I disagree with LXZ. I don’t think Ah Jiu’s memories are complete. In ch.24, it was said that Ah Jiu scattered his soul to protect JYW. —————————————————Here’s a quote from JYW in LXZ’s flashback (ch.24): Ji Yunwei said, “You only saw how I killed the Ji family’s 1298 demonic beasts, but you didn’t see how they allowed those demonic beasts – after they had tricked me into going into the small grotto-heaven to slave away for the family – devour Ah Jiu’s meat and gnawed his bones bite by bite, then divided up his demonic core, drank his blood and even tortured him until even his soul couldn’t rest at peace. Tell me, didn’t they deserve death?”
Still, it’s surprising that another character regained their memories (or maybe he just got reborn very late?)
It makes me wonder if there more characters that have memories of their past life. Perhaps there was SOMEONE who help Ah Jiu regain his memories. The sealed Devine Devil or some new character???
Maybe the reason Ah Jiu got the memories of his past life was due to his interaction barrier between 9 lands – 5 continent which cause time-space rift and got his soul memories from past life.

It doesn’t make sense for the barrier to be the cause of Ah Jiu’s recovered memories because LMC and JYW didn’t regain their memories. Unless it’s because the barrier doesn’t affect the memories of humans.

Well, the think is Yunwei’s revenge of the Ji family’s beasts is after Ah Jiu’s death, so even in his complete memories he can only remember being totured by Yunwei (He don’t even know that Yunwei’s being tricked).
Truly, for every single ship in this story : lack of communication => misunderstandings => tragedy
I just noticed there’s an inconsistency between this chapter and chapter 24 in regards to the cause of Ah Jiu’s death. I’m not sure if this is a mistake on the author’s part or if the cause-of-death info in this chapter based solely on Ah Jiu’s memories in contrast to the recollection of LXZ’s memories in chapter 24 (therefore implying holes in Ah Jiu’s memories). The former seems more plausible since LXZ doesn’t seem to doubt the accuracy of Ah Jiu’s memories.
The biggest inconsistency is WHO was being hunted by the Ji family. In this chapter, it was stated that Ah Jiu was surrounded and killed by the Ji Family. But in chapter 24, JYW was the one who was hunted down by the Ji family for killing all their demonic beasts and that Ah Jiu willingly scattered his own soul.
Quote from ch. 24:
[ However, he didn’t expect that when Ji Yunwei was defeated, he had long lost all his will to fight. And the reason for that was because his nine-tailed fox soul beast – in order to save Ji Yunwei from suffering divine punishment – had chosen to scatter its soul. ]
Ah Jiu’s death was not related JJW.
From LXZ & JJW conversation before latter’s death, we know that JJW was away working, while JI Family surrounded Ah Jiu with their CONTRACTED Demonic Beasts & killed by ’em by drinking his blood & eating his flesh & bones bit by bit, then consuming his demonic core & cultivation.
It is very likely that Ji Family came to know that Ah Jiu was a Spiritual Beast of the legends, Nine-tailed fox, & greed took them over or greed of power (family head position, maybe) & fear of JJW becoming the most powerful with Ah Jiu’s support & a direct threat to their authority. Hence, the diversion to separate Ah Jiu & JJW, maybe tricking Ah Jiu into thinking JJW was cheating on him or something to rattle him & make him unstable emotionally, then finally attacking him, before JJW could ever arrive.
Hence, the hatred at this moment, since Ah Jiu might have felt betrayed & helpless, given up hope on JJW in his last moments in past TL.

It is true that there are some inconsistencies in the plot, well more like strange things that pop up.
The most unlogical thing that bothers me is the point that YTH, who is petty as hell and pretty vengefull, fell in love with LXZ ( unresponsive, cold and then aggressive and abusive) and let him do whatever, without retalliating at all and bearing it like a repentence.
When they mentioned, that he misses two souls, I thought about the possibility of there being two rewinds:
First YTH loses himself and hurts and kills a kind and caring LXZ and regrets it. Turn back one.
Second LXZ loses his compassion part of the soul, that is why he is cold and distant. The rest happens how he rembers. Turn back two.
Now follows the story.
It would explain the slight differences and some suspicously ‘coincidental’ things, like BY standing ready with the soul plate when LXZ died.

Has LXZ mentioned whether or not this barrier stuff with Myriad Demonic Beast Forest occurred in his last life?
If not, then maybe that could imply that there’s another reborn character.
Imagine Time is flowing river, moving forward. Now, if the the time is reversed, then we get a new Timeline, which deviates from the original TL.
Some events from the original TL can be so big that they can cause a ripple-effect (and, ripples are circular, moving outwards in all direction, which means tremors to the pt. in time BEFORE that drastic event as well), effectively sending distress singnals/tremors to the Current TL to the people who experienced & were affected by the said event, aka memory flashes, dejavu, dreams, unease about certain things/people/places, etc. Eg. Here will be YTH having memory flashes in the cave in Sky Peak Sect’s Treasure land, since his experience in original TL was a soul-scattering literally, & his tragic fate was huge event which was linked to the destiny of entire world (Fate of Destruction).
Same is true for Ah Jiu, he experienced tragic fate & it was bound to cause spills from Original TL, hence his original memory gain.
I think, this happened should be because the absence of Soul Plate this lifetime? Xuanzhi said Bei Yichen brought him to Soul Plate where the exact location of the seal is unknown. If we try to match the timeline, then Liu Mengchen might have been inside the Soul Plate dimension barrier for 15 years in the cave, then he was ejected outside. But he never found it again, because 1. There should be array guarding it, 2. 2 When Xuanzhi is reborn, the Soul Plate basically leave the place he is sealed. Now, if Soul Plate really is that place Liu Mengchen went into, it makes sense since didn’t the spiritual Qi in Soul Plate is higher than Five Continent? With Xuanzhi’s rebirth, the seal is sealing something empty. So probably some mulfunction or other mechanism is triggered with the lack of Soul Plate presence, thus what is happening currently in the forest. Why Ah Jiu memories is affected? I am still don’t have theory on this, but if that is indeed the place Xuanzhi refine and activated Revert World Mirror, then some residual things/remnant energy affected Ah Jiu?
