks from a little convenience store, gaining a great sense of hatred for the rich. When he was in the Eastern Earth Base, people could only gain credits that they used to buy daily needs through their contribution to the base such as being a researcher, a scholar, a scout, a soldier, or a laborer. Sebi couldn’t even gain past 1,000 credits a month no matter how hard he worked.

“Which reminds me,” Yanzu suddenly said. “Did you compensate Mr. Yan for his service?”

“Gave him 100,000 primes,” Misharu nonchalantly said.

“That’s too little, your life costs more than that,” Yanzu clicked his tongue in disapproval. QygrSx

“He wouldn’t accept any more of it. I’ll just compensate bit by bit later,” Misharu dismissively said.

Sebi was really feeling his heart hurt when it came to talks about money.

Yanzu Tsai spent most of his morning there and left before lunchtime. Around 12:30, Sebi received his own batch of guests.

“Why are you right next to Sebi’s bed?!” Alexandra immediately exclaimed as her hands flared out into flames. 6tVeUS

Misharu rolled his eyes and simply played dead again, not wanting to deal with them.

“Calm down,” Bellona laughed as she placed an arm over Alexandra’s shoulders. “That little sea urchin is injured, he can’t do anything to Sebi.”

Misharu’s temple noticeably twitched in annoyance at the nickname but didn’t say anything.

Necomir ignored them and dashed towards Sebi with a robot aid in tow. He let the robot place a table over his thighs then set out a meal according to what he was allowed to eat while resting. CTy0dE

“How is your head? Any pain?” Necomir wondered while watching him eat through his food, busying himself by cutting through the fish and meat then throwing it into Sebi’s plate.

Sebi shook his head. “I’m fine.”

“No pain? Man, Tyrranus Armant is a psycho! He’s so powerful that he can fight you while influencing everyone inside the whole dormitory, yet you don’t feel any pain after going against him?” Light spoke in surprise.

While they discussed how Sebi fought against Tyrranus Armant until the end, Akhenaten sneakily went over to Misharu and tickled his nose. Tw6mCM

“Fuck!” Misharu yelled in irritation, opening his eyes and glaring at Akhenaten.

“How are you going to repay me for carrying you all the way down the dormitory to the administration building?” Akhenaten teased as he sat at his bedside.

To his pleasant surprise, Misharu actually blushed – the apples of his pale cheeks blossoming a cherry red shade. Akhenaten was stunned for a moment, dazed as he stared at the strange delicateness that crossed Misharu’s usually aggressive features.

Then, he mumbled something under his breath. PIna6K

Akhenaten suddenly leaned in, saying, “What? Didn’t quite catch what you just said.”

Misharu burst out into grumbles before eventually raising his voice, just enough for Akhenaten to hear.

“…giving you real estate and a diamond ring…”

  1. It’s gonna take more than a diamond ring to get me to like you, Misharu Tsai! But I do think your grandpa seems nice!
